Ever given or received absolute acts of random kindness?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When I first started, I was mining coal/iron and a level 99 (who at the time was like God to me) walked up and mined beside me, we chit chatted a bit, then as he left he said add me, if you need money, I am always in need of coal and I will always pay you the top going price. sweet, I became a coal miner for a short time. Later on I was training happily with my new rune set I earned one pick at a time. He would say hello when he saw me on, and I tried not to pester him to much. Well I was killing trolls, caught a lag and died...at the time, I was devastated, broke and unarmed. He just happened to pm me, "hows it going?" oh wonderful I responded, just died from a lag at trolls, and im flat broke...need any coal? Guess its time to go blow the dust off my pick I said. He said what bank you at? I told him Fally. He appeared, walked up and gave me 100 shark, 1k lobs, 300k gp and said that should get you going again, pay me back whenever.....wow...I was floored.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Being a combat jockey I flew up the levs, and passed him within a short time. When I was 123 he was just hitting 104, but his non combats are sick. I repaid him back and then some. Since then I like to do random acts of kindness. If someone begs for freebies, onto the ignore list you go, but if I see a low level working hard, not complaining, I do a daily act of kindness. Offloading junk really, but it makes their day, and makes you feel good. Any Addy crap I get from slayer, I walk up and give it to someone who doesnt have addy, or just alch it. When I was training fletching, and had 42k cut unstrung willow longbows, I walked up and gave them to a level 30 something who was fishing lobs for cash. Not worth me clicking 10 at a time to sell for 14gp or whatever it is.

A random guy gave me 300 adamant arrows.

 

 

 

We tried to kill the same guard in Falador, but he attacked first. I usually back off unless the other guy is being a total jerk about it. This guy was nice about it, so I backed off the guard and let him kill it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So he gives me 300 adamant arrows for seemingly no reason at all. Then he runs off. I was all "...What just happened?" But it made me happy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Giving iron sets to new players is usually one of my most gratifying experiences that I can have, simply because of the strong thanks I get from them. It makes my day.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And if drop parties count, I've dropped 100k+ at a few drop parties for my friends, and 100K is a lot to me. I'm poor, heh heh.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I never give to beggars, but I can always make time for those that do not beg.

Usually trade random people stuff. I saw a guy lose an axe head. Gave him a free axe. And sometimes have random drop partys because I have alot of stuff that I don't need and other people would enjoy.

i had a bunch of rune weapons and armour in my bank so i went around looking at players trying to earn money honestly and gave them something. i gave out somewhere around a million dollars but in the end i was happy because i wish someone would have done it for me when i was new.

sometimes i get stuff from clues or drops i am too lazy to sell or alch i just randomly give to lower lvls and tele away lol

well im on world 99 running the agility course (going for 99 btw) and if i see some guy run by obviously not knowing what he is doing, i'll help him out a lil bit, already helped out 2 people so far, so if you get stuck im here probaly for until late feb...

hehe ya, you can definately tell what I like to train and what I don't :uhh:

 

 

 

combat was easy, and I was trying to hit 20 million on strength exp before I deployed to Iraq, but fell short a few hundred thousand exp *sniffle*, now all I can do is watch my strength rank drop like a prom dress on prom night. was 299, now its.....eeeeeeeeek :-X :-X well, when I get back home I will work on it again hehe. Left in Oct 2006, wont be back until mid 2007, cant download the game on government computers, so I am forced to stalk the number one fan site :XD:

Sometimes I give some stuff away. In the past when newbies asked me to guide them somewhere I would give them a couple of k's when we got there for fun, I mean, it wasn't much but they still liked it and that's what it's about.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Recently while thieving the fur stall I met some newbie. I dropped all furs and he would pick them up and collect a big amount to sell in varrock.... We chatted a bit and we added each other. I expected him to beg, as all newbies seemingly do, but he just chatted, asked for advice and had fun. He never once asked me for something, he died, but instead of asking me for stuff he just asked for a good method to gain money and get back on his feet.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A little while ago when I passes white wolf mountain I found a death-pile. Full addy g and some other random things. I waited 15 minutes for the guy to reclaim it, but he never came. I just found the pile, I didn't see him die, so I had no way of giving it back. So I got on my way and stored it in my bank, wondering what I should do with it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Some time later I completed contact! and was happy since I had heard some people say it was very hard.. I was so happy I decided that since he was the first newbie on my friendslist who had not begged in any way, I would give the addy to him. So I called him over and told him to follow me when he saw me at the bank, as I didn't want people to see I gave him free stuff, since that would attract the newbies like well, newbies to high lvls... :P

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We had a few laughs about how I was supposed to be a pervert luring him to a quiet spot... And I gave him the addy g, 300k, a rune scimmy and some mith stuff I got from drops, as he couldn't yet use the addy. That just made his day, or week. It's no big amount to me, but as long as he is happy I'm happy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I then decided I would try to be a bit kinder to newbies as not all of them are begging little fiends. Usually when I'm busy and someone at falador asks me to bring him to the grand tree I just say sorry and leave. I think from now on I will try a bit harder to be nice to them and just make some time to bring them there.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In my experience it's things like this give me a sparkle of hope. That by being kind we can kind of spread the wub around. :P

Since I train at Giant Skeles, I usually help people with Damis when they ask me. Can't remember any other specific times.

when i was a lvl 20 and below i was in barabarian village(f2p) and say some guy with full blk(g) and said he looked cool. he gave me 2k and then just walked away. i was really low and poor so it made my day.later bought blk long

When I had first started out playing RS I met a guy named Cobalt99 (he's since quit RS :() and we became good friends. He helped me out so much when I was a noob. Once I asked him the price if a Diamond amulet and he just told me to come to the bank on his world, and he just gave me a few. I later on meet Lady Jean2 and she again was so nice and helpful. I still to this day have her added to my list and we chat a lot. Seems kinda silly now that I look back and some of the silly questions I asked him & her. Memories last a lifetime. ;)

coming back from abby demons after having 1800 lvls i was in a good mood so i was gonna cook him 100 wild pies...(turns out i had to make the things for him to but it wasnt that bad)

Whenever I find ores around, I make them into armor and give it to random people. I also give things to my friends when they are in need. When I was a newb, this guy made armor for me, and we were good friends and had fun times. Unfortunately, I think he got hacked and never met him again. Also, I'd like to say this: Just because they seem like a begging noob now, it doesn't mean they are always. They shouldn't be ignored forever unless they are really annoying about it. I have to admit, when I started I begged for free stuff, but soon I just started to move on.

 

 

 

Btw, I once danced for money, and a guy gave me 1k.

I first met a guy at fally, we started talking and we finally added each other. He went off to pk with his mates, pm's me and says that he died. Me having only 12 k in the bank, decided to give him my full rune. (we had only known each other a matter of hours) He couldn't belive what i just did (i couldn't belive what i just did! :anxious:), we became the best of friends, about a month later i died and lost full rune. He pm's me and asks how is the pk'ing going, i tell him i lost :-s. He says meet me at fally east bank. I go there he gives me full rune, a repayment, plus another 200 k and said "just in case". He has quit recently but we were the best of friends, did anything for each other.

i pretty much just stopped being nice to people because every time i do something nice, the person just tries to take advantage of me, begging for more, asking me to "take them" on a quest, and when i politely refuse, they get mad.

I was killing Infernal Mages, and, being slightly noobish at the time, was getting my backside handed to me. So this lovely level 114 helped me out with some sharks and super potions :)

I got 2 Addy trimmed armours (cant remember what types) from a drop party. I was like 'meh', what am i going to do with these?

 

 

 

I went to world 1, and tried to sell them, but i knew that it would take ages. After a few attempted scams i decided to just give them to some newb as i would get barely any cash for them.

 

 

 

I went to world 15 in Lumby, i gave one of the Addy armours to a level 21 and he walked off without a word. The other Addy item i gave to a level 15 who was trying to sell a Steel Mace. I traded him and gave him the Addy armour for free. He doesnt even say thankyou, but continues to try and sell his Steel mace, when im thinking, "Dude, you've just got more money than you have ever had, what the hell are you doing trying to sell a Steel mace?"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Just goes to show that there are still newbs out there. lol.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But in real terms, i am always giving free stuff to people. Especially people of TIF and in world 99. Such as Sk1l, i gave him 50 Home teletabs as he wanted some. : :thumbsup:
