Ending a nasty fight between clans

Hi, I'm here to aask or advice.

 

 

 

I'll explain the story.

 

 

 

Ok, my clan and another clan is having a very nasty fight for 6 months. There have been a lot of spying, backstabing, and maybe event crashing going on. And in a few days, we will be having a clan war. I seriously dont know how to solve this cuz I think a war will only make the case worse.

 

 

 

My question is how to deal with this kind of stuff? I need Dr.Phil...

In my opinion (I'm a leader in Lordbigchang's clan btw), it all started in the backstab (there were disputes before I was in clan, so I will not talk about that) where the other clan attacked us in the wild when he have signed an agreement to not to fight each other, an armistice as they call it. So basically it was a betrayal.

 

 

 

Now, the real problem started early this month. Because our forum's root threatened to delete the forums endlessly (long story regarding this, lets just say he was not the most popular person in the clan), we decide to switch the forums to get him off the position of power.

 

 

 

He refused to cooperate and joined the "other" clan and then is a war. Originally, we were the ones declaring war, but they were going to declare war on us in a few months, they are going to be mass training/recruiting and we held a stronger position atm, we declared war now.

 

 

 

And i'm sorry, but I think ignoring is going to be a problem. That former root admin of our forums seems bent on destroying us, well, we did treat him pretty badly one may say as everythiing about the forum switch was behind his back but the fact he constantly held a knife to the clan's throat means we have no choice.

 

 

 

And I agree, war will not solve it, niether will ignoring them. And now they are using pretty dirty tactics in gaining members (biased opinion, but we do have proof) this will turn into a flame war by all accounts. Brace yourself.....

 

 

 

You know, everything happened because of one person by all accouts, is pretty amazing thinking about it.

Be the bigger man and admit you were wrong. (At least TRY to mean it).

 

 

 

A war, specially one in runescape, won't solve jack.

 

 

 

Also, find out who CAN you trust in your clan. It shouldn't be too hard.

1) a backstab between two rivaling clans isnt all to uncommon.

 

2) did u try a comprimise between this "betrayer"

 

3) "refused to cooperate" sound like u were forcing him to do something he didnt want to do... hense a sense of unfairness

 

4) an i agree, ignoring something like this dosent go down well, because there would be more "backstabing" and flaming to each other etc

 

5) nope. war probly wont solve it, but it will show who is stronger and could force the others to back down or surrender

 

6) and yeah, quite interesting that two clans try to have a go at each other because of this one guy... hes probly sitting their at his pc smiling...

if the only way to solve this is to admit we lost or anything (even if we did not), i dont care, as along as they dont bother us anymore.

Here's what Dr. Phil would say: "Well, there is something called a life that most people would have. This is senseless fighting over some pixels on a computer screen and flaming your anger with words that some person from half-way around the world typed to you." I'm just kidding. However, I am a leader of my own new clan and will tell you this. The war wont solve anything, decline any attempts from them at war, I'd ignore their requests, simply telling them that you want nothing to do with them. If they persist to call you cowards, then don't become enflamed yourselves and flame them back. Basically, if they strike at you, turn the other cheek. Trust me, they will soon stop bothering you and realize what they are doing is stupid if their attempts are to no avail.

 

 

 

Just be the bigger man and turn the other cheek. They'll get tired of you not responding and soon leave you alone all together. They'll realize that this rivalry has no basis whatsoever and it will end.

 

 

 

I know there will be those among you who will wish to continue this fight, but you should be able to convince them to stop. You are a leader after all. =D>

You should have a final fight inside the mage arena (outer rim). Just use all of your magi power against them, range their mages, etc. Own them, they will be forced to sign a truce. If they break it, they will be invaded by all of your forces. -Get at least 80 mage and sara strike for every clan member if you can, this will end it real fast.

Well, *try* and get some sort of truce to go on and forget about each other forever. This happened to us and it still kinda went on, it stopped when we allied each other though lol. But try the truce idea, and your side better enforce it. But if they break the truce, give us a call, and I'm more than sure some of the clans here will help war them. I know we will.

Diplomacy won't do, as I imagine there have been enough attempts by now to have truces. We're sort of dealing with a patient thumb-sucking maniac (if I reason correctly).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Best is to remain more or less neutral and not the provoking party, make it hard for them at war. This will hopefully aim for a fading interest in war. If you can't solve, let time do it, and do as it says.

well first, 2 stop the spying and stuff make all ur boards(if invision free) unseeable by all guests, if they register put there ip adress in the thing and c if it matchs nething, if it don`t matfch ne1 let `em in, if it match some1 deny it

Give them a war if they want war. Maybe you can destroy them instantly. Lost of the clans are done after having wars ( the losing side ) lol.
