I dunno its just part of RS i guess. As you get richer you wanna brag right?

If you dont brag it doesnt give lower lvls or poorer people to get better than you. Thus, RS will be left with the same high levels it has always had and not new ones.

People who says that are usually young, think they are cool or morons... I'm level 112 but i dont call other players noobs and tell them to get better stats. Besides, everyone has been a newb (if they haven't bought their accounts :roll: ) .

The "higher levels" have most likely just been playing the game alot longer, RuneScape doesn't really take any skill.. Anyone can get to level 126, it's just all about the time, so I don't really see what is wrong with being a lower leveled player.

And just to clarify again I'm not calling all high lvls and rich people mean....

It seems like a lot of people believe that the higher your level, the more mature/older you are. Meaning, a 12-year-old lvl-126 could be making fun of a 30-year-old lvl-3 :lol:

I'm more worried about the spelling, and grammar plague of RuneScape. I'm one of the few players that spells right and has good grammar!(Yay for me :mrgreen: ) I've actually influenced a few friend's :oops: .

Well, sometimes lower level people can get really annoying. Asking about things that are ovbious / easy to find out yourself. Tell them where to find the stuff they wanna know and they'll call you a noon for "not helping". Same thing with beggars, etc. But rich are arrogant high level charecter which are owned by young 10 year olds.

 

Also people who can't / wont spell and when i make a grammar mistake or don't know how to spell a word they just call me noob..

 

People were a lot friendlier back in rsc. There weren't many young high level players because the game was harder. But the trusty ignore list always works wonders. :)

Well, as true as that statement is, there does tend to be a strong correlation between being a higher lvl and being more mature (though with PC I bet it's starting to dissapear...).

 

 

 

It may be because it takes the persistence of an older, more mature person to get 120+, may be because it takes more intelligience in knowing how to get that level, or maybe higher levels who are somewhat immature at low lvls become more mature through experiences in the game.

 

 

 

I don't know exactly why it is, but high levels do in fact tend to be much more mature than lower levels. Don't get me wrong, many low levels are more mature than many high levels, but maturity tends to favor the higher levels side of the graph.

its no longer incredible to be over level 100. There are tens of thousands of people that are over level 100, and many of them are rude * (sorry for that). While you would think the opposite, many are scammers and lurers for reasons that i dont know, and it just makes me want to quit runescape. The ONLY good people are the people at tip.it. If you go to the main runescape forum, it is bedridden with tons of newbies and people who dont know jack about being nice or anything. I honestly can't trust anybody there. I was able to ask on tip.it if anyone would make my potions for me that i couldnt make, and i was able to trust them to take it, make it, and give it back without a trust trade. I would NEVER do that over the main forums, because most people are horrible people. Also whenever new updates come out, the majority of the people in the world are where the new update is (aluft gianni jr's place, or brimstails cave are examples). You can see for yourself there what runescape has become. People there yell at each other, refuse to help each other, call people noobs, etc. I asked one guy for some help on the recent quest and he just called me a noob and left. The only reason i still play rs is for the people at tip.it

I've made many many friends ingame who aren't a member of tif just so you know :roll:

 

 

 

And I go to new updates all the time and I help people but if anyone here was at world 9 for an hour after update time at the cave then they would have seen me helping explain how to use that machine. I explained it so many times and people weren't listening or just responded with 'wat' and considering it's quite alot of typing explaining about the colour values and shape sides also giving them an example, it starts to get really annoying so I may occasionally just tell everyone to shut the [bleep] up because after helping so much without so much as a thank you i'm not a happy person :wink:

 

 

 

And for the rest I agree with Reb, some high levels are arrogant yes but they're generally more mature than low levels. Plus us higher levels get so much crap you wouldn't understand until you are one. When your asked a billion times a day what your wearing or if you can help them or 'i buy u hat' or the classic 'lol u got no lyf xcoz u play rs all day lolalol' It just gets so..yeah I'm normally very helpfull and kind but sometimes I just can't be your hero and answer every little question you have.

i'm not an incredibly high level, only 101, but i still do find some lower level people surprised when i respond to them. if somebody says hi to me i will say hi back. i do not call people noobs. i have a few times, but that was before i realized it was completely pointless. if they annoy me i use public chat off/ignore button.

Yes, the high lvls can be rude and stuck up...but why do you think they have become this way? They've had to put up with noobs for a longer time than you have (probably). Their combat lvl also is like an unseen invitation for anyone to come up and ask them if they want to buy or sell anything. Before you start hating on people, think about the...stuff they have to put up with. The grass is not always greener...

I've played another mmo and I found the community was very similar to runescapes. The newer players were generally rude and selfish, and the more experienced players(or older ones in that matter) are more helpful and all around nice.

 

 

 

Maybe its not just runescape, but this generation of kids? I hope that isn't so.

Kids like that are everywhere, there's always that sterotypical thought that every low level is a noob in Runescape, and what's even funnier is when the lvl 70's ( no offense to any level 70's on these forums ) that think they're the BEST in Runescape, as in, they're so headstrong they call mods, high level players, and anyone basically, "fr00blets" and any other word that resembles "newb"

But yea, that kinda crap is all over Runescape, which is why I joined these forums in the first place, because exept for the accasion moron that is 8 years old and just joined, thinking they can do anything they want because their is no rules on here, the people here are nice, friendley, and for lack of a better word, " TEH PWN."
