yes recently these forums have been cabbagey, it'll probably improve again eventually but until some major events happen in game to create topics of discussion it's all a little samey.

I can clearly see your attitude is really helping this forum. :roll: And if you're not browsing this forum anymore then I do wonder why I still see you post on every single thread that is ever created about this subject - which aren't that many.

 

 

 

Sadly I do have to agree that the amount of interesting topics on tip.it hasn't been very high lately though...

I to used to post in scapeboard. When rs2 came out we had alot of jerks joining the game (rs2 products) i'm not saying there weren't any in rsc but there were alot less. I suppose the same thing is kind of happening here. I wouldn't be suprised if this topic is locked though.

I'm an rs2 product and honestly I have alot of good friends who are also rs2 products which I prefer WAY over the bitter ' RSC veteran' (yeah of a game) I'd rather a stupid question about the game than 200k+ threads about the good ol' days and how you guys are so much better than us for playing a game longer. :-w

I'd say that sort of attitude is more of a problem than people asking stupid questions.

 

 

 

 

 

I do agree the questions are repetitive but that's just a function of an increased membership on the boards. It also reflects a change in the make-up of the people playing RS, there are a lot of younger people playing now who are less inclined to find things out for themselves.

 

 

 

As I see it the purpose of these boards is to provide a forum for discussion and assistance regardless of the level of the player.

 

 

 

There are still plenty of interesting topics on the boards you just have to take the time to find them. Also remember that what interests you now may not necessarily be what interested you back then, everyone in prone to rose tinited nostalgia. Furthermore the game has not expanded that quickly therefore there is not that much more to be discussed and when you reach the sort of level you (@Gamerr) have, there are not that many people at your level with whom you can discuss features of the game which you are able to access.

 

 

 

Sure there's a lot of stupid stuff and hero worship on the forums but there are still a lot of good people here too.

Ya I know there are not a ton of good topics to read, so why not make one up yourself, so people like you can actually discuss something and read something good. Trust me, the reason I dont make topics is because of lack of anything good to discuss or fear of flamage. I am on the same page as you buddy.

The more new players that come into Runescape, the more questions that are going to be asked here and looking for a quick answer. I do find it annoying that noob posters keep posting in the p2p forum for answers and trying to sell items because of the more people browsing on that forum even though they know very well that there are other forums for thier needs.

They're are many topics which get repeated but the best thing to do with them is just avoid them. We do get a lot of newer players coming in mainly because when you search google for 'Runescape' we appear 3rd 1 below the runescape site itself and miniclip :o

I agree with the topicstarter. I get annoyed quite a lot by the "noobs" the inhabit this forum. Luckily there are a lot of good people too, people with brains, and that's the thing that makes me visit these forums.

 

And, heck. It sure beats the RS official forums, man that's a craphole.

I don't see what can be gained by this topic. Sure there are a lot of horrible posts on this board, but there are also quite a few gems. For example, look on 'newbs say the funniest things'. This post is merely a discussion on what people find funny about RuneScape. It doesn't try to slander noobs, it relates encounters. Other posts on the other hand...

 

 

 

Personally though, i like to search through the posts till i find one i think is worth talking about. Bad posts i just ignore, and they will eventually dissapear among the other posts at the bottom of the page. I actually prefer the RuneScape suggestion board, as there are MANY wonderful ideas there. (amid the ruins of 'RANGE IS UNDERPOWERED')

 

 

 

And the Rants forum... I feel sorry for what some of those Mods have to deal with. Anyway, i don't see your point in coming here and telling us that our forums suck. It seems to me that this is another post that is contributing to that overall degeneration of the forums.

I did NEVER wanted to "boost up my ego" or other things that make me look better. It was just a hidden message to all of you to post a little less things.

 

I don't feel better at all than other people who started later, i'm even ashamed sometimes. I feel sometimes stupid. I'm combat 108 with 1650 skill total, and i've spend more than 5 years to get it. Basicly i wasted 4 of them, because others can get it in a year. So i want to get it rid once and for all, i don't have anything against them.

 

 

 

I got misunderstood, and i didn't wanted to harm anybody.

 

I will take my responsibility and leave tip it, i'll only post on topics from friends.

If you wany high quality posts and an intelligent conversation come to the games board *cough*. The best place for sensible discussion is off-topic forums, slightly less 9 years old post there than in the Runescape sections. Not that anyone who posts in RS sections are immature just that is where all the immature people seem to end up posting.

No he isn't stuckup he has experienced both games, he is more knowledgable than you "rs2 products" who have only experienced that shallow version of runescape. He like me enjoyed the good old days, they may be long gone now but that doesn't mean he should'nt be respected. You guys here at tipit, one guy gets a thought "all rsc players are stuckup" and everyone goes with it, whatever happened to original thought?

In otherwords, there are some (keyword is "some;" not "all" or "most" but "some") people who are acting like sheep or turkeys. If it rains and one looks up, they all look up. :wall: #-o

 

 

 

In this case, I'm willing to blame time. As the game continues on to achieve popularity, you're dealing with people who have simply no idea what it was like on RuneScape Classic. You tell them about it and they think it's a completely different game and not the pre-evolved version of the RuneScape of today. People are discovering things that seem amazing to them while for the older ones it may seem bland, nothing spectacular. Sure, those of us who were around at the time woke up when certain players achieved goals for the first time, but after that we settle right back into the "that's nothing new" mode.

 

 

 

All I can say is we're just gonna have to deal with it. We're all getting "older" and more "younger" players are coming into the game discovering these "new" things and post about it. Note the quotation marks. It gets tiresome for those who have been in the RuneScape community for a long time to see post after post after post about Zezima (no offense) or about how long someone's played.
