November 19, 200619 yr I was thinking that this might belong in Blogscape (since it's a story) or General F2P/P2P, but since I can't decide, I'm putting it here. If it's in the wrong place, please move it for me. Thanks. Well, I'm finally taking that giant step. I'm quitting RuneScape. Back in April '05 I joined. I loved it from my second start (didn't like it on my first account). I loved getting new levels, meeting new people, and doing whatever I wanted. I was always striving to do another quest, or gain just one more level. I never thought I'd quit. But it must come to an end. Starting in September, when school started, my RS time was cut drastically. It wasn't even because my parents said so; I literally have no time, except on weekends. If you look at my blogs in Blogscape, you'll see I say, "I'll have this level by this time." It never works out. I get so bored and distracted; I do the same thing over and over again. It was hard enough crafting 100k nature runes without 91 rc. Now I'm crafting 400k+ laws to get a level? With hours of work I could be doing something productive in? I started asking myself today why I'm still playing. Sure, it was fun in the beginning. But now, I don't even know why I play. I asked, "Why are you crafting 400k laws? To get a pixelated level? Which then you'll spend another 100+ hours to get a nice hat? Why?" I had dreamed of getting a party hat. But the dream is gone. I just don't feel like playing. So, I decided to end it all. I really need to concentrate on my schoolwork. I got all A's in my middle school. In high school, I'm slipping; I'm hoping for all B's or higher on my report card. My time needs to be spent working on schoolwork. I can't let Runescape get in the way. I took all my pure ess and sold it for a nice 41m cash. Also, I bought a red mask. I'll let it sit in my bank, maybe I'll give it to one of my friends a little later. But until then, I'm cancelling membership. I still have about a month left, so I'll stop in to visit my World 99'ers a few times. But this doesn't mean I'll be leaving the TIF. I'll still be poking my nose in here from time to time, helping out and hopefully making more friends. You guys help make me realize where the intelligent RS population is. ;) Au revior. :3> EDIT: If anyone wants to contact me, since I won't be on RS, you can add me on AIM (Ddrmaster74). I'm always up for a chat. :) Ranked top 15 in the world for In The Groove. Click to watch videos.I'm back! For now.
November 19, 200619 yr Wow. You probably, no, likely, have never seen me on forums before. But i've seen you and respected you, for being a person who's posts you actually want to read. i guess it won't really mean much from a stranger, but it's sad that your leaving, goodbye. Also, I congratulate you on having your priorities right. There are a lot more productive things I could me doing but playing rs, Its cool your doing something about it. Goodbye, enjoy rl *shudders* :P

November 20, 200619 yr Author You're not even going to stick around for hunting? :? I was thinking about it, but I decided against it. I won't have time. I will have membership by the time it comes out, but I'm hoping I won't obsessively try and get a high hunting level. Heh, at this point, I hope I don't train it at all. I need to devote more time to school right now. Ranked top 15 in the world for In The Groove. Click to watch videos.I'm back! For now.
November 20, 200619 yr it would be a good idea to not give away ur stuff. u could come back in a year or so and decide to do many new quests and a new skill or so. but i like to see people who stop playing when they get bored. its a very good idea to stop playing when u just work for hours and hours for 1 level, and its not fun at all. runescape is fun while it lasts, but its not worth wasting ur life. when i finish all quests, which is my goal, i will either quit or just play castle wars. castle wars for me is one of the only fun parts of runescape
November 20, 200619 yr Lol, TQSS is quite a resilient disease :o . And quitting is such a nasty, incorrect word. How 'bout a long break, or a far less level of playing? I play maybe 2-3 hours a week now and I still don't say that I've quit :P . Well, cya :( . November 20, 200619 yr Sounds like you set yourself to high a goal, then when your playing time got cut you didnt have the time to make any progress. I doubt you need to quit, just set small goals for the time on rs you do have. However it is good to evaluate your playing of RS. I havent played on my main for about a month. I have a pure which I have been on maybe twice in the month to go pking when I sold some stuff I didnt need any more. I went on a new pure I made so I could play rs and talk to friends if i got really bored and I have only managed to get it to about 45 range lol. After the month playing the game like that I do not want to go on any accounts really and have decided to quit. You may not be like this and be content to play a few hours a week, the only thing that really stops me doing that is I gave all my stuff away :P Goodluck in whichever path you take.
November 20, 200619 yr Author Even if I don't rc anymore, I just feel like every time I log in is time I could be doing something more worthwhile. Thanks, though. Ranked top 15 in the world for In The Groove. Click to watch videos.I'm back! For now.

November 20, 200619 yr bye. rs is lame anyway. have fun! would you care to explain why your on a rs fansite forum if you hate the game? I'm bored of it and on the verge of hating Runescape (most likely going to take a month or two long break soon), but I still love to talk to people about the game and see what's going on both in the community and in game updates (since I basically never do quests or skills). That answer the question? [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. November 20, 200619 yr Noooooooooooo! :( The worst part is, I don't have AIM! Oh man, I hate life. I'll miss ya DDR, I need to quit sometime soon, I don't know why I play - I just can't bring myself to leave this game. You've been a great friend ddr, I will miss talking to you greatly. I wish I had some amazing words to say but - eh, what you see is what you get I guess. Best of luck to you in real life, and I mean that with the most sincerity. Talk to you later, thanks for the friendship. :) Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-I took the one less traveled by,And that has made all the difference.
November 20, 200619 yr Author Zaq, don't think this means our friendship is ending. I don't want anyone to think that. This is starting to sound really corny, but I'll still be here. So anyone can PM me, add me in AIM, debate with me here. I quit Runescape, not TIF. ;) Ranked top 15 in the world for In The Groove. Click to watch videos.I'm back! For now.
