August 22, 200619 yr I know that these days, people go for the games with better graphics, more requirements, etc. I find that some older text-based games are still fun to play. Has anyone heard of Trade Wars, or Merchant Empires? I used to run a Trade Wars server. Good times... :boohoo: Anyway, I play ZeldereX now. Post your favorite text-based games here, and why you like them. When you are learning, you are growing. If you stop learning, you stop growing. If you stop growing, you die. Train hard, eat fried chicken, and take a one-a-day. (And cook that broccoli 'til it's yella and pour cheese all over it)
August 23, 200619 yr I made one once, I was pretty fun to play. Text-based games are great, since you need an imagination to play and see around the rooms. There's no sig here. Move it along...

August 24, 200619 yr Is Kingdom of Loathing a text based game? If so, then I've played that for about 6 months. Still have no idea what I'm doing. SHH HUT YUH MUH. DERKHED.
August 24, 200619 yr I used to play UrbanDead, helped out the Molebank Citizen Volunteers defend their territory. It was rather fun. Then I was in a World of War clan, we kicked butt for a few sets before disbanding. Now I play Dark Throne, been saving up turns for months to power my way up through the levels. I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.
August 24, 200619 yr I use to play quite a few text bases games, they were very fun. Thinking back Trade Wars was one of them, (at least it was a space game where you fly around, trade, kill people ect)... It was all very complicated so I let my brother take over and he quickly dominated the server. In the other text based games, I played them, and got very strong and quickly become the dominate player in them all and brought all the best equipment, killed everything and everyone. I become king in one and threw the server admin in prison for a week (maybe a month) because he tried to kill me, but he abused his powers and threated to ban me unless I freed him and the others I arrested. Thinking back there was only around 3 or 4 people who played the games so my dominance in them was nothing amazing. I can not remember any of the names.
August 24, 200619 yr http://arenascape.net Just making a little publicity for Silvy's game here, it's the foundation of this entire site, so you guys better play it :) Of course, that one. I wouldn't be part of Tip.it if I haven't played that text game. They are others games I play, but 2 of them are already blocked {since someone dude advertised it at the wrong board and got the adress filtered.} One of them is Shinobilegends {based on Naruto}. -=Aznhuskarl=- Cleric-=20Cent=- JuggernaughtMore to come...
August 24, 200619 yr I've played Dragon Soldier and I'm not sure if it's still around now. But it was the ONLY online game that I was very good at, I was even a forum mod there, but that's when the game had a new version when it was becoming popular. I then left because I hated the new version of the game. That's when I also became a more serious at playing RuneScape. No longer playing Runescape, I caught the WoW bug.
August 24, 200619 yr My mom plays kings of chaos and she is ranked like 200 or something. Its kinda...weird. I myself dont really play text based games, although I did try kings of chaos for a very short time.

August 25, 200619 yr Is Kingdom of Loathing a text based game? If so, then I've played that for about 6 months. Still have no idea what I'm doing. There's pics in kingdom of loathing, therefore it's not text-based. You can click where you want to go, instead of typing "North", etc. There's no sig here. Move it along...
August 25, 200619 yr yes, I enjoy a text based game every now and then. I have played kings of chaos and arenascape as well as yapquest. Then there was cleft of dimensions (a text MUD) quite fun actually.
