That's how i felt a few weeks ago. I was thinking of how rs was killing my real life and that i needed to quit rs. It passes, you've been rejected and also have your mom yelling at you.

 

 

 

My mom yells at me all the time for the amount of time i play rs, thats why I'm not on as much anymore, she put a password on it-.-. She doesn't yell at me though.

Don't worry. I've been through the same thing. It's too bad we can't take breaks from RL like we can from RS. We can't say "Hey Timeout". I've never had luck either. Girls just kinda think of me as a friend and nothing more. You'll get over it.

I know how it feels too. I couldn't date until I was 16. I turned 16 and tried to get some dates. I got all the way to 17 and a half with no luck. At that point I decided not to date until i'm like 21 and a return missionary. The way I see it, dating in high school is wasting money on someone else's wife.

 

 

 

As for your mom yelling at you, my mom unfortunately died when I was 13, so I don't know what it's like. She was pretty cool about my pc/video game tendencies when I was younger, probably because I couldn't work. Now my dad plays RS with me and since my mom had life insurance on her, i'm collecting social security money until i'm 18, thus eliminating any need for me to work before then.

 

 

 

Good luck with 99 slayer, one level left and you can now alch and do all teles on lunar. That should speed things up :D.

You would be suprised how many people have (had) that. I doubt there is anyone over 20 who has never felt that way. The only thing I can say is; rejection is part of live. Also that has happened to anyone. The only advice I can give is; move on, it's not the end of the world. We know how you feel and you're not alone.

 

 

 

And about your mom, mine was a bit like that too for a short time (but not as extreme as directly insulting me). She also said I was on the computer too much, I should get a job and hang out more with friends. But we had a good discussion about it. Which went something in lines of me saying "Look, where is life about at my age? Yes, about fun. And this is just what I enjoy very much!" and "I agree my social life isn't very big, but that doesn't mean I don't have friends, that doesn't I'm sitting quitely alone in the corner of the class all the time, that doesn't mean the only thing I can talk about is computer related and that also doesn't mean all my friends are male. If it's like that, I agree I should play less, but I see no reason now."

 

And argueing with your parents is also part of life. But I suggest you to talk about it together (without screaming), it really helps you both. You'll be suprised to see what underneath everything really bothers her. When we had that, we both finally realized why it was going so downhill and most of it was based on minimal things and little misunderstandings -those are the base of almost all relationship problems-.

Very true. One of my friends decided to have a secret relationship with his girlfriend. Things went fine at first, but when the girl's dad found out...well, let's just say my friend won't ever do that again lol.

I find that it helps not to make it public knowledge that you play rs :P

 

 

 

I mean, a lot of people think that it's a rather geeky thing to be into. Now, I don't think that there's anything wrong with playing a computer game, and enjoying it, but not everyone sees it that way.

 

 

 

I just keep my rs "life" separate from my real life. I don't feel that it really affects me, but then I'm not as avid a skiller as everyone is (I'm also a bit of a nerd [in a chess, math, science, onlyabletodo20pushups kind of way], so I don't think that I have much of a rep to lose anyway :oops: ). I'm satisfied with the way that things have worked out for me. I wouldn't say I'm a lady killer, but I have some friends that are girls. Some day maybe I'll get more interested in one of them. Heck, if one of them asked me out (

 

 

 

If you are feeling upset about rs being the thing that you are best at in life, find something else that you are interested in, and pursue it. It might even help to take a [small] break from rs for awhile. Not too long though, we're all dying to see you get 99 slayer :thumbsup:
