Mordgar
Many of the greatest players on Runescape have spent their entire RS playing life looking to even get a glimpse of the man who brought us this game. Most have failed. Once when I was around lvl 16 I saw a guy in north Falador who was named Andrew. Well I thought, Sheesh! what a stupid name for an account. So I told him hi and he answered back. At the time I had no idea who he was but we chatted for like a couple of minutes, and he gave me 10k. Nice of him don't you think? That's what I thought, but after a while it dissapeared right out of my inventory. Kinda funny.
Silentsurf
That's quite a strage occurence... I imagine "ANdrew is a very common name... so only the first players could get a perfect Name like Andrew... Well, it must have been Leprechaun gold... Mordgar
Well I don't know about that. I think he was like lvl 212. I don't remember if he had a crown or not though. But his name was definetly Andrew.

That sounds impossible. Even mods can only have 99 in each stat maximum, and thus have a max combat level of 126. bflitny1
Guys, it's just a typo when he says 212, it must have been 122. Think before flaming him. And to be honest, I don't think most rs goes round hoping to see Andrew, for starters he's not even on the high scores any more, unless there's another way of spelling Andrew. Well, since your stats are just numbers in a secure Jagex file, and since Jagex has complete control over that file... They could certainly modify their own stats to be any number that would fit into that data type. If the combat level formula just computes Attack*0.325 + Strength*0.325 +... as your level, then Jagex could give themselves almost any level that they wanted. I real screenshot would be neat to see though...

mario_sunny
Hi there, So what's been going on behind the scenes at the Jagex offices? Well, after last week's big quest update, I thought I'd go on line to see how everyone was getting on with the Biohazard Quest. Being the honest chap that I am, I decided to use my real in-game character, and not one of those souped up mod things. Now, perhaps it was a little foolhardy of me to venture onto the member's server with a combat level of 3. But nothing could have prepared me for the reception that I would receive. I almost drowned in a sea of "lols" and "noobs". And no-one seemed to believe that I was in fact the "Paul Eyres" that I claimed to be! Oh well - guess I'll just have to get killing some chickens... souped-up mods? I knew it! Mods have unlimited raw materials! :P By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .
pedestrian01
Back in RSC I talked to Andrew a couple of times. I also met Paul and moderator aka Rab. I remember when Dragon Slayer just came out Paul was there helping people out by trading them the maze key since there were hundreds of people waiting to talk to oziach (Only one person could talk to a npc at a time then.) ixfd64
Also, I don't think Jagex mods are supposed to give away free stuff like that. As for combat levels, I'v heard they can make their temporary level very high (ie: 999999/99 strength). I don't know about their permanent level, though.
