October 28, 200619 yr I block the advertisements as is, so no problems at the minute. If advertisements are implemented into the java application, I won't play RuneScape anymore either.

October 28, 200619 yr I don't mind new players, if they're mature, but some of the players just are really immature. They try to scam people, instead of actually working for items, and money. I doubt they will put advertisements into the game, as that would cause huge backlash, and many people would quit. I know I would. Currently P2P. Like everybody said, popups can easily be avoided, and those are the only things that will affect gameplay. In regard to the floor of noobs, I think you people are making the mistake of assuming that anybody anywhere actually pays attention to ads :-k
October 28, 200619 yr WildTangent has signed on several top name brands to run ads in RuneScape, including Coca-Cola, Sony Entertainment and the U.S. Navy. Why would the U.S. Navy want to advertise in rs? I hate them... And those stupid army ads!

Hesaid something along the lines of it not affectin game play but haveing adds while the game is being loaded if anyone could find the post it would help. October 29, 200619 yr Jagex really sucks at advertising to people above the age of 13. No wonder so many people in rs just keep getting stupider and younger.
October 29, 200619 yr Ive never seen anything but banner adds. And I know a program (anti virus type) that bloks banners, but the trial ran out and the program is not free. But ive never seen any popups (at least non that popup blockers couldnt take care of). So does this only effect new computers cause the one I use is older (but still exceptional preformance).
