Have you been sick this winter?

I usually get sick quite frequently. This year, I have not been sick at all.

As in, physically sick, I've done so about 3 times in the last two months.

And I hardly ever get sick during the winter, weird because I always get a cold in late spring/early summer.

And I think it's Summer in Australia, sooo, yea, haha.

hey, man, summer is great in Aus.... when you have air-con. :P

but a few months ago, during winter, i was sick. now i try to take vit C regularly (fights bacterial/viral infection [not a cure, makes the cold pass quicker by helping the body do what it regularly does])

One of my freinds just got better from mono.

As for me, I haven't gotten sick for 2 years, not counting a mild cold which I stretched out for 2 days to miss school, and no counting cold sores.

Every 2 winters I get crazeh cold sores, last time in 7th grade, the herpes gt both my lips, bottom most, and started going down my chin before it got better, good thing it was winter break.

This year my upper lip was swollen out an inch from two of them, at once, and a a line on my bottom lip.

I missed a 3 day week of school, I could barely eat/drink or move my lips at all.

It took 5 days to stop growing and 7 to go back to normal.

even now, 2 weeks after, when my lips get cold there are 2 really blue spots on my upper lip from it.

Vitamin C doesn't do that.

Vitamin C is needed for normal development of connective tissue, including those holding teeth, would healing, and use of iron.

So the worst that could happen is your teeth being loose, may have a place which bacteria and viruses can get in, or slow healing of wounds. Iron doesn't usually have anything to do with bacteria or viral infection.

So the only thing I see here is to have less time exposed to infections when you get injured.

I use to get colds about 2-3 times a year, but now with stress, and my brother not bothering to take preventive measures against infections, I probably get sick 3-6 times a year. It sucks.

A friend of mine had mono too. The only way you can transfer it was through kissing, right? :P

See below

What's mono?

Mono is short for Mononucleosis which is commonly referred to as the 'kissing disease'. It is caused by the Epstein-Barr virus. Since the virus is located in saliva/mucus it is commonly passed by kissing but can be passed by coughing, sneazing, or even sharing a glass/silverware.

Currently, I have a nasty cold and I'm none too happy about being sick. <.<

I am missing Holiday Relays right now because I am sick.

:(

I used to have a link to my school's project to provide fresh water to a Kenyan Village, but the sig police changed the link to say something, which, if followed, leads to an "ahem" adult website. Let me ask you. Which do you think is worse?
