My Goodbyes

IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m not too big on quitting/leaving posts. For the most part, they are an attempt to glorify oneÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s self and leave some sort of lasting legacy before someone leaves. I find them annoying. It took me a while to figure out where the heck to post this... it just seems lame to clutter up the boards.

 

 

 

However, knowing IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve been distant lately, I couldnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t bear the thought of leaving some dear friends behind without letting them know why, and a chance to say goodbye. Far too often friends of my own have left suddenly, leaving others and myself wondering whyÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ and how theyÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re doing.

 

 

 

With that said, IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m not really leaving, quitting, retiring or whatever else. LifeÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s only getting busier for me and the time I spend here is going to get smaller and smaller. I just wanted a chance to say goodbye.

 

 

 

The idea of online friends is a strange one to me. You never actually meet them and rarely see them, but I consider the friends I have made here to be every bit of a friend as anyone IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve met in real life. You all have meant a lot to me and I have only recently come to realize this. So yeah, here I am at 2am writing spontaneously, straight from the heart. I really hope I donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t miss anyone. :P In no particular order, just those who come to mind:

 

 

 

Insane: You are probably the best friend IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve made here. The fact that we are from the same city is pure coincidence imo. If I was from China and only spoke Mandarin,we would have still made great friends.

 

I think youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re one of the greatest people IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve ever met. Strong willed, almost stubbornÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ your faith in God has always made me feel good...which is very particular to me as I have never had any sort of divine faith in my life. I guess itÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s the fact that someone as smart as you has so much faith, makes me feel safe in whatever afterlife there is.

 

I really hope we stay in touch.

 

 

 

Adam: YouÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve been a good friend and I have always appreciated you listening to me vent about the TET and whatever else, often adding some great vents of your own. YouÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve done great work in the crew and the tet and youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re just an awesome guy with a good head on your shoulders. I remember when I told you I was having a daughter and will still be leading the tet and you asked me: ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâHow? DonÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t kids take up like, all your time?ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢. You obviously were more aware than I was. :P Thanks.

 

 

 

Lord_Haze: I love you. Very passionate, I never minded giving you stuff when you lost it all staking/pking/quitting for the hundredth time because I know you would do the same for me. YouÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re funny and a great guy to talk to. HavenÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t chatted with you in a long time, but the hockey season is coming up soon and I canÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t wait for the leafs to smoke the habs this season. :P

 

 

 

Topaz: You are by far the most creative mind I have ever met. You won, whatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ. Every tip.it rank contest you ever entered? That one costume thread you made with all the Disney characters in it simply BLEW MY MIND. Probably the most fun I ever had on Runescape was making that ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâMost extreme elimination challengeÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ thing with you way back. It was simply a blast brainstorming all the events and I am still astonished we pulled all of it off. :P

 

Almost equal to your creativity is your compassion. I had heard that when you found out I was having a kid you were really worried about me and I love you for that. You are simply a beautiful person and I never want you to forget it.

 

 

 

Punky: Though we have lost touch, I still value the friendship we had. I met you staking and I reckognized you from tipit. I have had many good memories with you (I still have the silk from the cracker I used on you) and IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m sorry again I got your 99 cooking prematurely. I still find that hilarious though.

 

Long chats on MSN are what I remember most. I miss you Punky, you were a really supportive friend and I always remember you sticking up for me when someone went after me. You were there to cheer me on a lot when I was staking too, which really was my backbone.

 

 

 

Sith: It has been a pleasure working with you. IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m pretty sure you nommed me for mod, and I thank you for it. YouÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve always respected my opinion when it came to tip.it stuff and youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re the mod/admin IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve always wanted to be. The tip.it forums would be a shell of what they are now if it wasnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t for you.

 

When it comes to the TET, I canÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t thank you enough for the time, effort and care you put in for us. You were always there to do a board description, go over ideas with, sticky a post, but more importantly you really cared for our success.

 

YouÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve also been a good friend and someone IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve always enjoyed chatting with. Thanks for everything

 

 

 

Oergg: I have always looked up to you. All the values I admire, you hold. Compassion, intelligence, integrity, intensity, honesty, witÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ you might just be the coolest person IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve ever met.

 

I admire the way you play the game. From cabbage picking to kbd slayingÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæyou do whatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s fun. Not to mention your leet style sense. Seriously, youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re costumes have always been the coolest. Runescape would be a better place if there were more oerggs.

 

 

 

Ravinasian: YouÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re a really neat guy Phil. Hilarious, IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve found my saying loling irl to you in irc a whole lot. ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâI r pantsÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ always makes me laugh. YouÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re very caring as well and I admire that.

 

I donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t know what I would have done in the TET without you.

 

 

 

Rba: I love your spontaneity and raw passion. While it seems to get you in trouble, as you donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t really think things through, I still love it. YouÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re always fun to chat with and I like talking sports with you. Just remember, Leafs>thrashers/pens, Jays>braves/pirates, Toronto>Atlanta/Pittsburgh. You can have basketball, lolars.

To the Tip.it staff, past and present: I really enjoyed my time in the staff and I admire everything you all do. Tip.itÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a great place because of the work you all do and you should be proud of that.

 

 

 

To the TET: My greatest regret here is not being able to give the TET the time and attention it deserves. IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m sorry for that, and I really wish I couldÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve given it my all. YouÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re a special group of people and there is certainly something to be said about someone who spends time making the game a little more fun rather than skilling or hoarding GP. Thanks for all the work you guys have done and I wish the current h1p the best of luck.

You were one of the key people who brought TET from a pipe dream, to a reality, and from a reality, to a staple of the Tip.it Community. I truly admire the work and dedication that you brought to TET. Too bad I was retired so long during your leadership duration, that I didn't get to work along side you more in the later days.

When i first came here you were one of the first names i saw. I found it a bit funny we shared the same name too. Even though we never really talked, you remained on my friendlist. Even after many deleting rampages, you managed to stay up at the top of the list. I remember when i used to have a couple of Tip It people on MSN, whenever one of those big conversations was made, someone would always say "Is this Nathaninch"? Just shows what a big name you were back then, too.

 

 

 

So, Nathan, have the best of fun in real life, and i can actually say that it was nice knowing you.

I must say that when i saw this post, a tear rolled from my eye, over my cheek and dripped from my chin, you're by far one of the most amazing people i have ever met Nathan, and i have always valued our conversations greatly, no matter what they've been about. I feel like lately we've lost touch, and that's my fault mostly, i seem to forget about good friends and just live in tip.it, and i can say that i time upon time regret it, seeing that people like you are the ones who make life worth living... I know that if i ever had a problem, i would be able to come to you and get advice and comfort, and i really hope that our friendship will last, even after i "quit" this place as well...

 

 

 

I wish you, and your family the best life can bring you, and i hope that you'll still drop by from time to time, even if it gets harder and harder... Have fun, stay cool & keep bringing that special joy into life which only you can, ok?
