Random acts of kindness

Only thing anyone has ever done for me is smith me full steel when I was a noob. And because of that fact, I haven't been too inclined to do kind things for people since i have worked for virtually everything I have; no luck in drops, either :( (I would say that monster drops have contributed a negligable sum to my networth; mabye 1% or less of it)

I was making pots in Lumbridge and overheard a conversation of 2 lvl 60s and one of them was deciding wich skill he should use to get a glory. I just withdrew one of mine and gave it to him.

Another time, at the slayer dungeon, some guy was killing Jellies in full rune because he forgot his hide and didn't want to bank. I let him borrow my set of dragonhide, when his task was over (he had like 20 left when I logged in) he gave me his rune large drop <3: .

Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks.

Some one was in Aurdounge bank asking for a ruby ammy - not a strength ammy. No one had one so I said I'll go make one. So i got all the materials and made one.

I gave it to him and returned to the bank, he said "thanks for being so nice, here's something for your trouble." and he gave me a Guthix page 1 :P

Well , allways kind and hmm trustfull. Helped this one that got hacked, he was on friends list and what are friends for. Got him dhides and bones so he could get even better. Also borrowed away stuff like my obby cape. That cape is still missing, backstabbed as i was. So will i do it again ? well might happen. Total loss on helping ppl around 2m backstabbed twice. Not all on runescape is players u want to remember as ppl u did know.

Iv got a really high level friend who always helps me out when i need it and used to often give me free stuff, in return i get her any high level herbs, secondary items, seeds etc anything that i cant use that benfits her.

For me, after slayer tasks i usually tele to lummy and just give all the 'junk' drops to the low lvls that are hanging arounf, like iron/steel armour and stuff, but if im feeling really generous il give away full sets of steel iv just made.

yes, very true. I have walked up and given something away, unasked, and had them be less then grateful, to put it mildly. I have reached out and been nice, and had them beg for more. I have added someone who seemed nice while training, only to have them pm me for freebies, "oh lord i was hacked, please help"...iggie list is full.

But my take on it is if we just assume they are all immature punks, and never bother to show them the right way to act, how to look out for one another when in need, lead by example, and teach them that how you act is more important then your combat level...then maybe RS as a community will get just a smidgen better. Think of it this way, it's a numbers game, if your nice to 10, and 2 are truly appreciative, and they are nice to 10, of which 2 are appreciative...you see how that spreads?

just a thought :-k

I remember this one guy saying that whoever wants to play a game follow him, and I ended up being the only one and he gave me around 2k iron arrows and 100 gold bars (a lot to me at the time) 8-) .

One time while hanging out in fally with my friend some kid randomly walks up to me and trades me.

On the trading screen pops up 3.6m and he accepts and says,

"Im quitting Rs so you can keep it..."

He then logged out and never came back again....

As for random acts of kindness myself...Usualy when I'm bored I'll go scrap up some Iron or Steel bars and go make some armor and weapons for the 'New Comers' in Rs.

I don't do it it often because about 80% of them are ungrateful little immature...I won't go there...

But usualy when I give them the stuff they either...

1. 50% of the time they walk away.

2. 30% of the time ask for more.

And as for the other 20%...Let's just say at least they said Thanks.

whenever im in lumby with a clue ill usually give the rewards to some person wandering around below lvl 10.

When I was buyin some willow logs on a f2p world I saw some lvl 3

walked up to him and gave him 10k for free.

I remeber when 10k was like millions when i first started.

Me and this level 125 were ecto-ing on the same world, and somehow we got onto the topic of quests. I had just died to the Horror from the Deep boss, and was pretty much broke. I didn't ask for free stuff or anything, but all the sudden she teled and away and came back with full rune + scim for me. Made my day. I added her in hopes to repay her someday, but she must have chat on friends all the time. Oh well.

when i was level 21, i was happily exploring the new world. then, a level 50-something quickly asks me for 50 gold so he can buy something. 50 gold was half my money then, as i was currently fishing and selling the raw fish to the fish shop =/

i give him the cash, and 20 seconds later he wants me to come varrok. i look on my newcomers map, walk there, and there he gives me 1000 gold. i was like

i went a little south to the weapon shop, sold some of my stuff and bought myself a mithril longsword, which i used from that level all he way to level 40 \'

since then i aim to do 1 good thing every day. normally, if a person wants to buy a law for 5k or something, i give them for free. but once, i felt particulary happy, and wanted to give a ring of wealth away to a random person. being the attention-to-detail person i am, i worked out the best random method was party chest, so i went to party hall, checked some people were there and pulled the lever.

to my delight, a level 41 wearing odd bits of armour got the ring.

Most I"ve ever got for free was 80 Raw Sharks, Cosmic Talisman, 30 Atk Potions, 20 Def Potions. He was a level 98 just gave them to me out of nowhere while I was in a bank. I'd never even seen him before. I said thanks and he said "No prob mate". Lol. That was early-mid 06' and I still have about 35-45 of those raw sharks in my bank.

I might give a newbie 2-3k, but that's about it. I'm still a newbie myself skillwise with 54 Combat. I've been playing since 04'. I tended to "quit" periodically.

Im not Mr. Santa, but sometimes when I forget to bring something, like prayer potion, and someone need a spade for barrow, I just give them mine and go bank for the potion and spade. Nothing big, but just to say that it doesn't really need much to make someone life a little easier.

When slayer first came out, along with the armoured boots, i remember walking around in al-karid, and seeing a level 120 wearing black boots. At the time, those were pretty valuble, and really cool.

I said "Nice boots"

and he traded me, and gave them too me. He just said "Have fun with them."

I try to be nice to people, quite a few of my mates can't get in world 2 very easily, since i'm there quite often, i go there and buy/sell stuff for them. Just yesterday my mate gave me 250k to buy an obby cape for him. It cost me 270k, but i didn't tell him that i just gave him the cape for the 250k he gave me.

Also, if i'm ever shark fishing at catherby and somebodies buying 1 raw sharks 1k, i give them 1 for free :)

In the old times kindness was not so rare.

When i was just a noob training range at the moss giants i remebered there was a guy close to me 20 levels more... we were speaking and I told him that i was saving for some item and I jist needed 30k left, but they were so hard to make...

He went to bank and returned with the money for free. I still Have him in the friends list, even if he not logs in by more then an year.

Few time later I used all I had for a good armor and thinked it would be a good idea to melee green dragons.

After a few trips I was ambushed by a mage and a ranger and lost everything. I was mad and crying and a guy close helped me making me a new armor (steel one if i remeber well) for free as I wnted to go back and hunt for them.. Of course I lost all again, and again, and again....
