*NOTE* I'm aware there is another guide on this, the reason i still made mine is because another one by oddfaery was released while i was making mine and I wasn't going to stop creating when I was nearly finished.

well, sir you have read the right post, this is Nightryder3's official Guide to The Dagganoth Kings

 

The following is how to slay the Notorious Dagganoth Kings, successfully and properly.

What do King Dagganoths drop?

 

 

 

-Archer's Ring +4 to Range

 

-Berserker Ring +4 to Strength

 

-Seers Ring +4 to Magic

 

-Warrior Ring +4 to attacks

 

-Mud staff - Unlimited Earth and Water runes.

 

-Dragon Hatchet - Self explainitory

 

-Dragon Med helm

 

-Dragon Left Half

 

-Skeletal armour peices

 

-Seercull Bow

 

-Rock-shell armour peices

 

-Other basics rares like dragonstones etc..

 

 

 

Is it worth spending the money to go to King Dagganoths?

 

 

 

Yes, i've gained over 20 Mill here. The drops are very expensive, It's just a matter of doing it properly.

 

 

 

Reading your guide it is much different than Oddfaery's, does that mean one of them is wrong?

 

 

 

No, both of the guides are correct, they are just different ways of doing them.

 

 

 

THE GUIDE TO KING DAGGANOTHS

 

 

 

Meet The Kings

 

 

 

Since we're killing these beasts let's get farmiliar with them shall we?

 

 

 

Dagganoth Supreme - Style Of Combat - Range

1. Pre-Game (Preparing your Inventory)

 

 

 

-First thing is to make your team, i recommend 3 to 5 people.

 

-Decide who will be killing which dagganoth and suit up accordingly.

 

-Read below to figure out who will being doing what.

 

 

 

Mages - Will be luring REX, so dress accordingly. Since mages don't take much damage from Rex because of the safe spot, mages should wear High range defence armour to protect from the monsters on the side. (recommended 1 to 2 mages)

 

 

 

Recommended Stats for a mage at Dagganoths.

 

- 50+ Magic if 55 Slayer or higher.(Slayer Dart)Very affordable hits well)

 

- 80+ Magic for Saradomin, Zamorak or Guthix strikes.

 

 

 

Now since not everyone can afford Full Guthans i have taken multiple pictures for what a mage should wear depending on what you can afford dress accordingly.

Ranger/Melee - Will be ranging Prime and Meleeing Supreme, for this you will need good defence but at the same time a decent range bonus, simple adjustments to raising your range bonus can be made including wearing vambraces instead of gloves also ranger boots are helpful.

 

*NOTE* it's more important to have a higher range bonus because the Supreme is easier to kill.

 

(Recommended 2 to 3 Ranger/Meleers.)

 

 

 

Recommended Stats to Range/Melee.

 

- 70+ Range

 

- Crystal Bow is HIGHLY recommended (Roving Elves Quest Required.)

 

- a Magic Shortbow can be used, BUT it costs a lot more. and you also hit a lot less

 

- 70+ Attack.

 

- 70+ Defence.

 

- Regicide Quest Completed for Dragon Halberd.

 

 

 

Once again, not everyone can afford Full Guthans so i have provided multiple pictures depending on what you can afford.

2. Ready To Go (Heading To Waterbirth Island.)

 

 

 

Now, Waterbirth Island isn't your average island. or average creatures for that matter, there is a few things in your way including Doors and monsters.

 

 

 

Your first obstacle will be getting to waterbirth island, it's quite simple talk to Jarvald and ask if you can travel to waterbirth with him, he will agree.

Now your on waterbirth island head south-west to a cave, it will give you a danger warning before you enter, of course you will say yes and enter otherwise you wouldn't be reading this guide :)

Next run north you will see 3 doors. each will have two things on the ground that look like buttons have your team all go through the same door by one person standing on one "button" and another stand on the other button and clicking "open" on the door, now depending on which door you went through you will need to pray accordingly.

Far West Door - "Giant Rock Crabs" - Level 137, pray nothing and run north until you reach the "Door-Support"

Middle Door - "Wallaskis" - Level 98, Pray magic and head North to the "Door-Support"

Far East Door - "Dagganoths" - Level 91, Pray range, these dagganoths hit WAY MORE often than the original Dagganoths at the Lighthouse.

Once you come to the "Door-Support" pull out you Rune Thrown Axes,Turn on special and throw an axe at the door support across from you, not the door infront of you. this special will make the axe bounce off each door knocking over the door support infront of you.

 

Head DOWN the ladder praying MAGIC.

Now, you have to go through a bunch of ladders until you reach the king dagganoths.

 

Pray accordingly against Wilaskis,Rock Crabs and Dagganoths on each floor.

 

 

 

Once you reach the floor with the Rock Lobsters stop, wait for everyone to catch up and build up your run energy by hiding behind the ladder where the rock lobsters can't reach you.

Now your energy is built up, your ready to run in, turn on mage pray as you will be running into a huge pile of Walaskis as your running south you will see the ladder, this is the most important ladder because below this is, you guessed it The Dagganoth Kings

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Battle Time.

 

 

 

You have entered the Dagganoth King's Lair, you must act fast as all three bosses will be spawned.

 

The First kill - This is the part for killing the Kings while they are all spawned when you first enter.

 

 

 

Mage - The First kill is different than the rest because you are not set up yet, when you go down the ladder the mage MUST attack Rex right away , still prayng magic luring him to the South-East corner safe spot.

 

 

 

Range/Melee - Pray mage right away and Dragon Halberd special Dagganoth supreme,the reason you are praying mage while killing supreme on the first kill is because prime is spawned. Then run into the pink area shown on the mini map below pull out your range gear and range Dagganoth Prime.

 

 

 

Well done you have killed the 3 Kings while they are all spawned now it's time to set up.

 

 

 

From now on until you are out of food/Pray potions you go by the Instructions below.

 

 

 

Mager(s) - Lures rex into the south-east corner (marked brown on the mini map below) keeping him away from the Rangers\Meleers.Once you kill rex just wait for him to spawn and mage him again and keep repeating.

 

 

 

Rangers/Meleer(s) - Will range prime always praying magic in the shown pink area below, when prime dies you run over with RANGE protect on to Supreme (Red Dot on Mini Map Below) Meleeing him until he dies when he dies switch back to magic prayer pull out range and wait for prime to spawn in the pink area.

 

 

 

*NOTE* Supreme dies quickly against Dragon Halberd specs and is also good for guthans healing.

 

*NOTE* Supreme will NOT attack rangers while they kill Prime if they stay in the Pink area shown on the mini map. if they leave this area it could be disasterous.

VERY IMPORTANT - Never at any time run over near the mage killing rex this is disaster and COULD cause everyone to die.

 

 

 

Once you are low on food or prayer potions be sure to tele and not risk anything, and inform your team-mates so they don't die to un-attended Dagganoth Kings.

why put more pics of getting there than actually doing it?

Did you really need to say that? I don't see any need for you to take a random shot like that at him.

And a side-note:

 

Recommended Stats for a mage at Dagganoths.

I would shoot 6 bullets in my head before I EVER go down there with a Mage whos Magic level is under 75. Just say they should have 75-80+ Mage, and recomend Slayer dart. I'm also not really a fan of your suggested Mage inventory. I bring a super defense like you, have 74 defense (which isn't exactly that far off 80), bring Torag armor, compared to your Rune (also bad Idea, Rune armor has the worst Mage attack bonus in the game) but I still prefer to have more a few more sharks, or maybe an equal amount, to Prayer pots. Those rangers hit pretty hard ya know :? .

 

 

 

Love you Dragon Halberd suggestion though; it'd be pretty useful against em 8) .

 

 

 

Btw, I do prefer Odd's guide over this. His goes in depth much more, and his data and suggestions tend to agree with me. Your guide on the other hand, seems a little short for such a dangerous place. And-

why put more pics of getting there than actually doing it?

I think two guides are better than one. :P Seriously, though one person can't think of every single possibilty. Once there are guides posted every week then it becomes a problem. Pretty decent guide and I think that you guys are misunderstanding him. He is saying that his guide is seperate from Odd's and totally unrelated therefore they can't be compared... I think two guides are better than one. :P Seriously, though one person can't think of every single possibilty. Once there are guides posted every week then it becomes a problem. Pretty decent guide and I think that you guys are misunderstanding him. He is saying that his guide is seperate from Odd's and totally unrelated therefore they can't be compared... I didn't make this guide to "compete" with Oddfaery, I had this planned before Iknew he even had a guide, lol.

Meh, I guess it's...ok...

 

 

 

It seems to me, more of a preamp to the actual dagonoth dawn. It can be difficult to reach the kings if you are a lower combat level than oddfaery's suggested which you covered nicely. Unfortunatly, the Dagganoth kings are typically unprofitable for players with little or no combat experience in such situations.

 

 

 

Similar situations being:

 

 

 

Kalphite queen combat, solo and duo.

 

 

 

Dagganoth killing

 

 

 

Fight caves experience

 

 

 

Metal dragon slaying

 

 

 

Due to the difficulty of fighting the kings I would have to agree that oddfaery's guide would be much more useful as it accuratly covers the details of killing the Dagganoth Kings.

 

 

 

At least you finished a guide that you had started. It shows character...or something. :?

One very important piece thats missing both in your guide and that of Oddfaery is the map of all the intermediate dungeons that you pass through on the way to the Dag Kings. I had made a trip there on the last day of my members and got lost in there ending up in a room with a bunch of dagannoth spawns fighting with some strange character and no way out other than the one that got me in there.

Adding the 2 guides together would make a great guide.
