Though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in God, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic. Agnostics don't believe it is possible to prove the existence of God (nor lack thereof). Agnosticism is a philosophy that God's existence cannot be proven. Some say it is possible to be agnostic and follow a religion; however, one cannot be a devout believer if he or she does not truly believe. ... :XD: yeah right, bum off you higher beings \ Which Final Fantasy Character Are You?Final Fantasy Currently Listening To ~ Hotel California / The Eagles
August 5, 200619 yr Satanism 96% atheism 88% agnosticism 67% Islam 63% Buddhism 54% Paganism 42% Christianity 38% Judaism 33% Hinduism 8% Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Satanism! Before you scream, do a bit of research on it. To be a Satanist, you don't actually have to believe in Satan. Satanism generally focuses upon the spiritual advancement of the self, rather than upon submission to a deity or a set of moral codes. Do some research if you immediately think of the satanic cult stereotype. Your beliefs may also resemble those of earth-based religions such as paganism. this was my first go, answerd all the questions genuinely www.PETAkillsanimals.com
August 5, 200619 yr atheism 83% Satanism 71% agnosticism 58% Paganism 54% Islam 46% Judaism 42% Buddhism 33% Hinduism 13% Christianity 8% Didn't really surprise me. I totally agree that I'm somewhere between satanism and atheism and I'm far away ffrom christian. Yet, I hate the meaning of atheism. Just because I don't believe in god(s), it doesn't mean I don't believe in anything. All gods and prophets are made by human mind, but it doesn't mean that you shouldn't believe. I just don't agree on the idea that every (ok, vast majority) or religions want people to be "made from the same wood". In Christianity you gotta be noble, care about others and so on. In satanism you are your own god. In Islam Allah is your god and you gotta show it. I personally am what I am and not what something or someone else wants me to be. If you ask me, every religion has a lot of good points, but far too many bad things. A world without religions would be a better world. I'd rather die for what I believe in than live for anything else.Name Removed by Administrator ~Turtlefemm
August 5, 200619 yr Let's see here. For one thing, you would have to be omniscient (God) in order to make the claim that there is no hell. Since you're not God, I see no reason for you to make the claim or even be able to support it. That works the other way around though; you'd have to be omniscient or have been there to claim that there is a hell - other than that it's just hearsay. I could also say that the burden of proof was upon you as you're claiming something which is not true prima facie. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.

Since God is omniscient and cannot lie, I guess my position is much more well-founded than yours is. By the way, if you had done any research on the ocean, then you would understand why 2/3 of our world is made up of salt water. I don't see why you're trying to make fun of God for making the ocean... I'm currently transitioning from a Wizard to a Mage and a Priest to an Archpriest. Lol both are nonexistant in the top 25. Hopefully I can change that. :D
August 5, 200619 yr Not quite. You see, I'm taking God's word for it. Since God is omniscient and cannot lie, I guess my position is much more well-founded than yours is. Not true - I was told this by Batman. Ergo mine is equally well-founded. You are using circular reasoning therefore your position is not well-founded at all. The Batcave exists. Batman told me this. I don't see why you're trying to make fun of God for making the ocean... I'm not; if you had basic comprehension skills you'd realise I'm making fun of anyone who thinks the earth was constructed for them. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.
August 5, 200619 yr Just playing the devils advocate here... The ocean is a very good food source for people. Not true - I was told this by Batman. Ergo mine is equally well-founded. That is one hell of a point  Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!
August 5, 200619 yr There's no need to play devil's advocate, it's just a hundred year old quote that I found funny. It isn't by me. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.
August 5, 200619 yr Woops, my secret is out  This quiz is pretty much spot on though, the description is almost exactly like something I would write about myself. Nice find. Well, I won't disagree with you because you're right. However, that was just in this particular instance. I have other proof for Christianity that was not brought up in this conversation. I don't see why you're trying to make fun of God for making the ocean... I'm not; if you had basic comprehension skills you'd realise I'm making fun of anyone who thinks the earth was constructed for them. Hmm...every religion and cult in the world. That's impressive. I'm currently transitioning from a Wizard to a Mage and a Priest to an Archpriest. Lol both are nonexistant in the top 25. Hopefully I can change that. :D
August 5, 200619 yr That's pretty ignorant, there are plenty of religions which don't believe earth was created for man. Buddhism for example. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.
August 5, 200619 yr That's pretty ignorant, there are plenty of religions which don't believe earth was created for man. Buddhism for example. Wow, you're so smart! You're correct again. But I can't think of any besides Buddhism that are like that...Satanism, maybe? Still, I would say that the high majority of them believe the Earth was created. It is only a handful that are the other way around. I'm currently transitioning from a Wizard to a Mage and a Priest to an Archpriest. Lol both are nonexistant in the top 25. Hopefully I can change that. :D
August 5, 200619 yr Still, I would say that the high majority of them believe the Earth was created. Are you naturally thick or are you just trying really hard? I didn't say it was making fun of those who thought the earth was created, it was making fun of those who thought the earth was created for them. What does the notion of the earth just being created have to do with the quote in my signature? It only applies to those who think it was created for them - an inherently narcissistic view. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.

To prove aliens exist, you just have to find one alien. To prove aliens do not exist, then you have to go through every molecule of the universe and show that there is no alien there. Proving a negative is much harder than proving a positive.
August 5, 200619 yr That's true, but it makes little difference; you still can't prove it is there - that's why it's a faith. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.

August 6, 200619 yr There's no need to play devil's advocate, it's just a hundred year old quote that I found funny. It isn't by me. Devil's Dictionary, I presume? Good book. :P I very much agree with the spirit of the quote, too. I took the test earlier, so I can't copy-paste my scores, but I'm pretty sure it was something like 96% Christian, 56% Jew, 50% Buddhist. "In so far as I am Man I am the chief of creatures. In so far as I am a man I am the chief of sinners." - G.K. Chesterton
August 6, 200619 yr The Batcave exists. Batman told me this. I know this is kind of off topic... but I recently went on vacation in Mexico and went snorkeling in a cave called the Bat Cave :D Didn't see any bats though :P Everybody hug and spread the love :D
