Choncel
If Jagex sold a snazzy client application for Runescape, with souped-up graphics and music and so on, would you buy it for $49.95 USD? In all other respects the gameplay for this hypothetical software would be identical to the web-based version, except that you would install it from CDs and it would live on your hard drive. You would still be able to play the web-based version from another computer if you wanted.
Dalcyte
i personally don't mind the bad graphics...i may but it wouldn't be a priority. HatshepsutLecter
There is no way that I would get a Runescape pc game. I am perfectly happy with the graphics as they are so I don't really have a need for it. Plus I don't have my own computer so it is not like I would be able to use it. :P The Internet: where men are men, women are men, and children are the FBI.First Dragon Drop 5/6/2006 -Dragon Med from Bronze Dragon :DFirst Barrows Item From Chest 2/20/2007 - Verac's Brassard :D
Brandon_N
The graphics would have to be really snazzy for me to buy that. However they don't bother me the way they are now. To me, games aren't all about graphics and animation. You sometimes see more meaning in a black-and-white photo as opposed to a colored one. - Brandon Have an empty feeling you can't get rid of?Visit Here Saddest Song Ever
goodcountry
pretty sure one of the main reasons runescape has no hacks for it is because it does not "live on your harddrive" i like the no hack thing, so no, i would not buy it.
speedofsound
As the person above me said, it would cause hacks and such. So, No. You can't ever find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "(bleep) you" right under your nose. Try it sometime. I think, even, if I ever die, and they stick me in a cemetery, and I have a tombstone and all, it'll say "Holden Caulfield" on it, and then what year I was born and what year I died, and then right under that it'll say "(bleep) you." alkatmsu
If gameplay was the exact same, no. If gameplay was altered in some signifigant way making the game more exciting (first-person perspective, faster, etc), then probably. I'd prefer it still be able to be windowed, so I can chat on the side like I do now. It would need to come with a few months of members or something also to really be worth the money. vapour
50 bucks to put it on your hard drive...? You can just save it from the website onto your pc?... Giordano
If its just the graphics I probably wouldn't. RS's graphics are OK right now IMO... mikeb912
$50 is too much for it. Maybe if there were cheats though...
Pinkbullet3
$50 is too much for it. Maybe if there were cheats though... Get outta here... :shame: -.- RuneScape is based primarily on the fact that you can interact with other players online... so if you just have the game installed and you're killing dragons, cooking, and fishing by yourself, it wouldn't really be that fun. ^ Blog. aznmidget448
Nah, I don't think it's worth the money. I would just play normally (and my parents wouldn't allow me to buy it. They won't level let me become a member #-o )
sanday79
Ehh, I dunno, a RS game wouldn't fit too well with me, unless the graphics were significantly better and paying $50 granted you all the stuff of members (which would never fly I bet). misterxman
$50 is a lot of money, and spending it on ONLY just better graphics/sound would not be something I would do. :P To me, gameplay is most important so graphics don't really matter that much. Mirror
why would we spend money for something we already have? It would be hard to get updates regularly too. A reflection is just a distorted reality held by glass and your mind.

slade8
Maybe... but ONLY if they improve the graphics (and i dont mean making lessers look different; i mean a TOTAL GRAPHICAL MAKEOVER!) And i'd buy it for $50 if it had free unlimited membership included. It's better to keep your mouth shut and have everybody think you're stupid than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. Scudman126
would you buy it for $49.95 USD? Lmao. Seen the exchange rates, $2 to the pound now. ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã25, yeah, that is a fair price, considering most new games are ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã30-40.
