Antrune
Both bands are highly repulsive. And no lol why do you always want to get stuff from John Lewis. Its over ̣̉300 more then than what i paid. John Lewis is a great, great shop.
inureface
ughhh this just makes me hate u2 and green day even more :wall: All PKers need to read this
Futurama
Absolute crap. Green Day are an embarrasment to punk everywhere since American Idiot. Two huge selling artists trying to do something special and it ending up selling loads because of the names and not the music. Sorry but the song's crap considering they're such huge artists. You're all old, just retire you cretins.
richpoepaap
It got better the second time I listened to it. First time I think it sucked. Din't think it's awesome, don't think it's crap. Btw, I like Greenday -.- (like the old Greenday more than the present though)
bluuechicken
not really sure what to make of it to be honest. I love Green Day and hate U2. I didnt think it was that bad really although I certainly wouldn't go out and buy it. I just think its weird that those two bands joined together to do that song seeing as its nothing like any of Green Days music.
jimi2424
What a bad combination of Two bad bands.... Both have gone way past their time... I think they need to realise they just don't cut it anymore instead of making silly attempts to cling on to their popularity. dude U2 is like one of the most influential bands ever they deserve every bit of what they have. I dont care how much you hate them but to me they changed music and the world. Yes their old stuff is better in my opinion like sunday bloody sunday and the unforgettable fire and where the streets have no name but they are still a great band and will never be past their time. ok i dont like greenday- i didnt mind their old stuff but now they just seem so fake like they are trying to be like some protest band and i cant see them as being that and i also dont agree that they are punk. to me punk doesnt exist in modern music. punk to me is the clash and the sex pistols. What statement do modern "punk" bands stand for? Hopefully not mascera...

muggiwhplar
I thought it was a decent song, even though I hate both Green Day and U2. It is a dumb reason to hate a song just because you hate the artist(s) performing it or the fans who like the artist(s).
dwarfdude3
The song and vid are very good in my opinion. I like both bands, Green Day and U2, and have for a long time. I find it really ironic about the way people hate and love Green Day. They released American Idiot in 2004 around election time, when American president Bush's approval ratings were still doing alright. What happens? They are insanley popular. Now, its 2007, and practically everyone hates Bush, but Green Day's popularity has really dropped. What the hell is going on? The only explanation can be that the majority of people that listen to Green Day don't give a rat's [wagon] about the message of their songs, and just listen because they think it is 'cool' or the popular thing to do. I have been and continue to be a Green Day fan ever since the release of American Idiot, and have been and continue to be a non-supporter of Bush ever since he was elected. I think people should learn to rely on themselves a bit more, rather than on what other people tell them to do.
Gunnersaurus
U2 is one of the greatest bands in the world, Bono's lyrics is the best in the world. just listen to songs like Electrical storm, Miracle drug or One. Green Day is ok i guess. but the lyrics for the song is sooooooooooooo bad! theyre repeated all the time and they say nothing! a true u2 fan speaking, the ONLY band u2 should ever cope with is REM To travel is to live

I listen to the music I like because it sounds great, not because I agree with the lyrics. Since when do you have to analyze the lyrics to have the right to enjoy a song? And for the record, I don't like Green Day. But my point still stands.
deloriagod
I think it's funny that years ago you might be beaten up if you said you didn't like Greenday. Now you might get beaten up if you say you like them. I personally still like them and there's no way I'm hopping on the bandwagon  I wan't much impressed by this song or the video to go with it.. I've seen better.. Syd
Green Day > U2 'nuff said. :-k On topic. The Song is pretty good, but no chances when compared to Green Days older songs (Basket Case, When I come around etc.)
justin_m23
I like the song, its catchy, which is why its played 10 times a day on the radio :wall: But i dont know why people hate Greenday. I know they have become unoriginal and mainstream, but most popular bands will end up that way, because its all about the moo la.
