Honestly people! Why is it that Jagex is making the Kbase? Because they want to stop people from scamming other players by going to PHONY websites! Jagex loves people having communities and groups about Runescape they just want to make sure people are not directed to fake or scam websites. If more of these gullible people look at the Kbase instead of saying "How I mine 4 phish?" and receive an answer of "Go to Scam SiteXYZ and type in your RS Username and Password and it'll give you all the secrets of the game" nice and good people can say "Go look at the Kbase" instead of risking the chance of being banned by saying "tip.it" and by telling them of the Kbase you're still helping them out and teaching them a valuable tool in RS. If people are looking for a RS community or fansite they'll look for a fansite on Google or their preferred search engine. If they're looking for quick and impersonal information they can go to the Kbase. Tip.it is still standing strong after years and years of being the best fansite. I think they can handle a data competition with Jagex.
August 31, 200619 yr I agree with Tefda. The Knowledge Base is just that - a collection of information where people can find answers to their Runescape questions. And while that may superficially be the same thing as Tip.It, the fact is that Tip.It is far more than the sum of its parts because of the community that it has given rise to. I dont think we'll be seeing any "Knowledge Base Events" happening any time soon, do you? Why is 'common sense' so named, when there is so little of it about?Welcome to puberty, we've been expecting you.

September 1, 200619 yr Wow, I hope with the graphic updates they're doing they add the sky and weather (not night and day because of timezones but it would be darker say in a storm than a sunny day :wink:).
