Lode
In 2005 I was member for a few months. I've gotten many mazes and genies then, random events which give good rewards. After that I was f2p for a year. During that whole year, I've seen 1 or 2 genies and no maze at all. Only drunken dwarfs and mysterious men. Now, I'm p2p again. I've only been p2p for two weeks so far and I've gotten 2 mazes, 3 genies, an evil bob, and many of those teleport events that give a law rune back. So, yes they're random, but is the chance for GOOD events a bit more in favor for members? Have you experienced this? transcript80
Well....If you are a member you have an increased chance of getting one of the good ones, because there are more sorts of randoms anyway. And what do you call a good random? I think we all agree the drunken dwarf is anoying, and so is the sandwich lady, but a MoM dropping by a gem from his mystery cube is quite good to me too! And in the 2 years of playing (1 year F2P, 1 year P2P) I NEVER got a maze or a mime or quiz! I got evil Bob once, boy was that annoying. I didn't really know what to do, spent allmost half an hour on his island... That should eleminate macroers! Other data was removed when acoount got hacked... Kalliel
I only ever get MOM with gifts, boxes, swarms and sandwich ladies. I got full zombie after around about 6 weeks of solid killing hill giants in F2P(10k+ bones buried for it) i rarely get events that i want, i really would like full camo, full mime, and the lederhosen hat
rft
how lucky are you getting 2 mimes and 3 genies!!?? I have only ever had one mime since i started playing. I keep getting pinball, sandwich lady, and the one where you get camo. I havent really noticed any difference between p2p and f2p though, but I haven't been f2p for a while now. Lode
Wow first people are complaining about to many randoms, now people are complaining about lack of randoms... People can never be satisfied i guess... Depends on what event it is. Genies: let them come!! Mazes: great reward! Evil bob: xp reward! MoM: usually annoying, unless it's ruby or diamond or cosmic tally Dwarf: almost always useless and annoying Sandwith lady: DIE!!!! The weird bee stuff at flax: very annoying (I had the event and thought "let's press the middle button to see what happens" bam! got stung by bees and teleported) Runescape: Lodev (Combat level been fixed at 101 for years now, Total level 1500+, playing since march 2002)Arenascape: Lode (Level 240+ Warlock)
speedofsound
I almost never get events, never had a drill seargent, after 2 years of playing only 3 genies, once a maze and never a mime, almost no tree spirits and barley every any trolls. I almost never get random events. You can't ever find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "(bleep) you" right under your nose. Try it sometime. I think, even, if I ever die, and they stick me in a cemetery, and I have a tombstone and all, it'll say "Holden Caulfield" on it, and then what year I was born and what year I died, and then right under that it'll say "(bleep) you." NScombat
I just dropped full zombie due to lack of bank space. Kilana
The difference is probably just how long you let your play session go for. Since there are so many things to do on p2p, you likely spent more time in game... thus got more events. F2p has much fewer things to do, so you'd get bored and log off. On p2p, I remember getting tons of events while doing that rune sudokan minigame... each puzzle took like 10-20 min without me realizing it, and after just about every one a random event would pop up... but you won't see me standing around for 10-20 min consistently on a free world. Lode
I just dropped full zombie due to lack of bank space. I don't want to be forced to decide with mime or drill  I dropped the full zombie after I got the two emotes, because you need to have it to get the emotes. I also got a piece of lederhosen and dropped it immediatly. Even in p2p, I have bankspace shortage! All these clothing pieces are bad for bankspace :o Runescape: Lodev (Combat level been fixed at 101 for years now, Total level 1500+, playing since march 2002)Arenascape: Lode (Level 240+ Warlock)

The one's that can't count and the ones that can. Which one are you?
blakdragon39
Well, we do pay, don't we? I think that you just got lucky at the right time anyways :P Plus... Evil Bob is NOT a good event :P Its annoying, and happens at the most random of times when your doing ANYTHING... and it seems very fishing based to me. But whatev. I think your imagining things. celebelian
I think it has something to do with what you're actually doing... p2p people have more choices, and thus tend to do more hard-core training. I get 4-5 randoms every time i go for a hardcore wcing spree... record is 13 in 4 hours : I hardly ever get randoms rcing, since it's mostly walking around. Basically, my theory: training more = more randoms. EDIT: In support for my theory, I just got a genie mining =), got Rick terpentine about a half hour ago also. imaerehw14
I guess i got more MOM, drunken dwarfs, and sandwhich ladies in f2p, but i dont notice a big difference in p2p. although, i have had only 2 mimes before (both only giving an emote) with my whole rs career of a year and 2 months. i am hoping for a mime top and some camo legs soon to finish of my outfit that i am creating, or vise versa. fishing and cooking 6k monkfish, here i come!! meb
I don't see any difference, I've only had 1 lederhosen, no mime or camo or maze. And the lederhosen was in F2P. Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks. celebelian
Ok... lets see if I can remember mine: I've had: 1 lederhosen (picking flax) 1 Mime (wcing) Full zombie, both emotes +2 more, i think that's 7 (mostly slayer) A lot of genies, (mostly wcing and fishing) 1 camo (slayer) 1 evil bob (fishing) lots of others too (MoMs, rick terpentine, niles, sandwich lady , etc.) All mine are p2p, I switched to p2p before there were randoms, so my f2p experience was understandably random-free. scott638
well if the random events were better on members..i think runescape would tell u about that because this would bring in more reasons to buy members..
