I am willing to fight the bronze ones but I have yet to fight an iron one. I am a bit of a chicken. :P

I skip bronze because of the wild dogs, but when I get iron or steel drags, I do a happy dance!

Just melee them with prayer, proselyte, whip, rune defender, black mask if you have it (I dont, boohoo, I killed about 2k cave horrors!) and anti-fire pots. It's not very fast xp, but then again, what dragon except for the green one is?

You get a good deal of rune drops and a not too bad chance of dragon items.

Try getting 8, 120+ iron dragon tasks in a row, everytime having to chuck them in for skeletons or something else like that. Slayer masters just love their metal dragons.

Pier pressure?

I can just see you being threatened by a wharf or jetty because you're a teleporter. Yes, I can see a large wooden wharf uprooting itself from the shore, walking over to you and slapping you in the back of the head for teleporting.

ps: dont mage....waste of money. black mask, super set, p pots and antifires ftw!

Do you find it more waste of money than a lot of prayer potions + antifire potions than anti-fire potions + runes which I don't pay for?

Seriously, I never pay for runes, I get chaos runes from paladins and runecraft fire runes, so how can it be waste of money? Seriously.

Lol, yes, that used to be true. But I don't get the assignments often any more and never in those huge numbers. Jagex has set things right and now I find I really enjoy the metal dragon tasks. Getting the same tasks over and over again is annoying with any monster, in my opinion. I do slayer because it's so varied.

As for mage versus melee, each to their own, I guess. I'm somewhat of a herblorist, so I make all my prayer pots and anti-fires myself from herbs I farm and get through slayer. For me, the melee method is faster, cheaper and more fun than magic.

At my level, those Metal Dragons aren't worth my time/food.

I often do a part of them, but dont feel like going back down.. For 3 kills.. :-s

I usually change them in for something like Monkeys or something..

I would exchange metal Drags for Basilisks or Fire Giants anytime :D

I only do iron and steel dragons when I have chaos to burn, and I melee bronze ones. At 93 combat meleeing anything higher than bronze takes too long for me to enjoy.

Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.

What level do u need to successfully melee metal dragons? Right now I am level 83 - 71-65-66 with 49 prayer. I have Full Rune, Berserker Helm, Whip, Rune Hally, Dragon Mace, Dragon Dagger to choose from. My friend makes my pots since I am only lvl 39 herblore. Uaually give my unids to him and he makes me a bunch of everything.

When I maged 16 Bronze dragons it used up at least 200 death and 250 chaos runes casting fire spells. My mage level is 62.

What is the perfect equipment I can take with what I have? Best food I can take is swordies without cash outlay.

I do bronze and irons, i "dont" skip them because u waste time and lose xp if u burthope it. But steels have heaps high def so i skip them.

Bronze are easy, just wear proselyte, black mask, whip, anti shield and melee em. You dont really need p pots if ur prayer is 65+, just 2 doses of antifire and 1 dose of super atk n str should get u through up to 20 kills.

Irons i usually bring 10 p pots, 3 super atk n str and 4 anti fires, i can get around 60 to 80 kills like that.

But steel are frustrating, take ages to kill. Id say 95+ atk is neccessary to kill em fast.

You might not think that it costs you anything to get your chaos and fire runes. But, you have to factor in your opportunity costs. While you are runecrafting fires, or attaining your chaos runes, you could be busy doing something else such as barrows or merchanting. So although you are not spending any money to get your runes, it doesn't mean that you aren't losing any money that you could otherwise be getting and thus it does cost you.
