Made0f12une
Heres a picture I managed to find, it was taken April 24, 2004 To make this picture special I changed my shirt and legwear (cant be seen) to my old style. Im a bit iffy on the hair though. Green hair went out of style awhile ago. Anywho, most recent. Taken today (Septeber 12, 2006) As you can see RS has drasticly changed since 2004 and so have I. I almost cried when I saw how bad my stats were. Im proud of my improvments (even if they're not THAT good) I also beleive the first picture was taken in f2p. See how much noobs have crowded into RS. I didnt feel the need to hop to f2p for this occasion, I perfered the empty mine. ^^ClicK^^"I backed my car into a cop car the other dayWell he just drove off sometimes life's ok...Alright already we'll all float onAlright don't worry we'll all float on" - Isaac BrockDays Hunting:4 - Kingly Imps Caught:2Money Earned: 4.5-5m
igor_10
Hehe something cool to compare, but to the new RS players they should know that graphics isnt the most drastic change, but the xp and the skill training. RS2 players who complain the xp is slow have nothing to say if they never experience RSC haha. I remember... hmm a good training xp would be... 20k per hour. Ive seen people get over 100k an hours on RS2 and they werent even that strong :o. And cooking... I clicked like a nerd to get my 99 on RSC and on RS2 all you need to do is pick a batch full of raw food and it automatically cooks them all for you :P. It was alright... I still prefer RSC :)

For those who dont know, and think fishing is boring, you use to have to keep clicking the fishing spot if you wanted your fish ^^ClicK^^"I backed my car into a cop car the other dayWell he just drove off sometimes life's ok...Alright already we'll all float onAlright don't worry we'll all float on" - Isaac BrockDays Hunting:4 - Kingly Imps Caught:2Money Earned: 4.5-5m

Made0f12une
i thought that in classic the rock colour didn't change... or am i forgetting stuff? It did. Only when you mined the ore. It would turn gray. ^^ClicK^^"I backed my car into a cop car the other dayWell he just drove off sometimes life's ok...Alright already we'll all float onAlright don't worry we'll all float on" - Isaac BrockDays Hunting:4 - Kingly Imps Caught:2Money Earned: 4.5-5m

igor_10
I was thinking about how "easy" RS2 players get it hehe, but it is kind of true (not trying to imply anything here). Does anyone remember back in the day when Bluerose still played (before she quit for a long long time), and all we could use the bank for was coins? We couldnt, for example, mine 5000 ores, then smelt them at once, and then smith them. We would have to mine about 25 ores in Varrock, walk to Fally, smelt them, walk back to Varrock and smith them, if we could smith them. Can't imagine how Bluerose13x and some others were such high levels in those skills with all this burden hehe.
DarkSoul520
I played a little of RSC before it was changed to members only. I enjoyed it and acutally thought about playing it instead of Runescape 2, but alas, I can't do that now. The addiction level was still the same. :XD:
Pinkbullet3
I started RS after RS2 came out, but from reading all these topics about RSC, it seems as if most of the RSC players knew eachother very well because there weren't a lot of players. :-k Now at 150,000 players... ok. ^ Blog. WolfhunterXZ
Originally ore rocks were always gray and you had to just rapidly click them and hope to get your ore. Then they made it so you could see the color change when an ore was in it, but you still had to rapidly click it. Also, originally you couldn't see other people's combat level unless you were in the wild. Then they made it so you could (I remember that). Combat and levels were not easy to level, took forever. I remember my days in the summer sitting in the cooking guild making apple pies :) I miss RSC :( Anyhow. Nowadays it's alot easier to level anything, and alot less clicking. Wolfy is Officially Retired.I miss you all (Well, mostly my friends n stuff)If you want to talk to me, send me a message, I check the boards daily. :D

We did alot more "hanging" out then anyone does nowadays Originally ore rocks were always gray and you had to just rapidly click them and hope to get your ore. "You miss the rock" "The rock is too soft to mine" "Your pickaxe slips off the rock" "You recieve some ore!" Bahahahha. I loved the Dwarf in tutorial island "He somehow manages to produce a large pickaxe from his jacket. You didnt have to rapidly click once pickaxes came out. They'd hit the rock a certain number of times before you had to click again.

Chaos_Reborn
Yeah, Runescape has changed very much over the years, and the question is how will it look like in for example two years? Mining ores in RSC did have an advantage over modern mining, if you had 28 items in your inventory, could even be ores, you could still mine, and the ore would be dropped onto the ground automatically. So basically that means that powermining was much easier. Visit my Runescape comedy website, based on in-game screenshots.

It helped training ALOT but with the auto chop/fish/mine features and ores being dropped would make the game OUTRAGEOUSLY easy ^^ClicK^^"I backed my car into a cop car the other dayWell he just drove off sometimes life's ok...Alright already we'll all float onAlright don't worry we'll all float on" - Isaac BrockDays Hunting:4 - Kingly Imps Caught:2Money Earned: 4.5-5m
