poochu
I went around giving out Iron 2 handers in lumbridge today, i got the occasional "thank you" and met a very nice level 4 player who i have now added to my friends list. He was worried about some level 8 "h" (A person who sleeps around) who was harrasing him to be hes "bf". He comes to me for advice now, i feel so good. Also gave out some steel swords and other random low leveled items i had. I had some ungreatful people though come and ask for better or more stuff. but i like doing it occasionally, it clears out the bank and puts mei na good helpful mood. SirHartlar
I remember when I was doing a clue there was someone ranging the bears near the Legends Guild. I gave him some ranging advice he was so polite I gave him 1k iron arrows to help him. I like helping people but I can't do it all the time or I'd be broke.
Video_Tycoon
I give free sets of iron (soon steel) to level 10s and below. (Gets me mining and smithing exp!) Also, I fish at the lumbrige river, so I go over to the cow pen and give 20s and below my cooked fish. (Faster than dropping! \)

Cbkviper
i pretty much just stopped being nice to people because every time i do something nice, the person just tries to take advantage of me, begging for more, asking me to "take them" on a quest, and when i politely refuse, they get mad. The same thing always seems to happen to me. I used to do things like this all the time, and only once has someone actually thanked me for it. One time I offered to help this guy on a quest he was doing, and he actually ran away from me. :-k

One time I offered to help this guy on a quest he was doing, and he actually ran away from me. :-k well, once again, here is my theory; the RS (and RL incidentally) world is full of rude, immature people. We can assume all is lost and join them, or play the numbers game. The numbers game is ...say you are nice to 10 people, and 7 of them tell you to shove it, but the other 3 are surprised by a random kindness, or polite conversation, reflect upon it, and thus they each act kindly to ten people, etc etc...do the math...see how the numbers grow? The people who would have just stayed in their little box of a world, were brought out into the open, and now they are more outgoing, decent personalities. The rude and arroagant rarely change, so let them revel in their unhappiness. Show them the way by example, and if they don't decide to learn from it, ignore them. This coming from a hard core "A" type personality is funny in a way, but age and maturity has shown me the error of my ways. My tendancies have always been to backhand a rude person, now I try to bite my tongue and just ignore them. Pity them for being small minded, because you can't beat decency into them. Raven6666
Anytime I'm at my homeworld(110) and have some items I won't need, but selling them would/could get me quite a bit of cash, I just give them away as I don't like the hassle of the marketplaces. Good friends of mine receive "presents" every so often, a friend who got hacked and lost basically all: supplied him with some rune armour, weapons and draghide, which were all expendable. Another friend got full Splitbark for her Xmas pressie, and that reminds me, still have to give her birthday pressie. My acts aren't always of kindess nor random, sometimes frustration and a bit of friendship. Yet be on my bad side and you're probably going to be on a hate list. InsertCreditsNow
I think the most random act of kindness I ever got was complete rune from a good friend of mine whom I was good friends on both runescape and in real life as well. The story was, I was working to get money for my new rune armor and my friend over heard and said, "Hey come over to my world and I'll give you a surprise." I did and he just gave me free full rune plus 10 laws. Since that day I had been thinking of ways to pay him back. So about Thursday, me and him both were working on RFD and he wanted to go off and work on DT but didn't have the death runes for it so I told him that I would meet him in the varrock west bank and ended up giving him, 132 deaths, 29 bloods, various items and a 3 dose defence potion that I had just made. He said now that we were even again but I just laughed and said, "You would have done the same for me." Though I have helped out random people before and usually I don't even a thank you but alot of the time, I do get people who were very grateful for the items. Echofish
When I first met my friend he just told me to hold some of his stuff for him (Full mith, cakes etc..) He logged on to his other account told me to keep all the stuff and thanked me for not running off with it :D It was alot for me back then and he also dragged me out of ranged 'pureness'. Now that I got membership I sometimes go to the Hill Giants in f2p where I used to train ranged and bring some iron arrows with me to give away. I never gave any to those who had 'pk' on their names coz I hate pkers  Ultra Unholy,Hearted Machine...
