About a year ago, my friend told me to try this game. I was all for it at first but then, after seeing the graphics and the horrors of tutorial island, I quit. I tried it again this year in February and I was like, this is okay... I danced in the streets for money and never took it seriously for a week. Then my other friend told me about party hats. I wanted a party hat. That got me motivated to train some combat. Then I experimented with mining and I was hooked. Only 3 weeks after getting f2p, I bought membership... Now, I spend almost all my online time on RuneScape. The only time I'm not on RuneScape is when I'm talking to people on AIM. And I usually do that WHILE playing RuneScape.

 

 

 

Anyway, just felt like contributing this peice of random fact to the world. Enjoy!! :D

awesome, just don't let RuneScape take over your whole life, you'll be stuck if you do that.

Good luck with getting a P-Hat. I've been playing for 4 years and haven't got one. But then again I haven't really tried lol.

It seems that most newcomers instantly fall in love with mining and smithing, I know I was. Before I knew I would become a member that is.

graphics aren't everything :wink:

I met someone really cool who just started who I bought 10k iron ores off. We became really good friends and all, id buy his iron ore every once in a while. He got 81 mining... but now he never plays cause hes soo bored of mining. Dont be like him.

Yea I was driven away by this game's graphics at the beginning too but then I became to slowly like it. I too fell in love with smithing and minning when I first started. I think its like that for most newbies.

So what? I talk on MSN and Play at the same time, sometimes even do homework and PK at the same time.

 

 

 

But no serriously, you have to have a clear separation between your real life and rs life.

 

My mining is just 71, its funny how you mine when u 1st come into the game and then u realise that ull make better money by w/c and then someone gives u a reality check and u go fishing. Well.. it happened to me... but i just realised that its nothign to do with the post so oops :S :wink:

2 weeks later, I was bored so I tried to get out from the Tutorial Island which I used to think was the whole RS :oops: , got hooked. Took a 3 year break and here I am again. :lol:

Its gonna have 1 def so I need to be able to make all my own armor for that char.

 

 

 

It doesn't need wc so I don't know why I should raise wc for that char besides for money which I can make some other way..

I played runescape for a bit when I had just found out about it, then I quit it for a while because I thought that the combat system sucked, but after 1-2 weeks later I got hooked. :P

Sorry to burst your bubbles, but there was. A tutorial place, anyway. It just got updated throughout the years gone.

 

 

 

I know because first thing I did was talk to a NPC you need to talk when you start your account, kill rats. It was also in RSC.

i remember when i started, 40 attack and strength in one weekend :) i was hooked.

When I first started I didn't want to mine or smith at all. :P But then around level seventeen I found out I needed money, I started mining-smithing, and thus I am 61 mining.

 

 

 

It was that same day that I started mining that I found out where to see your skills at. :roll:

a friend showed me the game in 2001, I was like- omg look at the graphics, Im never gonna play something like that... a month later tried once more, and now here i am with the same first account still playing :)))

I found out about the game around April 2004 when I saw someone people playing it in school. I was reluctant to play because I was playing a different on-line game at the time and I knew that if i started playing a different game I would become hooked and stop playing the game I was playing. Well about a month later the game I was playing had a major update which screwed it up so I began playing Runescape and have been hooked on it ever since. :D

Last year of April 05, my friend in computer class was playing it, didnt creat an account because it looked like a game I wouldnt be interested in. But 1 day in computer I was bored so I created an account, played it for a little. 1 weekend i died and lost like 500 gp in stuff, so i quit, but then a couple of days later I gave it a try and got hooked, I quit 2 times. I quit in July before the farming skill came out (for like a week or 2) and I quit in October for like 2 months.

 

 

 

My main goal in rs was to get a santa becuase i just wanted 1, bought my first one in late july for 2.336m. After only 4 months of playing lol.

 

 

 

Right now, most of my friends from school have quit it, only like 2 remain playing it.
