I hear so many stories about getting scammed and sort of things, some people also tried to scamm me, i hear bad stories about this.

 

 

 

But now i saw something happen, and if i should not say anything of it, the victim would have died, and the scammer would have taken its stuff. ( full addy, it was a lvl 41 ) but when i was low lvl I also felt bad when i should have lost my addy..

 

 

 

This was what happened:

 

 

 

I got a slayer task: kill 140+ trolls, so i teled to games room, and walked to the death plateau, then, near the injured soldier, sitting on the ground, i saw 2 players. 1 in full rune, 1 in full addy..

 

 

 

then the guy in full rune said to the guy in full addy: just walk north of here, its the shortest way..

 

 

 

When he said that, i directly knew what he meant, he wanted that full addy guy to walk north, and then he would pass some trolls who throw rocks to him, and of course, a lvl 41 has no prayer, so he would have died by those trolls, and then the rune guy would have taken his stuff he dropped..

 

 

 

so i warned that guy that he should not pass there unless he has a death wish.

 

of course, that other guy still tried to get that guy there, but he didnt do it anymore..

 

 

 

so that means, that i have stopped a scammer and protected somebody so he didnt lost his stuff..

 

 

 

 

 

have you also stopped a scammer/lurer once? or something else what has to do with it??

 

It was quiet funny to see how a scammer fails..

bad speculation of someone being lvl 41 and no prayer, a lvl 41 could have 99 prayer and we wouldnt know it...

 

 

 

plus, it wont hurt too much if u run past them(i doubt youd die as a lvl 41 until u reach the lvl 100+ guards)

Earlier today I saw a level 72 try to buy a pair of rune boots from a level 14 for 1k (not too sure how he got them, I believe he said something about the wilderness). I'm afraid to say I didn't say much (by the time I figured out what was going on, a level 84 had already intervened), but I did back up the guy that told him the real price.

 

 

 

The worst part was the level 72's insistence that the guy who was telling him the turh was lying, and his teliing him to shut up. In the end the level 14 left to check a price guide, and the level 72 revealed a tremendous secret.. His main was n0valyfe and he could own the level 84 noob. It was pretty funny.

 

 

 

Unfortunately, I didn't think to send an abuse report, or tell the level 14 to send one.

I saved people from scams many times, mostly it were things similar to the example, getting them to talk to an ogre enclave or fighting the poisonous lizards in slayer dungeon.

 

The funny thing is that those idiot scammers always try to scam the low newbies, which frop nothing but mith or addy :P

yesterday a guy was walking around Varrock West saying 'Selling bad wine a great merchanting item'. I immediately knew he was lying as i got 50-55 cooking through wine as f2p. So I followed him round announcing that it was basically a scam. I just hop I wasted 10 minutes saving someone and not just being amused at his replies.

I see the Wine trick often while grabbing Zammy wines.

 

Low lvls take it so they get attacked.

 

I always warn them, but 99 % still takes the Wine, they always have to run.

 

Tbh, I don't help them then. I warned them first.

 

I do help them while I just entered and some guy gets attacked.

Well i know all about scammers and tricks i player like almost every mmorpg and i know how ppl scammed...i was once scammed for rune full helm guy gived 100k and i rune full helm he accepted i ask whats wrong with u? and he jkust accept but when i accepted he sowmhow manage tot ake 90k back so when we were at next accept or declined i sow 10.000 coins i mean wtf? than i declined and he log out...

Good job, i feel bad for some players that don't know the prices of most things...

1 time i saw someone who said a fez was a new "santa" he wanted 10 mil for it, i said fez is worth 12 gp and they said YOU RUINED IT!!!!so i saved a guy 10 mil =D>

I'm level 118. I doubt if I ran through with addy and no prayer I'd have more than a quarter of my hp left...

Absolutely true. First time I went up there, I was about level 60 on full rune and almost died, got really really lucky, survived on about 2 or 3 hps.

 

 

 

Those throwers are that bad... they throw really fast and there's lots of them.

well when u say stopped a lurer i did manage to grab the lure and tele lol does that count?

alot of ppl dont listen very well when i go to f2p for friends i see the triming armor scam all the time i warn them it's a scam but they do it anyway even as a newb i was never that stupid some guy came up 2 me saying armor triming and i gave him something i dont want just cux i needed the free space in my bank

lol, this is off topic but its funny, so i see this guy trying to scam this other guy in full black d'hide with whip at edgeville doing the drop an item in wildy scam, he dropped 2 rune plates and 3 mystic tops, one at a time. each and everytime i telegrabbed them, on the thrid time the scammer thought he would scam me aswell so he dropped it in deep wildy. i walk up and all i see is the lurer getting killed by a pker...lol it was so funny at first but you wont find it funny now. its better if you experience these stuff XD

I always top the noobs who try the two person bank scam. Someone is selling something at one end of a bank, and someone is buying it at the other end for more than they are selling. It's always hilarious when I yell out they are trying to scam people, and then go and tell the person I am going to report them, and they always say "Noob", and immediatly log out.

Instead of full veracs, no helm and two skirts. I don't know if you can still trade that spear thing from slayer, but people switch that with guthans spear.
