tintmangbpack
This is a good measure of what mini-games are useful. But I think the main reason of the mini-games is not good training, but a way to have fun while playing. While the game may not be the fastest way to do things, they sure are more enjoyable than other things. Your true character is what you are like when you believe there are no repercussions. bobby1167
shades are no longer hard to access from the new city..., i think you forgot the ghost robes miniquest, and not sure if you can count as a minigame (because it has the luck factor as well as shades) the zogre bones picking. Thats a mini-Quest,not minigame. All Quests completed99 Thieving achieved on January 10th, 200899 Defense achieved on August 3rd, 200885 Slayer achieved on July 31st, 20086 Dragon boot drops, 14 Whip drops
ghostman
I enjoy playing mini games like Pest Control and Castle Wars just to stop the constant cycle of questing and doing the same thing over and over again. But, the rewards could be a lot better. Currently P2P. I don't want the world to see me, 'cause I don't think that they'd understand. rft
well i think that the Tears of guthix is not just useful for a low skill. My lowest is 61 rc, and I am thankful for the ~6k xp that I get each week. I think that you underestimate it hugely in your thread. Also, the brimhaven arena is very slow for xp, but I find it a lot more fun to do than the courses, where you are just running round in circles all the time. Also, the goutweed minigame is pretty difficult to do - I found it incredibly frustrating when I was doing Eadgar's Ruse minigame. Overall, nice thread Best Barrows Chest: guth skirt, dh helm, dh axe, racks, gp (23/08/06); best tt reward: robin, guthix helm, guthix legs, nats, rune legs
Unitedite
Mage arena gives god cape. Indeed. The God spells might not be used as much as they used to be, but i rarely go anywhere without my God cape In a little hilltop village they gambled for my clothesI bargained for salvation and they gave me a lethal doseI offered up my innocence, I got repaid with scorn"Come in'', she said, "I'll give you shelter from the storm"
RcS89
I hate the way you've disregarded anything without a reward as pointless... Castlewars is fun, even if you are on the losing team. The games room is fun, even if you gain nothing... Surely we all play Runescape because it's fun?

Most people do play for fun, but there the idiot scammers, hackers and autoers who play to ruin the game for everyone else, I agree that castlewars is fun, but it's hard to get anyone to play at the games room! darkblade986
Blast Furnace Work as a team to keep the furnace going and gain experience whilst doing so. This needs a team and not easily accessed. It would be a lot better if there was no half coal usage at all (you still need 4 coals to make a rune bar). This would be a lot successful if it was located in an active area, say Falador, so that all those wandering noobs coming into Falador will try out the blast furnace jobs for fun. EDIT: Apparently you can actualy solo the blast furnace so maybe this isn't such a bad minigame after all. This makes it very effective at getting money. I'd just bring 300-400k worth of money, and keep buying out the store. It rarely goes empty, and the bank isn't too far away. I'd make Steel Bars, bank them, and go to Port Phasmatys to smelt them into Cannonballs. don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?Officially reached 100 Combat at 1:33PM EST, June 14, 2007First Dragon Drop: Dragon Chain (Dust Devils) @ 10:48PM EST, July 14, 2008, lv113 combat

kwimbob
Gnome Ball A favourite game of the Gnomes. Join in and you may win a gnome ball! Fun, but with a hint of boredom. It is fun if your playing with another player. The only reward is a gnome ball which you can take with you everywhere. Gnomeballs outside the game are a funny item, heheh. Mage Arena Prove yourself worthy in the Mage Arena and Kolodion, the master of battle magic, may teach you some powerful spells. Since the popularity of the Ancient magicks, the God spells are becoming less poplular. This is only for a feeling of accomplishment now. The god cape is also really good for the magic def and how it comes back free after death. Rogue Trader Help Ali Morrisane unlock his magic chests in order to receive discounted runes. The reward isn't that good, a few clothes, and some runes that you still have to buy. It's a waste of time actualy. Would be a lot better if you could do the sudoku puzzle and get FREE runes instead. Don't forget that those runes are actually pretty cheap, with a constant, non-increasing price. It's good if you find good worlds. Temple Trekking Can you defend a villager through the perils of Morytania? IMO the rewards aren't that great and those exp books are uncommon. Not worth the trouble to do it. Actually the rewards in the Knowledge Base are wrong. There are much higher rewards, for example 666 pure rune essence. Good rewards like this do make the game a pretty decent one. Fight Arena There are many areas in RuneScape where players can fight each other. One of the places where players can face each other in combat is the Duel Arena North-East of Al Kharid. This may be for an agreed stake, or just for fun. Very popular to players that like to stake for money/items and fight face-to-face with other players. Fun duels are also a good product of this game. Also controlled duels (such as finding your max hit with Dharok and such) are possible here. Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well. And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. It is one of the best ways to train agility, which makes this a good minigame. Its not one of the best ways to train agility, but it is one of the funnest ways to train agility and you can make money off of the pirate hook The Fishing Trawler Can you and your friends help Murphy? If you can he will give you a share of the catch. One of the first minigames and yet still good. You get fish as rewards (if successful) and help out and play with your friends. Add that it is the only way in the game to get a Manta Ray and Sea Turtle Mage Arena Prove yourself worthy in the Mage Arena and Kolodion, the master of battle magic, may teach you some powerful spells. Since the popularity of the Ancient magicks, the God spells are becoming less poplular. This is only for a feeling of accomplishment now. Thats false. God Spells are still used because Ancient Magicks don't come with teleother. Ranging Mini Game Score points and receive reward tickets which can be exchanged for useful ranging items in this simple mini game. Not that good, fun if your bored. EDIT: Apparently good range exp while doing the minigame, plus no hp exp. Also its good for those "Fight Caves pures" who want to get lava cape at exceedingly low levels Rogue Trader Help Ali Morrisane unlock his magic chests in order to receive discounted runes. The reward isn't that good, a few clothes, and some runes that you still have to buy. It's a waste of time actualy. Would be a lot better if you could do the sudoku puzzle and get FREE runes instead. Are you kidding me? After the quest you can buy Nature Runes for 225 each, 85 gp cheaper than market prices. Thats amazing. Shades of Mort'ton Earn Prayer and Firemaking experience whilst cremating the Shades of Mort'ton. Difficult to access and do, but the rewards inside the chests are fairly good.
