November 21, 200619 yr In my experience, when I look up players, the females around combat level 90 are more likely to have the 1700-1800 skill totals as opposed to the males.
November 21, 200619 yr bit of a sexist remark if you ask me. Black people are harder to see in the dark. What's that supposed to mean? He's saying that stating or guessing a fact is not being sexist. [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.
November 22, 200619 yr sexist..... lmao. Go get a life, im serious, i only play rs when im really bored ((dont live anywhere near my friends, or basketball courts, ect, so ya, i actually have a excuse :P, and im not fat, unlike some of the people here.)) Do you happen to know what a Female is? The best form of female is in your grade, semi long hair, good hair, Medium height... and good other features of the female anatomy... Welcome! ((btw im in highschool, gotta take 1 thing of gym, and we have health courses, ((same in middle school)), and the first thing that happened is the teacher said they went to lovers lane and she whipped out a freaking part of the male anatomy...))) i can not say whatelse happened in the room. Are you high? :-s "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."
November 22, 200619 yr i dont care boys can sit back and watch them bend over wokring their [wagon] off lol 180th to 99 Divination + 1st W36er Rambo, cannot pk call your friends bro :). Wait nevermind none of SAPK/PKS can. Kappa.
November 22, 200619 yr Women players tend to be bored housewives who have lots of time on their hands while hubby is at work, I'm not a bored housewife, I'm just a bored college student. I don't even have (my own) house or husband. :P I'm a sKiller (hehe just noticed that) just so I can be at a high enough level to do all the things I want to do. One of my favorite skills is the Slayer skill. Mostly because it's a good way to train combat as well as the skill. As for the whole males with female characters thing, lets just say I'm a minority, RL female players with female characters. The only reason gender is a factor in this debate is because the average 12 year old girl is more mature than your average 16 year old boy (in real life or in Runescape). I notice this even in college. The males in my class are more likely to be disruptive or just ignore what the teacher is saying, most of the time anyway. There are a few very mature guys too. Probably more mature then I am.
November 22, 200619 yr its not true most of the top players are males i think. Most of my friends who are females really don't have very good totals... Its all about what a person likes to do RSN: drgnslyer15 15 skills 90+ - 10 skills 99 - 200m+ total exp
November 22, 200619 yr I have never, ever heard people get into fights while smelting in Port Phasmatys or farming in Catherby. The people there are just nicer and more mature. so true However, get within shouting distance of Edgeville bank or stumble into the duel arena on a clue scroll and the "noob" nonsense flares right up. So yes, a higher percentage of girls are more likely to be skillers, simply because girls are more mature. More interesting questions: - are you more likely to be scammed by a guy? - are girls less likely to nickel and dime you while trading? In my experience, yes to both. There are exceptions, no doubt, but I've found that girls in runescape are far less likely to focus on pixel wealth, and couldn't be bothered haggling over GPs, let alone trying to scam you. And that makes Runescape a richer and more enjoyable environment. Hopefully Jagex begins to tailor the game to attract those types of players. i know a few females that play this game, most of them are sisters of ppl i know. of the few i know they are insanely high in all aspects of the game, or pures that have niiice skills to go with them (she has every hat in the game that u can wear and still have under like 30 def) (she also got her 99 cooking right outside the mage bank with her clan, WITH A SANTA on.) i personally can tell if a player is a female or a older player by how they talk, its usually not the "ohh m gee g1v3 m3h my stoff b4ck" usually full sentances with corrent punctuation and all, personally i dont care about punctuation that much (its a game :XD: ) i don't play psykick anymore... i play 2ed: "pure fett" 26081 to get 99 herblore
November 22, 200619 yr There are no girls on the internet! lol ok . . . . Love, Trust and Pixie Dust!!
November 22, 200619 yr im female (hoho believe it or not) and i was a skiller-ish. my skills werent as good as my combat but i did try to raise them more than work on combat i am a paint noob
November 22, 200619 yr Many girls are averse to combat, so I would imagine that they skill alot. There are many though, who like it, and there are a fair number of male skillers out there as well. For the record, I'm a guy, and I prefer combat to skilling. (Though I do skill, if only for ice burst money.) 7 months ago, shoulen m0nk lured me for everything. If you know anything about him, pm me.lol that was a good story but his eyesight must be poor... it's a well known fact that mods only drop garages on players.
November 22, 200619 yr Most girls i know help me with quests and things like that alot more. Guys tend to not be so helpful, and most of the ones i know. Id say more girls skill then pk as compared to guys .. if you did it in proportion. But the only girls i know are high combat so obviously they do melee alot. Adapt to your conditions, don't cry about them. Runescape Since 2002
November 23, 200619 yr I'm a female, but technically not really a skiller. I'm more of a mix, training combat can be a bit boring...all you do is kill something, pick drop, etc. There's boss/harder monsters for more fun, but I tend to afk, so no to high level monsters. Skills have a huge variety, mining, woodcutting, cooking, and etc. They all have different ways to train it, even though you still click a lot...lol. I enjoy training skills, but not a pure skiller. Combat doesn't amuse to be as much as skills do, combat gets boring after a while, but I train it to gain advantage in fights. Skills are the fun in RuneScape to me, other than friends. Get bored of a skill, take a break or train a different one, tons to chose from unlike combat, where no matter what you kill, your still doing the killing process, which I don't like very much. No afking for combat...and I tend to not keep my eyes on the screen, hehe. 99 Fletch~~99 WC~~79/81 Fishing87/94 Magic~~84 RangeEtha! Saradomin Forever~CWCB: 107 Total: 1788+ON BREAK
November 23, 200619 yr Male. Skiller. All the best "mid level" skillers that I know are male. Whoever mentioned housewives is on to something. My Goals and Achievements
November 23, 200619 yr What about Uloveme, Lilyuffie88, Samanthanz and some other female, that were topping the prayer hiscores, and all were in the top 10 of one or more combat skills? (uloveme is a girl, right? )
November 23, 200619 yr I think that it's hard to tell mainly because the amount of males playing the game is far greater than females. I know a fair amount of skillers, and i only know that one of those is female. I would say that being a skiller is nothing to do with your gender, but your personality :P 90 Combat 1900+ Total99 Crafting 99 Cooking 99 Firemaking99 Herblore 99 Fletching 98 Farming
November 23, 200619 yr I would say that being a skiller is nothing to do with your gender, but your personality Now I think you have it right! This is one of those things that's hard to prove right or wrong b/c there's so many more males that play this game. From what I can tell so far it's kinda mixed with the posts. :D Love, Trust and Pixie Dust!!
November 23, 200619 yr Author I would say that its more about age than about gender. Older players usually have more patience than players in their low teenages or younger - and you need patience to level skills. Then the gender distribution differ due to player age. Among the younger ones males dominate, among adult players the gender distrubution is more equal. yeh i agree to that statement, but i do think its partly an age gender thing... Wondering what to do with life .....
November 23, 200619 yr I think its men play as women who are more likely to be skillers as combat players like to big strong man
November 23, 200619 yr I'm female. I like both combat (lvl 106) and skills (total 1673). If it weren't for slayer, I might not train my combat very much though... I don't like PK. Don't know if it has anything to do with my gender. I've never killed another player in the wild and I don't think I ever will.
November 23, 200619 yr hmm well out of 100 women about 5 of em are real girls in rs... You should've specified what "a skiller" is though cause some people think it means some1 who trains all stats and some ppl think it means some1 who trains 1 stat to the max and some ppl think it means some1 who trains all stats except combat... in my experience we have lots of all (all the above and male and female). personally I like to train all skills, but is that because I have so much patience that I want to train all or not enough patience to stick to one skill for a long time?.... Jeebe's RuneScape Tools
