Just a thought that would probably never get used...Wear the glory? :XD:

Good point, but at the time of writing this guide I was wearing my nature amulet to watch over my magic trees, so that wasn't an option. The only time you would actually need the glory is when you mis-click your mounted glory and end up in karamja instead of edgeville, so wearing it is no problem.

Haven't played RuneScape since 12 january 2007 and it feels great :)

Wouldn't using the Yanille technique be better...?

well to be honest most people know that you're gonna use a lot of money whilst lvl-ing so heres another method

Need-

1) a teleport portal to cammy in house OR rings of dueling

2) a house anywhere

3) house tele runes/tabs

basically get to house, make stuff use ring of dueling/portal to get out bank then tele back fast as hell =)

I'd say using a butler is cheaper then your method. You want to use laws for a portal AND every load of planks, while your butler only asks for payment every 6-8 requests.

I know there are a lot more methods out there that are faster if you are willing to spend more money. If you really had the money to spend you would use mahogany logs and your butler to turn them into planks and fetch them for you, probably getting 100k+ xp per hour if not way more. My guide is only intended for people that want to get construction and their skill total up without spending a crazy amount of money. Making oak planks is expensive enough, I offer a method to turn them into xp cheap and quite fast.

The Yanille method is a lot slower, since you need to run 3 screens to and from the bank. Also you are running with a full load, draining your run energy a lot faster and making you walk from time to time. If you would compare my method and the Yanille method you'll see that both have the house loading time every load of planks, my method has a tele to edge and lyre tele, Yanille method has a 3 screen walking distance back and forth. When I'm leveling I'll take the double tele over 3 screens walking every day and if you have enough lyres you can tele back and forth for a good hour before needing to recharge any.

Meh, I personally hate converting planks or buying them myself, so i'll probably stick to my butler method. However this does look very handy and tempting. Nice one =D>

Nice guide, the same thing can be done using tele to house if you dont have ring of charos. It's not worth it without.

450gp per tele. As opposed to 300gp per tele. Not much difference :\ but its something. But laws are easier to run for i guess.

The lryes are very useufl though =-) i have 54 and am very glad for them.

Nice.. wrote this after I got 71 construction of course =\

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

ooo, very good idea. To the lyre guide to learn how to make lyres efficiently!

Hmm good for saving money while powering I guess, I won't use it because I think it would be user just to spend the little extra money to pay the butler, but nice find!

Great guide! I wanted to praise you for the guide when i was 40 construction. I procrastinated until now, where I am currently at 62 con. That's 22 butler-less levels! I cannot imagine the money spent if i had engaged in the services of my butler then =). Yours is a truly 10/10 perfect guide!

I think you ought to compare butler speeds to lyre speeds.

only problem for me is that my kitchen quest hall and workshop are not close to each other and if I wanted them close to each other I would have to destroy my study (which I have put in 3 gold leafs for the furniture). Oh well.

70 construction using the cut oak logs at rimmington, then send my butler out to the sawmill method and I'm bloody sick of it. I will be trying this method when I decide to raise construction (funny though, I've never moved my house once).

I guess this also means I will be buying planks at the grand exchange now if only I had a decent way of making money.

I think it would be faster to use a house teletab instead of lyres. Just a suggestion, 8/10

As people said, inorder to make this guide complete you have to compare your method with the more popular, house tele method.

The only advantage i see in your method is that you have to deal with only 1 house loading time instead of 2 with house tele.

On the other hand, house tele is by far more easy to obtain then lyres.

Nice guide, although i prefer walking to Yanille bank and back (also cheap :P )

If i can get round to it i'll try your method oneday ::'
