Almost the exact same thing happened to me while I was in a grocery store.

 

I was minding my own business, when a couple of girls came up to me and shouted "hey sexy!!"

 

but it was meant to be in a sarcastic way.

 

I felt embarrassed and I looked down at my shirt and jeans which were perfectly fine. So I thought, what is their problem?

 

It didn't stop there... The same people bumped into me at the checkout counter, again they called "hey there's my sexy boyfriend!" and laughed at me.

 

 

 

Now what in the world drives people to play mean tricks on innocent bystanders? I thought about saying a few choice words back at them, but I kept my mouth shut.

I was so taken aback I didn't get a chance to get a comeback in there and I ended up just laughing at her (because she was one of the most fake girls in the school (makeup overload etc.))

 

 

 

So yeah don't take everything you hear to heart and learn to shout something back a them once they said the 2nd thing :wink:

Girls do that randomly. Who knows what they think of you - girls just like to yell random things to make their friends laugh. Don't take it personally. I'm sure that even as we type, all of them are secretly dreaming of your hotness. :)

well, its really not about being 'hot' or anything... from personal experience. not to brag, but many girls consider me 'hot'. i would never go out with them though, because thats all they preety much care about. however there are many who have a 'deep' personality. those are the ones that make good girlfriends, the ones that actually like people not because they look good, but because they're nice, fun(ny), friendly etc. (usually the girls that are you are good friends with first). if they overdo makeup, and put on clothes that make them half naked, its safe to assume they only care about your looks, and theres no point caring about what they say, because there not girlfriend material anyway.

Don't let complete strangers crush your self esteem like that. Just have confidence in the way you look. That was a terrible thing for those girls to do, and they make me ashamed to be a female as well. But, don't lose faith in us. :( We're not all stuck up and evil like those were.

i was walking with my m8s to the cinema, and a group of girls on the other side of the pavement shout hey sexy!!!!!!! all of us looked round to them, and a couple of my m8s said to me.."oo playa"(saying that im good with girls and stuff).. i felt kinda 8-) and :D , wen they walked on and distance was made, we heard another girl shout YOUR NOT SEXY YOUR UGLY!! :cry: and all of them laughed... im not too sure if they were talking to me, but they might have been seeing as i there was only 3 of us :cry: and its been really bugging me... pfft.gif have any of u guys/ girls had experiences like this about ugliness and how did u dealr with them? does looks really matter? :-s :-s

Zoltr, I imagine that this might have been something that's been bugging you. I can see a couple ways to interpret what happened.

 

 

 

1. The girl thought you were good-looking but didn't want to be direct so they came off as really sarcastic-sounding or rude. That happens. When I want to compliment someone, I try to say something that doesn't sound cheesy or fake like "Hey baby, looking good!" But then again, not everyone does.

 

 

 

2. The girl is just being a hole in one. I'm sorry, but that happens too.

Honestly, every young person goes through a stage where they look awkward, feel awkward, or other young people put you down so that they feel better about themselves. There was this one guy who used to make fun of my appearance several times a week and I seriously thought I was doomed to be ugly forever. As puberty drew to a close, well I can't show pictures but I've been told that I'm attractive/hot/pretty by a number of people. So yeah, don't fret, I'm sure you're perfectly alright.

I'll admit, i'm not the most attractive guy (Lanky, long neck and nose [my friends call me an eagle]), but women seem to like me. I've had plenty of girlfriends (and hook-ups :-w ). I say it's mainly personality, and a little/minor part on looks. Of course looks are first impressions, but getting to know someone is different. I'm funny, and fun to be around (unless I get pissed off). Anywho, don't worry about it too much. Just be a fun person [unless you're a stick in the mud, I can't help ya.] and make people smile even on a cloudy day. Girls do funny things to entertain themselves sometimes, don't take it too seriously.

you should atleast take care of yourself... shower, brush teeth, do your hair just a little bit, dress appropriate, and most of all be a fun, talkative, and laid back guy. Girls tend to like that...
