January 29, 200719 yr Thanks for the responses so far guys, it's great to see you are all mature enough to get past the whole 'yuk-factor' (unlike Toowoomba) :lol:Yea; I never got why they voted against it. It's not like desalination was a viable option for them unless they all pitched in an paid for both the pipeline AND the plant to pump them desalinated water - which they wouldn't do either
January 29, 200719 yr My girlfriend got in a huge argument with me one time because I told her our water was recycled from sewage. She swore up and down that would never happen. When I asked her where she thinks all the water comes from then, she said we always just have plenty. When I asked her what the sewage treatment plant 1 mile away was for then, she simply got mad and stopped talking to me for the rest of the day. Women are like sewage water sometimes. Full of...Heeeey ladies. What's up? The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past. - Me!
January 29, 200719 yr I don't see what is wrong with recycled water, all the yuckyness has been taking out, so there is nothing wrong with ^Sir Jem 05-The Bunny Drinking Blog?^ Click it!
January 29, 200719 yr We are running out of water dangerously fast incase you didnt notice, about 2/3 - 3/4 of our planet is covered in water. and we CAN filter the salt out of it to make it drinkable. My photobucket

In case you didn't notice, I live in the driest country on the planet, Australia, and desalination is incredibly expensive on a large scale.

Don't you think nobody would ever die of thirst if they could actually afford to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on filtering it?
January 29, 200719 yr yes im for it, its the least humanity can do now..... [iNSERT "I R EATIN TEH SHIX ATM" BILL COSBY SIGNATURE GIF HERE, LOL]
January 29, 200719 yr Imagine that all the water on the Earth is a 10 litre bucket. Only One teaspoon of that bucket is actually drinkable ^Sir Jem 05-The Bunny Drinking Blog?^ Click it!
January 29, 200719 yr Absolutely yes, we're fools. We destroy the natural cycles by diverting water. It'll the least we can do to recycle some of it, so as to dry up less sources. Water is a resource much wasted in America, it's a terrible point. 60% of our sewage goes untreated (Wall Street Journal, this morn), along with our love of the great lakes, we care not by drinking carted "spring water" which is dirtier then even some of the cheaper town filtered water. I laugh at people who buy poland spring, last I was by it, it did not exist, compared to ten years ago when it did. You're not even drinking "poland" spring.
January 29, 200719 yr Imagine that all the water on the Earth is a 10 litre bucket. Only One teaspoon of that bucket is actually drinkable Your teacher wasn't quite correct at all :P Out of a 10 litre bucket, about 300-400ml would be drinkable, so that's quite a handful of teaspoons.

Yeh, we just get water from dams. No recycled water yet, i don't think. Hey, and if we are using recycled, I wouldn't know anyway! ^Sir Jem 05-The Bunny Drinking Blog?^ Click it!
January 30, 200719 yr ALL water is recycled. The same water you are drinking today was drank by dinosaurs, bathed in by kings, and sailed across by pirate ships. It's pointless to be opposed to recycled water, because you're already drinking it. You only have to type four extra keys for me to not think "ur" an idiot.solardeathray.teensupergenius.com
January 30, 200719 yr But this water is out poo getting recycled, with I am happy about. The filter will do its job ^Sir Jem 05-The Bunny Drinking Blog?^ Click it!

January 30, 200719 yr They should go ahead and build the plant's and disguise them as cookie factories so the people don't know they're drinking it :P But yeah, I'm all for it. If it conserves water then it's good :D

It's pointless to be opposed to recycled water, because you're already drinking it. Not really :P The water medieval people used, or dinosaurs drunk, went into their systems and never came back (as water, anyways, and likely not into the sea). It wasn't recycled. And tip. it is the only forum that can turn a quote about water percentages into a discussion about powerpuff girls.
January 30, 200719 yr They should go ahead and build the plant's and disguise them as cookie factories so the people don't know they're drinking it :P That's what I would do if I were in a position of power, just set up a bunch of these plants and introduce the recycled sewage into the supply then after a few months, make an announcement along the lines of "LOL YOU ALL BEEN DRINKING RECYCLED SEWAGE." The reaction would be priceless. Also yes, I'm all for it.
January 30, 200719 yr Author Thanks for the responses thus far guys, good to see the overwhelming majority say yes.
