Guest TaDaraCampbell
Get a paper round. I think it's so funny when British people and what-not say that... because the thing is, there is no such thing as a "paper round" in the U.S.A. (or in my town for that matter, but I can only assume my town represents a good example of the rest of America). And, most jobs don't hire until 16-18, so unless you are one of those really odd (:|) people that are all joyful to go skippin' around your neighborhood asking random people for odd jobs, you're not in luck until 16. :
Fadfdfd
Well, I umpire little league games. ($20 if in the field/$25 if behind the plate). It's easy money. I just have to watch a baseball game by young kids (FUNNY STUFF) for 2 hours. Only problem is I'm exhausted from running around at the end of the game. Next summer, I'm going to see if a job is possible at the local golf course. :P. Then I'll work at a local grocery store after that. :P Where I'll see my current Math Teacher a lot #-o there is no such thing as a "paper round" in the U.S.A. You're right :P. Let's get that straight to all the British. In the USA, it's a big country. There are vans that do all the paper. My state has 3 Newspapers, and they are all HUGE. They wouldn't hire a kid to bring their paper to 50 other towns . There are local papers. But, The local papers that there are, come in the mail. Grocery Store, that's where I'd go. All that food . I might become a waiter at a local restaurant with pretty much all young waiters/waitresses, and it's a nice restaurant too. Final prices for a family of 4 end up being ~$60 (~30 Pounds-ish??). That's, from a nice restaurant, a $12 tip

fgfuyfyuiuy0
I got a job at 15 and a half, and I live in the US. Just go from house to house, and ask if there needs any yard work to be done. When I was 14, I made deals with people that every other weekend I'd visit all their houses and mow their lawns. Paid well :D I <3 Gears of War 2. Add me on Xbox Live and mention you are from Tif :D

The things is I find that kinda emarassing  As do I think it would be quite "embarrassing" to do such a thing, so he (and I) are looking for ways around this :)
Despaxes
Hmmm first of all People dont hire under 16 due to insurance costs, not anything else. Most Grocery stores dont hire baggers until age 15. The only thing you can do is roam house to house and ask. If you wont do that because someone might say no and it wont really matter, then you dont really need the money so suck it up and wait til you can get antoehr job in which you will be too nervous to interact correctly with employeses/consumers and you will get fired. Good luck thanks everyone for the sigs!

Most Grocery stores dont hire baggers until age 15. That's not true at all.. Have you seen the hours that kids under 16 are allowed to work? From what I remember(during the school year) Can't work more than 3 hours on a weekday, can't work past 8, can't work more than 15ish hours a week, can't work more than 8 hours on a saturday/sunday(not combined). Most retail places hire HSers so they can help close the store at 9-10pm while starting at 3:30-5:30(varies store to store, but from I've gathered, those are the normal times)
lawrencekill
Stand outside Wal-Mart in pitiful clothes and beg for money. It probably pays more than most minimum-wage jobs. True. Guest TaDaraCampbell
How long until your 15? Then try & geta job at McDonald's :P First of all, it's "you're" Secondly, unless he was to clean the tables, I don't think he can work at a McDonalds, and since it appears that McDonalds actually doesn't clean their tables (or hire seperate people just for the job), there is mostly nothing to do at McDonalds (since he can't cook and stuff because you need to be 16+ to be around knives, and I can only assume you need to be 16+ to be making food for people). rocketman089
You know, there's a lot more to do at McDonalds than "cook". There's people to work the register, clean the lobby, operate drive-thru, etc. But anyway even for McDonalds in this state you have to be 16. A lot of the 14/15 year olds here might get a job at a car wash or something. Gamertag: King Arizona
Mercifull
14 is too young to get a proper job. You will have to make do with mowing lawns and washing cars. What do you even need money for at your age anyway? Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape.
