So I edited the pictures. ----------------------------------------------------------- All characters belong to Square ----------------------------------------------------------- Ok...so a couple of years ago I saw Advent Children and was bloown away by the graphics haha. I mean, I don't even play the games, but I watched it anyways cuz the pictures were so darn good. Then...I fell in love with Yuffie Kisaragi's outfit! I'm a sucker for ninjas hahah Um so instead of doing my usual drawing I decided to try sewing? Yeah sewing. Lol walking in the fabric store...good experience. I just noticed not many girls like to sew. Um yeah it's kinda hard at first, especially since my mom refused to teach me. But she has like EVERYTHING [almost]. Um so I sat there drowning in blood and tears trying to figure out how to use the sewing mACHINE. Dude that thing is so old! Anyhow it all worked out. Um yeah back to the point. I made a costume! It's a bit too early for halloween.. Basing off those references, I made a blueprint/pattern thing on photoshop: My costume [i'll retake pics of details later] - No front view yet since I didn't finish the pockets and hoodie Side View [Good shot on pouch] Three pocket/pouches: One's zipped up The other is just open and the biggest one has a flap (i need to add a button/velcro) [yeah my cam sucks] Tag on pants is sticking out haha Long glove [like 2 hours on this one] This was hard because the fabric doesn't stretch....and your hand is bigger than your wrist...had difficulties putting that one on. Short glove [hahah 20 seconds on this one] Made 100% from my ripped up orchestra sweatshirt hahah Progress Shorts > 100% Gloves > 95% Jacket > 85% Boots > 98% Stockings > 70% Inner shirt design > 5% Headband > 0% Shuriken 1 > 75% Fuuma Shuriken > 5% Weapon WIP: Shuriken 1 (i'm making a second one, this one's too big) Need to buy lots of chrome spraypaint and silver paint hahah Boot progress: stitches ------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------- I'm done! January 28, 200719 yr Whoa! Huge mistake to use chrome spray paint on the weapon. Sometimes it may deteriorate the tape on it, or may melt foam. Manually paint it with silver paint. You want to use resin to coat it. However, you might want to wear some protection for your nostrils, because that stuff is toxic. You can find resin at your local Home Depot or Lowes. Fellow cosplayer here too ^_^

January 28, 200719 yr Very nice! I can't see the boot base either rik. What did you make the weapon out of? shin is right, anything polystyrene based will melt in contact with spray paint, it's not actually the paint, but the propellant. If the weapon is pretty rigid already i'd just coat it with PVA glue before spraying it, cheaper, non-toxic and does the trick. You can get spray on PVA too i belive, havn't use it myself though. The clothes look great, especially since you've never done it before. :o Do you were it out lol? and i wonder if anyone will recognise you on halloween :P Can't wait to see the progress, dressmaking is not something we usually get to crit in the gallery! January 28, 200719 yr Nice man! 8/10 for all your work. shes a girl :wink: must say it does looks very nice. sorry have to say this, um, shirikens are ment to fit in the palm of your hand >_< that done... must say its looking very nice =) i once had a go at making a hooded cloack, infact ill find a picture... have to do a quick manip, original is very large and very darc... heh, got a tad carried away... :anxious: (if anyone wants to know how that was made i can supply a paint.net file) was rather fun, made 2 versions tho, one was using a rough piece of dust clooth (about 2 meters square tho) glad i did, its very useful for the hard parts when you dont have clooth to spair (or its expensive) i did find a few mistakes and i could unsow it and use as a template which is cool =) what was weird was i (a guy of 15, fairly large guy) had to go into a textiles shop (filled with little old ladies) and look for the ideal cloth that was amusing :XD: anyways enough about me... love the design and nice concept art =) the final thing is looking very nice, cant wait top see the final thing compleated. nice model for the clothes aswell. with the long glove, i know its too late now, but for future remember to think everything through, i saw some material ver similar to that you used (same finish) and it was elesticated, which im sure would have made it easier. does look good tho =) im guesing you buold the boot around another? it looks cool, just make sure you can still open and close it (or zip, whatever) properly, else it may be big problems >_< as for tips on sewing i cant really help, i used one of of parent to help with it, theyre good with a sewing machine =) PJB21 100% my own work, i make my own brushes: set 1 set 2

April 9, 200719 yr Author 100% DONE I'm happy For the purpose of identity I have blurred out my face, which sucks cuz you can't see the headband. These were random pictures from my friend's camera I'll take real photoshoots later with better quality. I made her tank top too big though. Ah well, compensates for the super short shorts. People on the buses and malls were staring at the weapon, I felt so out of place hahah The shuriken nearly killed me to make. I also placed thin glow sticks on the blades for the rave. Raving with a weapon is fun. It spins around and around... For those of you who are confused, this is a character I made after from the final fantasy movie: Advent Children Onward to pics... Good shot of my shuriken You can also see my friend's busterblade I have NO idea what I was doing in this picture. But the kid is so cute! There was a photoshoot...the other yuffies were awesome Thank god for the many pouches and pockets. I had lots of places to stash items This cookie is awesome. Reminds me of an emoticon?
