Jock -- I'm confused. On the one hand you're telling me that "the Editor is in fact a male", on the other hand you're saying it's Ard -- because she's a mom. #-o Does not compute!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It's already been established, very early on, that there is only one Editor at a time. Kiara said that, and I don't think she'd lie about it. In fact, I don't think any of the Mods/Crew/Staff who've posted on this thread have lied. At least none of them have said anything which I know not to be true (but I'm fairly low on the pecking order round here).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It has also been established that the current editor is not the only person who has had the job. So while there have been other editors, there's only one of them at a time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It's a tough job writing a regular weekly column -- I've done it professionally, with an industry newsletter -- I'd be surprised if there weren't at least 3, possibly 4 or even 5 editors over the 18 months the Times has been running. It's a job that leads to burnout somewhere between 6 months and a year on average, unless you're a professional journalist -- but then you get paid to do it.

I've said stuff like "What makes you think it's a guy?" and "...do you know whether each of the individuals (you suspect to be the editor) is male and female?" and "a good writer can establish narration based on a variety of writing styles and perspectives".

And Hugh, I answered your question, that the Editor is infact a male unless Kiara was lieing to us which is possible and I bet the Editor keeps a sharp eye on this topic. What the hell is wrong with you? The fact that people are still guessing makes for a fun topic but get over yourself if you have to post stuff like that ^^ over something this trivial. There's also been one or more people in between that time who have served as the editor. One of them with 100+ combat.

Thats what I thought but it seems I rather disturbed a bees nest. Guess I can't put a sympathetic tone in my words, o well. Um, you pretty much hit the nail in the head. Guessing won't do much since they never really answer them anyways. I guess it is all for fun, and I read the entire post and was amazed at all your research. Thats pretty funny how I got 2 Administrators to team up and tear me apart. If something is offensive, stop reading and just move on, it helps, never read all of it if it hurts already. I never saw anyone use the standard thing except Ard so that sums it up that it might have been her. Might have not been her, I don't know. I might get a ban because they never understand the young folk it seems. Anger pulses because its agonizing to see them toy around, they never answer and they never ever will give us a yes or no. I'm moving on from Tip.It and RuneScape. Of course it would be nice to still read the articles but life is life, we get what we get served.

I never really respect someone with power or anything but I respect a human being. I also really don't like people quoting everything since if you think its so "offensive" just delete it. People with power want some loyal people and it just runs like a wheel. Let me try to explain, nothing offensive, a small group is born. A select few are chosen as leaders and in time it grows. The group is divided in 2, higher and lower people. Since such restrictions to be in such a group the lower group have to abide by the Administrators. I like talking in real life since I can express things I can't say on here since it always creates a mess later on.

Actually, there is a nice point in continuing this discussion. :lol: As more and more Tip.It Times are published, we can read through each one, pick out potential clues, and then try to discuss if they are mere rumor, or potential facts. :-k Sure, Tip.It's staff will have fun messing with our heads a bit, but who knows? Maybe they will slip up, and trigger the "TET Event of the Century", something along the lines of "Fight: 'Editor Lovers' versus 'Editor Haters', no holds barred!" :thumbsup: ... It would be very fun. Especially when we feel that "feeling of positive accomplishment". Then, of course, there would be the added positive feeling of giving the "Past Editors" their deserved kudos, pats on the back, etc. ... Plus, like I noted earlier, it would make well for the TET, because if there were enough who hated those "Past Editors", then the TET could keep the situation mostly civil and set up battle parties between "Editor Lovers" and "Editor Haters"!

We have definitely got a new editor this week and peoples research seem to indicate Ard.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I believe (KNOW!!!one!!!!11!!eleven!!!one111) that we have had a new editor this week (a quick ctrl+f of "real" (as opposed to really)) will tell you that in the past (one example is that multiple editor story) really has been used. A slightly more American attitude can also be observed in the current article.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Although both of these editors say they try to keep their skills roughly the same, loads of people do that (I try to). That also may have been a (fairly puny) attempt to iron over the editor switching wrinkles.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In conclusion, we have managed to identify a new editor in their first week, \ so everyone deserves a pat on the back =D> case closed! (for the moment)

Case is most definitely not closed. We do NOT have a new Editor this week. We have had the same editor for, oh, going on some 10 months now. That's another hint, in case you all didn't notice. And yes, there is ONLY ONE editor. There aren't multiple people sharing the job.
