kingbd
I found casting stun a superior way to get 99 magic. You'll need a mud staff, some soul runes, alot of -magic attack, and there you go. +1 I saw a guy casting it in heroes guild with mud staff and full rune and he had 100k souls
Green_Screen
I don't know...I think that the mage arena is best because it is considerably cheap and can't you buy more cosmics with the points you get from the enchant room or do you need points from other rooms as well? But i am pretty sure that that is the cheapest way to get there. You could either save money by counting on the cosmics you buy or get money back at the end by selling the cosmics you get. Rebdragon
I plan to split mine up between alching (yew longs atm, mage longs soonish), killing monsters, and maybe some more enchanting to get that Mage book. Get the Mage's Book ASAP :P (I got mine the week it came out :D ). The experience there is awesome (went from 79 to 81 Mage at the MTA), the +15 Mage stats are completely unrivaled, and its extremely fashionable for any good Mage. 87 mage enchant at the arena, all you need is lava staff and some cosmics :) Hellz ya, its extremely cheap (IMO, less then 2gp per 1exp), and you can get like 100k exp an hour. Personally I prefer a variety when training Magic, so it doesn't get boring. So I do: Barrows- 3k+exp a trip, Metal Dragons- insane, easy exp, though I've used 15k chaos there and only got junk  , Enchant Arena (or Mage Arena in general)-good experience, and the gear is sweet, Alching- Fast and free, but it gets boring. Not one of my fav choices, especially after almost commiting suicide after alching from 82 to 85, Castle Wars- Get on a crowded world, bring a few thousand bursts (Barrows is a good way to get these runes for free), and let the fun begin  . [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series. KiLLuFoFrEE
personally i think the best way to train mage exp is to cast stun with mud staff and lots of soul runes.. just put ont he most magic decreasing armor as possible and autocast on anything also ice burst at bandits is pretty sickk "Ive always tried to kill the greatest man alive, but then I finally realize that suicide is not the answer" QsBillabong
stanford
Hm...high alching is decent experience. I also hear that teleother camelot is hellava good way to get exp though it's expensive. Ice burst at the bandit camp is fast exp (You get hp exp too :D ) Failing stuns is good, but pricey...mud stuff :( Lvl 87 magic you can cast enchant lvl 5 which is unparallel magic exp for the money needed. koddo
Get all the people in World 2 into the Fight Caves, then cast Barrage on all of them. You'll get 99 in less then a day. You're welcome.
Risen_The
Fastest Expensive- Ice Barrage on a planned group of friends in Castle Wars. This is I think the fastest possible. But you need hundreds of Mills pretty much lol. Castle Wars only give 1/4th of the exp you'd normally get. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=525348 - My Pking Gallery I'M BACK FOR SUMMER BABY
kdb148
It all depends on whether you value speed or cost. Ice burst at pest control, or even smoke/shadow/blood barrage when you get the level will be the fastest, but will be EXTREMELY expensive. If cheap is what you're looking for, then alchemists playground and enchanting at the mage training arena are the best. Check out this cool browser gladiator game! hazardmaster
Try failing Crumble Undead spells with black dhide/Karils on underneath the Magic Guild with a Slayer Staff? Good AFK too. Castle Wars? gives 1/4th of the XP? Okay...never kenw that. A way to level Magic IF YOU'RE RICH AND LOVE CW (most people are the 2nd one) is Ice Burst in Castle Wars. Soma2035
I know the fastest way.... 200k+ an hour in xp, but it's EXTREMELY expensive. My friend got 94 mage from like 85 in a weekend. you say you know some fast way to get exp, yet you don't say it I smell a liar  Recruit an army of alchers to cast high alchemy in the mage training arena. Sell them new nature runes for 20 each. You deposit for 40 xp per nat. If you have 30 alchers, each doing 200 alchs an hour, that's 200 x 40 x 30 xp per hour, that's 240k xp PER HOUR. It's expensive. But it works. I didn't post it earlier cause I was on a school computer and my teacher kicked me off. Want to learn to Nex? The Nex Hunters are recruiting! Click for more information! Lobby2004
i went from 85 - 98 at steel drags casting magic dart, i cudnt tell you how much i spent on runes and pots but i easily profited from dragon drops and clues. 98-99 im just camping at barrows not too much bothered about what exp im getting but my runes are being replaced and im making a massive amount of money from items and chaos and bloods. hope i helped. r2-pleasent
The best Magic Experience is, like people said before, Ice Burst at Bandits. For it to be effective, however, you need to buy not only the expensive Runes, but also Prayer Pots, since you're in Multi-Combat. Other than that though, it takes basically no clicking at all, and also levels your HP up pretty quick. Great way to level up Mage.
kdb148
That's why I like pest control better - you don't have to worry about getting hit, because if you die, you just run back to where you were and keep ice bursting without losing anything. Plus, if you are inclined, you could use your commendation points on another skill, like prayer, and level more than just magic. Check out this cool browser gladiator game! scruffman
i would actually LOVE to do steels, but i'm horribly unlucky and i know i would spend like 25k deaths and get like 1 rune mace, and like 1000 rne javes

Yep I'm pretty sure, you get the normal exp for casting, but the damage delt exp converts to̢̮̣ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¡Ã¬1/4th of exp. If not, why bother bursting at that boring bandits? :P http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=525348 - My Pking Gallery I'M BACK FOR SUMMER BABY

Last summer I bursted 85-88 magic in Castle Wars and it was the same experience I would get anywhere else ;) Granted, it was nearly a year ago, but I doubt this changed. Regardless, bursting is ridiculously expensive. I had a friend go from 97-99 magic off bursting at bandits and it cost him over 140M and around 100 prayer potions to keep Protect From Melee on the whole time ;)
I_Mahatma_I
I used Charge for lvl 92-99 magic, and at around 3mil exp per hour it was the best. It was expensive cost me like 100-150mil gp but that wasn't a problem because I was making 20mil gp per day at the time staking. As for current methods, I like using Ice Blitz (my new account can't do Barrage yet) at the Pest Control. Never gets boring. Oh and if you don't know what Charge used to be like you can watch my old vid: http://media.putfile.com/I_Mahatma_I-Ch ... -Runescape Proud co-leader of the Mayhem Makers, Runescape's best pure pking clanCombat 97 - Str 99 - Att 93 - Hits 97 - Pray 52 - Ranged 95 - Magic 99I Mahatma I - Thanks Misterxman for the great sig

bornl337
i have 2 lvl 99 magic accounts and a lvl 89 mage on my main i got it with maging steel/iron dragons kinda slow, around 40k to 50k exp per hour, but it was very easy to afk it well not really afk but you can do hw/ write essay while doing it while all the other methods other than bandits, you really have to pay attention and be active to get exp all you need to do at metals are drink a dose of antifire every 5-6 mins while it autocasts while getting your money back from the dragon drops which i've gotten 17 legs and 13 skirts took me about 3 months to get from 1 to 99 mage then started staking but my prayer was a bit high so i wanted a pure account then on my pure staker, i bought all my mage exp went from 1 mage to 99 mage in 6 days the first day i just went around raising magic with spells on monsters til around 30 something and it went too slow i gathered tons of people to help me in the alching arena every hour people could get around 20k gp from the alching arena and traded me 20k which was 40k exp when i traded them in. they got some mage exp and 1k nats anyways i gave them 1k nats per 20k gp in the alching arena so it costs 300k gp for 40k mage experience and with more workers its possible to get millions of exp a day so to get 13,000,000 exp to 99 mage 13,000,000/40,000 = 325 trades x 300k worth of nats per trade = 97.5m which was funded for by my first account  so i had an extremly low cb lvl with 99 mage high 40's or low 50's i forgot. i went right into training after, but training starting with lvl 1's got boring fast and i could not do desert treasure so i went back to training and staking on my main, and now i dont play anymore =\ but that is a pretty good way to go if you have the funds
