Its too high?! Only 7 ppl get the prize a year! lol there is even little chance of winning the primaries. I would understand its too high if everyone who maybe beat the primaries got it but thats not the case only 7 ppl out of all the members the prize, 1 for each division, only once a year and the possiblity of one person getting it is very slim and getting it twice would almost be impossible.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But I will compromise and down the rewards, the portraits, chance of a statue and clothes are good enough i guess... maybe 200k xp and 1mil

Nice ideas but i dont think Jagex will ever reward someone with 200,000 xp in any skill.

You've misunderstood, its 200k in anyone of the skills that you've done the game with IF you are 1 of the 7 champions.

instead of 200k xp in the skill that they win in why not just let them have a month of membership free or they get to use a skill before its released

its a members only skills. If you read the whole thread it says you can only take a ship docked in Port Khazard(P2P) and the only alternatives are teleporting or gnome gliders(P2P) if your a champion.

yea i read the whole post but say it is in a certain world only 2000 people would be able to see it and if they win they get an extension of one month of members i never said that they werent members already

Good job doing this, I support it. But, there are a few things I personally think could use some changes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

First of all, a competition every year is a little much. Runescape won't even last long enough to have five of these, IMO. Maybe once every three months or even every few weeks, that would still be less than 100 people with the new prizes each year. Once a year is just to much.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Next, levels. There is no way someone with 60 cooking could beat someone with all 99's. How could you fix this? I have no idea :ohnoes: You could have different level competitions or something.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Player interaction. Arena battles and such with more than two players would cause teaming. Someone really low could get high lvls to team with them and let them win.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And for all you people that say the rewards are to good, any player that could actually manage to win these things would easily be able to get 2mil or 500k xp in the time the arena would take.

[kind as a blunt axe on] this is a horrible idea [kind as a blunt axe off] ok ONLY 7 WINNERS A YEAR????????? i am sorry dude but that would be a horrible idea because only the higher levels could win i mean (pulls up highscores) zezima, uloveme, yogosun, monkey moejo, svulle, thehate, and casserole (the current top 7 people on runescape overall highscores) the last 7 (look them up yourself) zezima and co would OWN THE HECK OUT OF THEM i mean how fair would that be ok well i take that back the last 7 that would make it into this little unfair "contest" them vs. zezima and co who would win? if you said zezima and co you are correct! as said at least 100 times before how fair is that??? besides once a year is too far between each contest also the rewards you prepose are too much also you are just specifing the duel arena to just specific skill groups in my opinion take any files you have saved on this topic, burn it, and forget it

It would be helpful if you could be a bit more descriptive on how the Hunter/Slayer task works. I'm quite interested as to what special animals could be caught that would only be accessable at the arena. (Larger animals? )

I saw that you later explained that the arena would be open-year round for playing with a much smaller reward ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ã

hmmm, not a bad idea but i think the champion thing is too restrictive. mabie 7 people per server would be good but 7 people gamewide is too restrictive. but overall i support

oh and mabie to further channel things, why not make it so the competition in off months would feed into the main competition. for instance people could openly register in November, go through the November competition of say 10k people and the top 100 from November would go on and say in December the main competition would be held. again this would be for each server, so it would be restricted.

I hate when people suggest things liek that, no offense. When the rares came out, they were to never be redistributed. If people got party hats prices would drop and it would cause a ripple effect to the economy and buyers/sellers/merchants/etc.
