wakka102 Posted January 5, 2007 Share Posted January 5, 2007 Maybe people do this, I'm not sure, I didn't notice anybody doing it. If your an attacker, its good to bring along full guthans. I brought a d scimi, spear, and whip. Spear has controlled and defence attacks so you can heal yourself when those attacks are called out. When I played the game all the way through with my team I was the only attacker the whole time and I very very rarely needed healing. That way, your healers can focus on the rest of the team. Also, I noticed that the little spawn creatures that pop up during the queen fight can be attacked by anybody and with any attack style. If you bring along guthan's your healer shouldn't have to do anything at this point in the game. Just thought I'd let everyone know about that, sorry if its been posted. The things can barely hit me even the queen.(kinda disappointed that its so easy) Maybe I need healed once a game, but ppl keep healing me even though I say "dammit I only want 40hp so I can dharok". :XD: Exclusive Legacy Mode Player He just successfully trolled you with "courtesy" and managed to get a reaction out of you. What does a defender have to with losing HP? when he doesnt do his job and makes the 10th wave take 20mins to kill the last few runners. since only he can lure them to traps/cave its his job to finish off the last few and he didnt know what he was doing and the team leader decided hed be a good collector even tho he never had been 1... and since time = damage in that game... well you get the idea. or at least i hope people are smart enough to get the idea i dont even see a need to heal that much...the first queen run i did i had some low lvl defender who didnt know what to do so i took sooooooo much damage.. also, guthans is good for healing off the queen spawns which are attackable by any player.I said that... skimmed over your post, didnt catch that part, thought id throw it out their in the off chance you did miss it. Otherwise, its going to die down quickly I think. you have to admit, the items are reasonable for a minigame reward tho, the mage hat is equal to ahrims hood/farseer on magic attack bonus rangers hat = archer helm, so its okay. melee plate with +4 str and a granite plate. some other random stuff thats useless for me... There was always at least one person who didnt know what to do (including me sometimes ). Btw, you need to kill ALL penances before you can shoot omega eggs on the queen? (because the queen appears BEFORE you killed all the penances, yet ive got a message i cant shoot the eggs yet (when i was collector). Even as a collector I can survive without putting too much stress on our healer when fighting the queen. Lvl 4 collector ftw. Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks. Roglord Posted January 5, 2007 Share Posted January 5, 2007 I'm usually the attacker, being the highest Combat level in my normal group, and i'm quite a fan of the Guthan/Verac combo. In any wave except 10 it's very rare that I get hit enough to be killed anyway with Veracs, and the flail has every attack style, so I use that. Then, in wawe ten, I switch to Guthan.
