July 31, 200619 yr I just stumbled across an old post of Lionheart that contained a link to a religion quiz. Just answer the 54 questions and see what religion fits best with you :) Here it is! http://quizfarm.com/test.php?q_id=10907 Question n̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâð14 (The world would be so much better if there were no religion) kept me thinking; most people that know me a bit here would think I answered 'completely agree', but, although I strongly believe religion is the cause of a lot of wars, it is also the main source of hope. So I answered 'rather disagree'. And without religion, whether it's believing in a God or more Gods, or believing in some kind of unexplainable power, there's no hope. (beautiful, isn't it?) Same for q n̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâð27; another religion-bashing dilemma. I didn't answer agree or disagree; religion can be a good set of rules that people can try to follow, but it can also cause power, and power will always be abused somehow. My score: You scored as Paganism. Your beliefs are most closely aligned with those of paganism, Wicca, or a similar earth-based religion. You may also follow a Native American religion. Paganism 83% Islam 83% agnosticism 71% Buddhism 58% atheism 54% Hinduism 50% Satanism 46% Judaism 38% Christianity 29% I'm shocked that Christianity is last. The questions weren't really made to score well on it either; questions like 'God is manifested in the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.' are of course ridiculous. I completely disagree with that and thus I score bad on Christianity. It also amazes me Christianity and Islam lie so far from eachother; they're based on the same ideology... But IMO Christianity is not about believing what the bible says; it's about caring for eachother and respecting one another. That's as far as it goes for me; I don't believe in a physical God either (duh). Bill Hicks[/url]":dhj2kan9]Since the one thing we can say about fundamental matter is, that it is vibrating. July 31, 200619 yr  Becuase of me? wtf? Basicly the same as before: You scored as atheism. You are... an atheist, though you probably already knew this. Also, you probably have several people praying daily for your soul. Instead of simply being "nonreligious," atheists strongly believe in the lack of existence of a higher being, or God. atheism 88% agnosticism 75% Satanism 71% Paganism 54% Buddhism 50% Judaism 42% Christianity 33% Islam 17% Hinduism 8% Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! July 31, 200619 yr You scored as Buddhism. Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Buddhism. Do more research on Buddhism and possibly consider becoming Buddhist, if you are not already. In Buddhism, there are Four Noble Truths: (1) Life is suffering. (2) All suffering is caused by ignorance of the nature of reality and the craving, attachment, and grasping that result from such ignorance. (3) Suffering can be ended by overcoming ignorance and attachment. (4) The path to the suppression of suffering is the Noble Eightfold Path, which consists of right views, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right-mindedness, and right contemplation. These eight are usually divided into three categories that base the Buddhist faith: morality, wisdom, and samadhi, or concentration. In Buddhism, there is no hierarchy, nor caste system; the Buddha taught that one's spiritual worth is not based on birth. July 31, 200619 yr You are an agnostic. Though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in God, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic. Agnostics don't believe it is possible to prove the existence of God (nor lack thereof). Agnosticism is a philosophy that God's existence cannot be proven. Some say it is possible to be agnostic and follow a religion; however, one cannot be a devout believer if he or she does not truly believe. agnosticism 100% Paganism 96% Islam 92% Satanism 83% Buddhism 71% atheism 58% Judaism 50% Hinduism 25% Christianity 21%

July 31, 200619 yr You scored as Judaism. Your views are closest to those of Judaism. If you are not a Jew, do more reasearch on Judaism and possibly consider becoming one; however, realize that conversion to Judaism is difficult. Judaism was the first of the Abrahamic faiths; it precedes both Christianity and Islam. Judaism - 71% Islam - 67% Buddhism - 63% Christianity - 63% Satanism - 54% (Eh??! Stanism is in my top five?!) Agnosticism - 54% Paganism - 50% Hinduism - 42% Atheism - 21% Although Judaism was my highest, I don't plan on conversion. I'm sticking with Christianity. I don't attend church regularly but I fully believe in God and life after death.

July 31, 200619 yr Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Satanism! Before you scream, do a bit of research on it. To be a Satanist, you don't actually have to believe in Satan. Satanism generally focuses upon the spiritual advancement of the self, rather than upon submission to a deity or a set of moral codes. Do some research if you immediately think of the satanic cult stereotype. Your beliefs may also resemble those of earth-based religions such as paganism. Satanism : 100% atheism : 88% Judaism : 63% Paganism : 63% Islam : 50% Buddhism : 50% Christianity : 33% Hinduism : 25% agnosticism : 21% Interesting. I usually consider myself a strong atheist spiritually, and a strong Jew culturally. If people ask my religion, I tend to say I'm Jewish, because it's very important to me. Then again, I don't believe anyone should follow a system of morality other than that which suits them; I'm terribly hedonist and really do trust only myself. In that sense I guess Satanism rather fits me, too :D A Jewish Satanist. Huh. Better not tell that to Mel Gibson ;) Everybody hug and spread the love :D

I don't understand how you scored so high on atheism but so low on agnosticism. :s Me: agnosticism 83% Satanism 83% Islam 79% atheism 63% Buddhism 63% Judaism 58% Paganism54% Hinduism 38% Christianity 25% I figured my huge slant against Christianity since I answered with a pretty big Jewish influence would give me a higher jewish percentage since I am a jew, but I guess it was so low because on most issues about self rules I think people shouldn't have restraints, although personally I don't eat ham on the whole kosher thing. I gotta look more into this Satanism thing though, it seems interesting. Edit: I pretty much agree with philisophical satanism (as opposed to religious satanism). Largely considered to have been unofficially founded by Anton Szandor LaVey, with his creation of the Church of Satan (the first above-ground organization to use the term), Philosophical Satanism views one's self as the subjective centre of the universe, and the highest aspirations and virtues are those which seek the elevation and improvement of the individual Satanist over others. Philosophical Satanists generally do not recognize a theological deity or a metaphysical afterlife, though this is not to say that one must not. To the Philosophical Satanist, a person is his own god. He disdains rationalist, secular humanistic beliefs, seeing them as abhoring the existence of the supernatural, only to thereby promote a sterile life grounded in the 'real world' alone and sees them as working towards the altruistic advancement of his fellow man while neglecting due attendance to one's own gratification and fulfillment. Obviously, philosophically Satanic thought has had a long history before LaVey's Church. Though it was the notion of Satan as the conceited, self-seeking black sheep, acting falsely of his true position which inspired the title in spite of Judeo-Christian theology, which views Satan as evil because of these qualities.
July 31, 200619 yr The last time I took a religion quiz like this, it told me that I was open to all religions. I really am anti-religious though, I don't understand why these people hop on the bandwagon, and then let it control how they live their lives. I am an Atheist, and I take pride in it.
July 31, 200619 yr I don't understand why these people hop on the bandwagon, and then let it control how they live their lives. That's exactly why I believe in God. I mean why not? Everyone else does. By the way, I took the quiz then exited out by accident... :( I'm not taking it again. Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.
July 31, 200619 yr i'm takin the quiz right now, and i am extremely unsure on a lot of the questions. a lot of them assume the existence of god or jesus, but i'm buddist and i've never really thought about these scenarios. i'm just not sure if i should put disagree, or just... middle edit: here are my results You scored as agnosticism. You are an agnostic. Though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in God, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic. I hope you're being sarcastic. I do feel for the people who just believe what their parents believe then are discriminated for it. I my-self don't have a religion. I'm still really not sure what to believe in at the moment, which is why I'm anti-religious. When I do find out what I will believe in, it will be more of a "belief" some-thing that I just believe about how we got here etc. Nothing that I will commit my life to. I really am anti-religious though, I don't understand why these people hop on the bandwagon, and then let it control how they live their lives. That's a good point. Any takers on how I scored? You scored as Christianity. Your views are most similar to those of Christianity. Do more research on Christianity and possibly consider being baptized and accepting Jesus, if you aren't already Christian. Christianity is the second of the Abrahamic faiths; it follows Judaism and is followed by Islam. It differs in its belief of Jesus, as not a prophet nor historical figure, but as God in human form. The Holy Trinity is the concept that God takes three forms: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost (sometimes called Holy Spirit). Jesus taught the idea of instead of seeking revenge, one should love his or her neighbors and enemies. Christians believe that Jesus died on the cross to save humankind and forgive people's sins. July 31, 200619 yr If this isn't funny, I don't know what is: You scored as Islam. Your beliefs are most similar to those of Islam. Do more research on Islam and possibly consider taking the shahadah and officially becoming a Muslim, if you aren't already. Despite the actions of some - who go against the teachings of Islam - Islam is a religion of peace; the word "islam" means "peace through submission to God." "Muslim" means "one who submits to God." Islam is the third of the three Abrahamic faiths, and it shares much with Judaism in Christianity; its differences are the acceptance of Muhammad as the last and final prophet, and the oneness of God - in other words, that Jesus, though he was a revered prophet, was not in fact God, and only one God exists. Apparently the Taliban could not read (though their name means "students"), because the Qur'an states that men and women are equal as believers, and that all believers should be educated and seek knowledge. Modesty in dress and behavior is required in Islam for both men and women to preserve the values of society and move the emphasis from superificial appearance to intelligence, knowledge, and God. July 31, 200619 yr Ha, that is pretty funny Shadow. What bugs me about how people respond to these polls is that they don't pick them based on their real thoughts often. In my case I would have a conflict in many answers because I'm jewish, and there's a set guideline for all religions in how to answer. The thing is I've developed my own opinions separate from religion. I chose to take the poll based on those. A lot of people don't - and get really high turnouts in certain areas because of that.

I don't understand how you scored so high on atheism but so low on agnosticism. :s I guess the whole "unsureness" thing just kind of bothers me. People like to be all wishy washy about "Well... I don't really KNOOOOWWW..." but that doesn't matter. When you really think about it, deep down, what do you just believe? I can't prove there's no God, but it's just a belief I've always had. So *shrug* :D I'm just sure of myself, and believe in my own opinions, and don't care about what the "true" "right" answer out there is. Everybody hug and spread the love :D
