fgfuyfyuiuy0
They probably mis-spelled in the heat-of-the-moment. It's suppose to be pooned or p00ned... I <3 Gears of War 2. Add me on Xbox Live and mention you are from Tif :D
kwimbob
Wrong forum. Also, it's the abbreviated pwn'ed, which is the abbreviated pooned. :? Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well. And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. Makes for a good life.[hide]YOU'RE GONNA CARRY THAT WEIGHT.- See You, Space Cowboy.[/hide][/hide]

Freshwacka
owned = pwned = pooned = misspelling of poned And since pwned is blocked by password censorship, people use owned or pooned or p00ned. 99 Crafting Blog
Kalphite
I use it sometimes because I get tired of people saying owned in Duel Arena. except I say powned, but same point.
trunksrs
lol, is it ok with you if I start using "cornmealed"? I don't mind people saying owned (if they actually tore someone apart), but I have always thought pwned and the different versions of that were pretty dumb. stevepole
i would say ppl say poned is because pwned shows up like **ned and it pretty much sounds the same.
Danyo
poned is actually a corruption of "pwned", but the censor blocks the "pw" part. "pwned" comes from a very old CouterStrike screenshot with a typo posted on some clan site, and it snowballed from there... Ero
Pwned actually came from the game "Warcraft", a map designer for the game had a map in which when the computer beat the player, it would say "so-and-so has been owned." But the map designer made a typing error and put "so-and-so has been pwned." So basicly it means exactly the same as owned, and has also become a widely used word. Ero. deangut
Actually the word Corn derives from the ancient word of n3d. When the ancient tribes would get together and have gathering for supremecy they would have 1 of each of their top tribesmen fight to death. Fight was call pass the wiffle or pw... when the fight was over they would celebrate the winner by having a meal of chicken and corn. In memory of the dead tribesman they would rise their glasses and yell.. Birdd
It was explained to me once that it started with owned and then became pwned where the p stands for another name for cat and w stands for whipped... and the ned comes from owned but pwned is censored so it became pooned and poned is some person who is killing my favorite language, english.
