barbarian assault rewards...

Featured Replies

ok ive been playin since it came out and the fun has sort of worn off after about the 10th killing of the queen. Lot of people that can ruin the game down there and it can get fustrating.

So im guessing a few other people are geeting bored of this game and after about a week the buzz of the new game will start to dye down, so it has to be asked..

whats the advantages of playing the game?

PC has clear advantages for example but im not entirley sure about this, from what ive heard the gambiling system sucks, and the chance of getting a d chain also blows.

so i was wondering, are you guys going to be playing this game regularly a month? and if you are why? what rewards are worth the time and effort of going through the very long (and sometimes fustrating) game?

i spent about 15 hours there the first day:

soon as i got 500 points it was the high gamble for me, hoping for a d chain....if not maybe a d2h? or d med?......neither all i got was 45 bloods!

ok so i think gamble doesn't work what else is there?......i look..... ahh a fighter torso, wow a +4 str bonus, that seems like it will be worth getting and maybe it will be tradable?

So i spend the next 10 hours getting 375 points in each class, 8 queen kills later and i have enough points to buy the torso. I get the torso!

Yes the fighter torso is quite a cool item +4 str, but at what cost? a massive def loss!, thats what cost -and not tradeable

So then i look around and think what else is there to work towards? the answer to that is nothing, i mean u dont even get any training expierience from the game.

in my eyes once u have the fighter torso never return to this cheap mini game again, i certainately wont be for sure.

Timmy is so good at it that people ask him for help.

He Said Excuse me Hell Slayer can I speak to you for a moment, would you like to join a clan called The White Legion?

Its your items and to have someone steal it, without hesitation, its just wrong.

Is that what runescape/tif has come to? The money? You need to rethink this game kid.

If anyone remembers me... PM ME. having nostaligia issues D:

can we stop flaming,

i didnt say it wasnt fun, i think its a great fun game and will probably visit every now and again.

what i amn saying is it worth spending like a month doing non stop to get a exellent reward.

so far it looks like its worth getting the plate and gloves.

post what you know about helmets.. i dont have 1 so i was just wondering what the stats are or what they do :-s

off topic:

runescape is clicking in 1 spot over and over again, the excitement comes through seeing you reach your goal of a skill or getting a an item/sum of money. this is 90% of the game... the other 10% is haveing fun at c wars, pest, pking, kqing etc. granted some of the game is fun but you have to admit a lot of it is acheiving your goal and this what a vast majority of rune do.

DO NOT SPAM MY THREAD ON WHETHER YOU THINK RUNE IS FUN, PLEASE ONLY POST ABOUT HOW USEFUL THIS MINI GAME IS.

This is the first truly challenging feature Jagex has ever created.

"300 programmers make their futile but glorious last stand against 1000000 angry players in The battle of Misthalin. They fight for honor, glory and new content sacrificing themselves so that their game may live on. This is Madness! This Is JAGEEEX!"

We must remeber that all the BA armour rewards (penace armours) are non tradable so if u loose any its back to BA for another 12 hours =P

so thses armours are just good for pc or cw really, if they are any good at all.

I haven't played it a whole lot, 2 queen kills, but I find it great fun :D.. I honestly think they should increase the value of the average 500 point gambel though.. otherwise this game could easily die out.

I disagree completely. This minigame isn't a challenge, the only challenge is getting a team that know how to play.

CW has more of a challenge than this and requires some skills, whereas with BA you just go through the routine of killing/defending/etc.

I totally have to agree with this, I mean look at the cw waiting room in world 2 or any ohter very crowded world, it's totally packed there!

I hope everybody saw the sarcasm

I agree the gambles are bad, but most of the armour owns!

Why's any game worth playing at all? Because it's fun. Exp per hour doesn't mean anything in this life, but the amount of fun you have playing the game does.

yup! fun..i only do what i enjoy in runescape now. Slayer and cw. The only bad thing i do is burthorpes and spending ages trying to get into w2

I could have easily got the fighter plate by now. But I'd rather master each one. The game is so fun I love it.

Quit RuneScape :)

The reason the game is soo addicting to me is that uncertainty. you might be doing your job perfectlly, but soemone isnt and you loose.

im a lev 4 healer, but for instance if the defender or atker or collector doesnt use the horn, they could be dieng faster than i can heal them. i find it wierd how i barely get hit... oh wait thats right i dont wear robes!!

pures playinig here in ghost or monk robes really pisses me off too.

the fact that its utterly fruserating keeps me playing :ohnoes:

Currently 40 Healer points and about 350 defender points away from it.

Not looking forward to the 350 defender points though, tried defending a couple of times and it's impossible to get the runners to go where you want them to.

This is my favourite Mini-game easily and will probably max everything and get everything possible.

erm can i just remind people what the question i asked was...

are there any worth while rewards getting.

this is not a topic on whether you think the game is fun, or rune in general is fun. If you want to have a discussion about that could you please create a thread asking whether you think runescape is fun.

I disagree. I've played hundreds of Castle Wars matches and I can safely say it's hardly a challenge since:

1: All you need to win a game is to be on a higher level group than the opposing team.

2: It's a bloody capture-the-flag game. See Warsong Gulch in World of Warcraft and every other first-person shooter there is.

3: You don't need ALL of the players to be efficient to win in Castle Wars whereas Barbarian Assault NEEDS all the players to do their job or a game is lost.

4: Any time you win a game in Castle Wars you ALWAYS get points regardless of performance while you might get NONE at all if you did a horrible job in Barbarian Assault (it happened to me when the healer didn't use his horn -.-)

The only minigame that can compare to this one's challenge is the Fishing Trawler even though players in it can do every role immediately.

at least CW lasts for a preset of time - Warsong Gulch lasts 3 flag pickups and then its done - I like CW a lot more than WSG - thats just me though

To be good at cw, you need skill, to be good at ba you need to learn a repetitive pattern of gameplay.
