Met plenty of female RS players and bar a few most of them were pretty decent people (and a few of them kicked my arse) XD

 

 

 

Most girls i've known play computer games do indeed suck, but i've known a few girls to be good at them too. Computer Games are quite a guyish thing, but doesn't mean girls cant play them too. Suppose you've got to see it from across the spectrum, it's like a guy caring about fashion and stuff. Not meaning to branch into sexist territory, but its predominantly a girl thing.

Pretty much most of the girl gamers I've known I've known from MMO's :) . You'd be suprised how many girls play MMO's, in nearly every guild I've been in it's had quite a few female players in it. (yes, actual females, we use ventrillo usualy for guilds I've been in).

Playing Halo 2 online has brought me across of few girls, even some that have played the game professionally.

I'm slightly surprised when I meet a girl who's into video games (aside from all the anime stuff), but it doesn't tell me much more about them than it would if I found out a guy was into it. I don't see it as an issue. However, the image presented by lots of businesses know, businesses, of pretty girls who play games in skimpy outfits annoys me.

I've little to say about female gamers, except I think it's good there's more then just males playing games. Why can't females? I especially worry overall that females get annoyed somewhat with stereotypes. Meh, I've hardly met any 'fps' girl gamers, but the last time I played online was Unreal Tournament 2000. I've nothing against game development, which I think is a good thing (as long as you're going to be one of those folk who do it for fun and other such good reasons as opposed to money -- the bad reason for most games' development these days). I just don't agree with the people for whom playing games is their life -- to me they're fun things that one does in one's spare time.
