Best Book I've Ever Read

Featured Replies

Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. I loved the nonstop action, the high IQ, the mystery, and the setting. The whole book was amazing, I'd highly recommend it.

I have a friend who read a Russian book, it's in Russian, so I don't know its title. But he said, if you can read Russian, it's highly recommended, and he said it's, in his opinion, the best book in the world. I've heard that Russian authors are some of the best.

I'll try to get a name, maybe there's an English version printed somewhere.

"I think for me its Asimov's "Foundation" series (all of them) and I still think that some day someone will come up with a bunch of "formula's" that can predict mass behaviour."

Finally someone else who has heard of them...

Also Lord of the Rings definetly and Dragonflight.

I read the whole Dragonriders of Pern series and I liked it until they discovered AVIS (I thnk that's what it was called). It took on too much of a sci-fi and much less of a fantasy genre after that. Don't get me worng, I like both, but they shouldn't mix in the smae book in my opinion.

At the moment I love reading Tom Clancy books, and autobiographies. One of the best i've read was John Peel's.

When I was young I really loved reading. I read a lot of Christopher Pike scifi, and there was one book with a silver colour that was incredibly profound and moving, but I haven't been able to find it since.

EDIT: Just found the name of the book, The Tachyon Web

"Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"

WOuld have to be... hmm... either the Hobbit, Inkheart, and this other book I read which I cannot remember the name to.

Both were amazing books, I think you know what the Hobbit was like, and Inkheat was amazing. The other book I read... probably the BEST twist in the plot came at the end. NEVER have I read a better plot twist... oh what was that name? Darnit!

Its about this guy who starts getting letters in the mail telling him to do things (and he happens tio be in one of the very poor areas of a city). He ends up stopping rape, putting a gun to someones head, helping a friend cope with the fact that his childhood girlfriend is pregant because of him... theres more but I forgot. VERY good book, and I still cantr remember that darn name!

Those are 12 great books taking the Christian end of the world and making a compelling story about it, 12 books, starting from the rapture till jesus comes back.

Right now I would have to say 'Moving On,' by Kate Cann. I'm not much into literature though, so I don't read much.

The first is called "The Blue Nowhere" by Jeffery Deaver. Best book i've read, good story to it, and an awesome twist to it at the end. I'll post the description about it from his site, because i'm not the best at describing things, I always go into too much detail. [quote name=" http://www.jefferydeaver.com/Novels_/Th ... where.html "]When a sadistic hacker, code-named Phate, sets his sights on Silicon Valley, his victims never know what hit them. He infiltrates their computers, invades their lives, and lures them to their deaths. To Phate, each murder is like a big, challenging computer hack: every time he succeeds, he must challenge himself anew̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ã

The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde has to be my all-time favorite. Sadly, that is the only novel Wilde wrote in his lifetime, but he does have several plays and poems which are similar in structure of Dorian Gray. I recommend this to anyone, it's really a quick read and it is written beautifully.

Excellent choice!

The Worthing Saga by Orson Scott Card is probably my favorite book. It's just a great book. There are a lot of other good books by Orson Scott Card but this one was definitely my favorite.
