Poopingman
Hmm, this topic will likely draw alot of flaming, so beware Personally, I like petri lindroos from Norther. He also does the harsh vocals for Ensiferum. Metal fans, check out my band!Still the King....

Poopingman
Alexi Laiho. Children of Bodom. Thread can be closed now, I win. As much as I love COB, I have to disagree. His vocals on all of the demo tapes of IneartheD, Something Wild, and Hatebreeder were great! No complaints. Then, for whatever reason, he stopped "bellowing" and only did the raspy screams. Yeah, hes good at them, but it gets a bit monotonal. Especially since hes generally impossible to understand. Metal fans, check out my band!Still the King.... Arch_Tyrant
Its gotta be Randy Blythe cause his scream is so orriginal...no one can copy that... Other then that i think Matt Heafy's screams from trivium are pretty good too....(Before the crusade... :x )

I read the lyrics to Silten Night, Bodom Night ( Great, GREAT song, btw ) and then listened to the song, and I was just sitting there thinking.. " How .. how the hell, does that even sound ..like what he said..? " I'd have to go with the vocalist from Killswitch Engaged, or Bleeding Through. |Msg me me in-game | IrreIephant| ^ capital i

runemetsa
IMO Laiho is the weakest link (as in vocals in) of COB. My friend is a fanatic COB fan and he forces me to listen them, and usually, for the beginning I'm like "Hell yes, this sounds cool!" - BUT then alexi starts to make sounds (can't much count it as singing...). If they would have an actual vocalist, they would be world famous for sure -> for example, war of razors from tokio warhearts is sooo cool [Star Wreck][PM me][My gallery][DeviantArt][Cool T-shirts!][iron Sky - Trailer is now out!]

Nadril
hmm.. Dead from Mayhem or perhaps Iljarn. However, I do consider quite a few singers from Black metal bands to be good at harsh vocals. But if I had to chose two i'd chose those probaly.
LordQuad
I'd have to say Kory Tailor from slipknot or the lead singer of Demon Hunter. Dunno his name. "Your about as usefull as a poopy flavored lollipop"

Futurama
How do you rate screamers? Lyrical content? Emotion? guess it depends really. id just go for the general sound of the voice... George Pettit from Alexisonfire is a personal favourite of mine, like his voice, the way it compliments the music, specially on their Crisis album. Howard Jones from Killswitch engage has an awesome voice too, especially when they play live. shame he pretty much blew his voice out though, barely any screaming on their new album...
