i swear. my parents swear. my siblings swear. everyone i know swears. i have no issues with swearing, be it in RS, or the real world. So if Jagex wants to allow swearing to enter their game and corrupt the little children, then by all means allow the swearing.

 

 

 

But, and here's where I don't care that it's Jagex's game, because the people who make the laws should not be above the laws themselves, otherwise justice systems don't work, if Jagex wants to allow swearing, they have to allow everyone to swear, and if they want to ban people for swearing, then they better not be swearing themselves, cuz that's not a good example for the young, impressionable children that they're trying to protect from the evil vices of the word. /endrunonsentence

No, it is fair. There are far to many immature RS players that would use the words in arguements or to hurt another. Jagex uses them against no person, and it is somewhat comedic.

 

 

 

No it's hypocritical. If Jagex tells us that we can't swear, for any reason, then they should be the role model and not do it either.

nah, who cares about this Jagex using profanity discussion, it's their game and they can decide for themselves. If we can't tolerate / parents can't tolerate their kids playing a game with profanity words that come up very very rarely, then it's our own fault.

amen, but you know that killing is illegal(O RLY?), still cops MAY kill in some situations, and normal people too (to protect themselves) but still, thats like you may not fart, still i may just because i made this rule when jagex uses the @$$ word... hmmm dont gimme a warning because of using @$$, its still in a picture in this topic...

It isn't really that bad. The game is targeted for people 13+ years old. They've semi-sworn in other quests (Underground Pass, Between a Rock), so I'm not all that surprised. I also agree with purepure's statement.

Jagex are british.. words like "ass" and "crap" are allowed to be aired on day time television and radio, so i don't see why they can't be used in the game like this. Also using the word "piss" in that manor is not really considered profanity in England.

There is no problem I think. 'Kick a-word' is commonly used, even the noobish 8-year olds use it I guess. But we have it censored so noobs wouldn't swear.

the A word isn't profanity. Don't be so sensitive. In real life, people say much worse things all the time. I thought the quest was fun and phrases like that make this game funner.
