I am a friend of muskee too. last month i got 3 black marks in one day for silly lies. I have played since sept 2002 without a mark of any kind. Then i get 3 and one was for saying the word 'poop' and another was for buying seeds and she switched them for herbs and called me scammer and reported me b4 the trade. The last one was said in pm to an x friendd that i would talk to u later on 'mns' not 'msn' on 'mns'..i didnt appeal that one...jsut the first 2 and i was denied in 3 seconds flat.

 

 

 

I will no longer help new players or lower players again for they are out to remove us from our ranks. I saw a lvl 3 mplayer last week...wat does a lvl 3 pmod no about anything????

 

 

 

Bware i no u 2...we have had a disagreement over something i didnt do...but I respect u totally and remember the day u were #1 on rs rank and very proud of u. Most people dont remember this or even care...but I remember !!!!!!!

 

 

 

Jagex needs to stop and listen to the explanations of low lvl scammers reporting and giggling about it afterwards....My 3 black marks hurt too...and they are there and will always be there...if i continue to play rs. We all need to keep our higher lvl rankers protected!!! :pray:

jagax is totally in the wrong. I have know muskee for over a year now and she is all about being fair with peeps and always there if you need help. muskee is not a scammer and would never do anything like that to anyone. She has even taken time from wat she was doin to come and help if i asked for it. The whip that i have was given to me was from muskee. Do you think that if she was a scammer, do you think she would give something of that value like that away. Muskee i wish i was there at the time to help you. It's a shame how anyone can get you banned for trying to help others out. Makes me feel like i shouldn't help someone in need for fear i might get banned. :-k

yup jagex is getting harsh as hell... =( My main got banned cuz i asked for my rl friends pass as a joke... even in the "evidnce" of the abuse it shows me saying: lol jokes dont tell me... wat the hell? The ban was a perm too

That sorta thing happened to me as wlel a while ago some kid was asking for my password for about half an hour and saying he worked for jagex etc back when i was about lvl 50 so i didnt know how to put my chat to friends or much like that i tried ignoreing him but he wouldnt give up i replied saying to him "no why dont u give me your password instead" he then goes give me your password or u will be banned 2mins later i get connection lost try logging in and cant i get a 3day ban and 2black marks its so stupid the way they log chat cause people can wait till theres has been longer then a min so it looks like your in the wrong

Just another example of pathetic policing of the system. I got a black mark over nothing myself. Jagex Mods have been ruining the game for about a year now. Probably why most of the high lvls play so much less these days.

i remember when super weapon poison came out and i asked muskee to mix me some, i would trade her the supplies. of course it wouldn't work for the nightshade, as it is a quest item, but she supplied those from her own stock and mixed them anyways.

 

 

 

the very idea of a lvl 99 herblorist scamming a low lvl player for a few herbs is preposterous. there is nothing to be gained from such an attempt.

 

 

 

meanwhile i have high enough lvls in most skills myself and i am helping out other players quite frequently, often on their own request. what happened to muskee here gives me a good scare.

 

 

 

i can see only malintent on the part of the reporting player. he got the herbs and the pots. in addition he besmeared the honor of one of the greatest player in runescape.

 

 

 

someone with some authorithy should look into this and restore muskee's honor, remove the blackmark.

He reports whoever he wants for scamming when they did not. That is why pmods are going downhill most of them can't tell a real scam. I even remember telling one what a team scam was.

I rather see that JageX stays away from looking over trading screens/reports and have tons of item scammers than JageX banning as little as one inocent man/woman.

Someone remember after the interface update were you no longer could get defence xp while maging? It was because the new content developers dident know you got defence from doing magic previously, so they dident add it in the new code... (This was actualy stated in a forum post by a jmod)

 

 

 

I mean... Why are they trying to develop a game they know nothing about? JageX please hire people with experience in Runescape.

Sad to hear. I bet if you keep sending Jagex messages about how you were not tring to take advantage of that player, in time no matter how many automated responses you get back that they would take it off your record. It is pretty rediculous, messed with the wrong noob i guess :/ I hope everything gets sorted out for you. I try to always make clear with players i do not know. That they are receiving potions for their herbs. Sounds to me the player took advantage of you in more then one way. Jagex should of looked into your case a bit more.

 

 

 

I have always helped others as I can. I surely understand you not wanting to help anymore, so many times I've wanted to stop helping people myself. I always cave in to the free xp. Now you just have to deal with people calling you a high lvl stuck up noob. Puts you in a really bad position. And most the time not worth telling others why you dont help anymore.

 

 

 

I remember when I used to try to talk to high lvl people back in rsc. Not a whole lot of those players would give you the time of day. I can surely see why now.

I've been visiting the rants forum recently on tip it and have found two or three more people ranting about being wrongfully banned or black marked so I left them posts to check out this thread and give some support. :)

I know a player who was wearing some new robes (can't remember what kind). Another player asked him what kind of robes they were and he sarcastically said that they were touched by Zezima. Someone apparently reported him for item scamming and he got black marked for selling "Zezima robes" even though he never said he was selling them. I have seen the screenshot of the report that Jagex sent him. It is ridiculous. I also know Bware and Master Tim and I know for a fact that they were wrongly accused.

 

It frustrates me that this kind of thing happens so much. What are we supposed to tell new players? How are we supposed to be encouraged or encourage others to play by the rules when things like this keep happening? What do I say to someone who tells me that so and so scammed them or is an autoer and nothing was done about it while another player was muted for asking when his friend's birthday was? (Another example I know of that really happened.)

 

I know rs is growing fast and Jagex has hired a lot of jmods and recruited a lot of new pmods. Perhaps it still isnt enough to keep up with the volume of reports that they get or they just don't have the time to train them properly. Whatever it is, I hope a solution is found. Maybe as Bware said, give more than one chance to appeal a ban or a black mark so that it is looked at carefully.

I Do have another problem, being harassed by several as in 13 people now..Not them who is messaging me, its their friends! Every time I have block off to do trades when I am selling stuff, (Usually pots) I get harassed by those pretending to be me of their friends. I get called Hacker,Liar (when I defend myself) and very not so nice names

 

 

 

All 13 of these people are low lvs kid males from f2p claiming their char is mine. Some have been trying to sell my char too. Well the thing Is..I am a girl people! Old skool players, luckily alot of Jmods and friends know I am who I am. But why Do I have to put up with that? I tried to seek help when I had like over 50 of the friends from just one..trying to help their friends char being hacked..which they really got on my nervous when I tried to explain their friend is lying.."go ahead and report" Is the only thing I can say to them now.

 

 

 

 

 

They should get reported for faulsely reporting me and not only that..explaination that their friend is lying that they do know the account is not their friends. Something to that effect.

 

 

 

When I did complained about the harassments to CS and I get told its not against the rules. Not against the rules?! but if i tried to explain that I am who I am..would be against the rules!? When I am trying to defend myself? Thats pretty messed up! I get told to put them on ignore. Ok well that doesnt help either unless I get an endless unlimited ignore list. As long as they can keep on getting away with it. This problem wont go away..this too will get worse! Soon there will be a time, when some new Jmod will temp banned me until they investigate these peoples claims. Thats pretty scary even to think that. I will get punished for those people who does the crime.

 

 

 

Thanks Zilla, I feel I dont have much support anymore. And those who do support me, feel helpless to be able to do anything. Cause it has grown so big there, Sometimes it feels they are only there to collect a pay cheque and dont care about players who will probably just a pixel to them and never will meet face to face. I do know old jmods who are there still, still caring, and hard working, who dont like how things are now but are helpless to help too. I miss them being part of CS, things sure ran alot better then. Sometimes quality is better then quanity.

 

 

 

 

 

Question is..why I am still there and putting up with this? Cause Jagex has done alot of good for the game. Without sounding like a saleswomen for Jagex lol They have almost weekly made the game better to play. Always new stuff like items, food, training area's, new monsters and ect, never boring, they still listen to players to better the game inside which alot of games dont do, alot better graphics all the time, and u dont have to keep buying these updates or upgrades. Nor do u have to pay an arm and leg to buy the game or the upgrades or even to play. Its actually affordable and they never changed their price as some have once they got bigger. Another reason, they didnt give into real world trading instead they have huge special team who just does that, investigates and stops that.

 

 

 

Plus playing for so long..its hard to stop and restart another game..letting this one just die away. I have made several nice friendships from this game that It wouldnt be the same anywhere else without them.

this is actually starting to get scary now, there are lvl 3 pmods, just off the island, noobs falsely reprting and getting away with it etc etc. The other day, I helped a noob do Vampire slayer.. He didnt pick up garlic first, and so he died. Then he pms me in game and says that I made him die and took all 15k of his money, as well as full mith. What he actually dropped was 100gp, black cape, iron 2h and bones. Then he reports me, even after I gave him back all his noob gear! So I called him a noob, and he reports me again, saying that its offensive language. Ive now got a black mark and I'll be on here for the next few days instead of playing.

 

Want to know what level the noob was.....lvl 40. some of these people make me feel like :wall:

I would just like the thank all the support everyone is giving this thread, since I have neglected to do that. I've tried sending feedback and complaints several times to Jagex with no message back. Gets under my skin how they work...wrongfully black mark me, ruin my chance of getting them taken off, than ignore me.
