August 7, 200619 yr Nono, I'm not talking about your peach fuzz or your beards. I'm talking your underarms. Today while playing tennis with my friend, I noticed something different. Though I wasn't able to put my finger on it, I noticed all the same. Then while he was serving, I got it! He had shaved his underarms. So during the odd game break, I just asked him why. He responded, aerodynamics. But then he said he was kidding. Seriously, he said it was more comfortable and plus it feels "cleaner". So tonight, I was about to take a shower and I noticed I had forgotten to put up my shaving cream. As I was reaching to the shelf, I though, why not give it a shot. So I shaved my underarms. Now, 30 minutes later, I guess they feel "cleaner" and more comfortable, but I really don't notice it that much. I guess my question to y'all is, have you ever shaved your underarms, if so, why? and your opinion on it.

August 7, 200619 yr I did a couple times when I was just getting some and I was in denial. :lol: I really, really didn't like the idea of body hair. The second I got hair under my arms, I imagined myself being a hairy-backed-monkey-man and I have NO idea why. THAT gene doesn't run in my family. :lol: The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past. - Me!
August 7, 200619 yr Well swimmers shave their entire body for the same reason. Apparently it helps to reduce drag so he's not entirely wrong. My armpit hair has never bothered me or anyone else. It's not distracting so there's no reason for me to get rid of it. I know the price. I pay it gladly.

August 7, 200619 yr Some people shave their underarm hair because they think it will mean less bacteria collects there (and therefore you won't smell so much). I don't think this has been proved to be true though, so i just leave mine as it is. Kirk and Lars I could handle. At the same time.
