Mamong
Ya, ghosts are annoying, you think you see an Ankou with your name on it and the ghost goes for you instead... :wall: Jagex must of made it better. When I first went there, I got nothing noticeable except the sceptre piece and a lvl 3 clue which is in the Kharazi Jungle and it pointless cos I haven't done Legends. :x [Tip.It Mod][Retired][Add your Steam name here!]
normanbiggs
no no theres a room with just ankous!! the room to the north of where you enter!
Maximiliank
Ankou are fantastic for drops, and the lvl 75s dont hit as frequently as the 86s... So far, I've got (in total) about 600 deaths, 400 bloods, 200 addy arrows, 40 laws and 12 left skull halves... (but no clue scrolls... :( ) Currently playing on War of Legends (Royal Gardens)
normanbiggs
Ive done a fair few runs and had 2 clues so its not that great a rate, but still beat the hell outta doing hellhounds! just wanted to share my find with you guys on here :) EDIT: dont forget your salve ammy if you have one! these guys are undead! dogfever
Guthan's along with a bit of p pots, absolutely owns these guys. Or bones to peaches. But in response to the original post, yes Ankou's rock, I trained down there for a while and have been telling absolutely everyone who asks that it is the place to train. The bloods and deaths are great (I suspect better without a ROW as well) and the note ess and mith ore is pretty good too. Plus it's a quick Glory tele and jog back from Edgy for your bank runs. chenw
So lets break it down how this is a good training: 1. Near to Bank (Edgy glory, a jog back.) 2. Easy to get to (just complete the easy stronghold) 3. Usually Deserted 4. Good hp (70 for 86's) 5. Excellent drops (so you actually get paid for XP, or it can cover the cost of barrow armor degrade) 6. Undead (Salve Ammy speeds training up) Now is there any reason NOT to train on them? Probably if they hit a bit hard because they are lv 80's after all. 6,924th to 30 hunting, 13,394th to 30 summoning, 52,993rd to 30 DivinationKiln Record (Post-EoC): W 25 - L 0, 14 Uncut Onyx, 8 Jad hits received (Best record: Two in the same kiln)Obby set renewed post update #2: 0QBD drops: 21 crossbow parts, 3 Visages, 1 Kites, 2 KitsMax Port Score [2205] Achieved: 27th April 2013 (World 2nd) Farmyard Rampage ranking: 12th, 50,000 Kills. bflitny1
Guthan's along with a bit of p pots, absolutely owns these guys. You said it!! There is no limit to what you can do with guthans and p pots down there, I went from 101 to 103 cb in there, it's amazing! Drops are good, but awful for non-members. And if you have guthans, the auto-attack goes off after about 20 mins, so the ghosts are no longer a problem, you can then range the ankous as well if you want. Drops: Barrows: 60+ DK: 4... Dragon: 60+ Whips: 2... GWD: 0...ouch!Main Goal: 2000 total with no 99's
normanbiggs
wow thanks for all the posts guys :) can't believe i only just found out about them! and i hope i've help a few people with a new training spot too! happy hunting!
dogfever
Just to note that there is also a group of level 75 ankou's to the northwest. They also have good drops and no ghosts.
Barihawk
I've been gone most of the summer. Where exactly are Ankous? And what quests do I need to have done to fight them? My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. Believe me, nothing except a battle lost can be half so melancholy as a battle won. -Sir Arthur Wellesley
dogfever
I've been gone most of the summer. Where exactly are Ankous? And what quests do I need to have done to fight them? There are three types: http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster=&orderby=&keywords=ankou&levels=All&race=0 You find them in the security stronghold: http://tip.it/runescape/?page=stronghold_security.htm It's easy to do the Security Stronghold. uk_dragon1
i have been training there for a while and it is totally awesome for the following reasons: 1) i started at 65 strength, and now have 69 2) i hardly ever see many people there, practically deserted compared to experiments 3) amazing drops. i would travel there with 20 odd lobbies at 65 hp, and would come back with around 80 bloods, 70 deaths, 50 odd pure ess, a few mith ores, and about 5 scepter pieces I realy do recomend it to any body over level 70 as the 76 ankou arent that tough if wearing decent armour. there are also safespots for hallying, maging and ranging. Try it!, you'll Love it! :P
koddo1
Oi, Barihawk, you missed the whole Security Stronghold. It's in Barbarian Village, it's 4 levels deep, f2p, lots of monsters, Ankous are on the 4th level. From it you can get boots at the end, and a sceptre. There are 4 pieces to the sceptre and the new monster on each level drops a different piece. I think that pretty much explains it.

My friend said ankous are good for range/mage training if you can find a good safespot. Pirate Rosetta stone. Learn a language while you scape.Sounds interesting, but these days how many people really speak Pirate?
fgfuyfyuiuy0
The Aknou also drop left-half of dragon sqaure shield! The 75's drop 'em too, and they're very easy. I <3 Gears of War 2. Add me on Xbox Live and mention you are from Tif :D
