When you get assigned metal dragons, its just better to go to Burthorpe and get a new one? For as long as it takes to kill a metal dragon, and the quality of the drops, it is better to just pass I say, I burned up so many runes just to kill 17 bronze dragons. All I got was some Addy Stuff. Use over 200 chaos and death runes casting fire blast.

 

 

 

Didn't even go up one level in magic or slayer. Give me Basilisks any old day. Lesser Demons are okay but take forever. Now I have a century of Fire Giants to kill - at least it finally got me to do Waterfall Quest.

 

 

 

What are your observations?

Black mask + High grade armour vs. Bronze Dragons = Easy task.

 

 

 

Black mask + Prayer potions + Super set vs. Iron/Steel = Easy task.

slayer is annoying....you love it and you hate it

anyway dont get annoyed about bronze drags...you dont normally get in around 20kills

When using chaos runes.. your basicly burning away cash. With prayer pots + black mask. One is more likely to get a dragon leggings/skirt. With less cost

Ive only done a metal drag task once, I melee'd them. It wasn't too bad. Its good to do if you have some time to waste and feeling a little bored. The chance of a dragon drop is also nice :)

 

 

 

As far as time efficiency goes, it's probably better to skip metal drag tasks.

Depends on my mood if i do them or not, but I usually do, I enjoy meleeing them :) .

some people like them. I personally skip all metal dragons.

I'm with jack. The time to exp ratio is way too low, however when you're bored and you're not lagging, it can be fun, and it's not difficult to kill bronze's IMO, but iron and steel are harder with melee, so they aren't worth it ever IMO

i love metal tasks but why do i get so many more irons than bronze or steel lmao but here don't use runes on bronzes wear rune with whip that kind of thing and just use anti fire pots reduces damage taken over time by a lot i can finish what lost city gives me usualyl with a load of food

They even give 5% bonus exp, they are easy to slay with mask and prayer and you have a lot more action than slaying most other monsters. I always enjoy slaying metal dragons, thats probably why i have 5000 rune javelins banked :P

i always burhrope metal dragon tasks, there too slow. I'm working on 99 slayer currently and I dont recommend doing them 8-)

I hear many complains about not doing slayer on metal dragons, and it all makes me wonder if I'm the only one that doesn't skip it or one of the less than 50% of people that doesn't skip it. :-k

lol i was probably one of em. My 2nd taks was 89 bronze drags. Got myself a cannon and finished em all within hours. Was nice exp.

Cave Horrors (lvl 58 slayer) drop black masks. They can also be attained by trading with another player. I believe the price is around 400k.

 

 

 

Black masks increase Att + Str 15% for your slayer task. They also have the ability to make your opponents defense drop. The defense dropping is based on the charges of the mask. You have (10) charges, which can take place anywhere at any time, not only on slayer tasks. Black masks can not be recharged, however even at (0) charges, the Att + Str bonus still applies. :roll:

Nope. I've never skipped a slayer task. Ever.

 

 

 

I never understood why people don't kill them. They're good mage experience.

I've never gotten them, but I find maging them a waste of time. With proper equipment meleeing them is much easier.

I rarely get good assignments anymore. I miss those trolls, basilisks, fire giants, and harpie bug swarms (okay, I just liked the ridiculous amount of fire staffs I got from them).
