And yeah I totally get what you mean by bad guilds. I've had my fair share of them. However, with Ye Olde, we have somehow managed to get some really friendly and awesome people. The atmosphere is very nice both in Vent and in the guildchat. :) So I guess I'm lucky that way.

As far as I understood it, BM spec with a DPS pet for lower levels and MM spec with a tank pet (Boars rule) for higher.

 

 

 

Uldric will be best to tell you though, I haven't played a hunter beyond level 29.

you cant do that anymore, there are some doors that only open once the boss has been downed.

Depends what you want to do. PvP you'll want to go MM, purely for the burst damage and silencing shot. Get a cat, ravager, boar, they're all good.

 

 

 

Levelling you'll want to go BM. End game raiding you'll want to go BM aswell because the buff scales with your gear, plus you'll use less mana for the same damage. If you plan on raiding, get a scorpid with rank 4 scorpid poison.

 

 

 

Avoid arena, hunters don't go too well in them.

Warlock. The only time I put some form of effort into a different class was a paladin I took to lvl 32 before I realized that my insistance on trying to lifetap was not going to go away, so I tagged along with my guild and rerolled from horde to alliance. And leveled another warlock. So now I have a lvl 60 orc warlock - well, 65ish 'cause my bro played on it for a while after TBC came out before he reopened his own account - as well as my lvl 70 warlock "main". Any other alts are either warlocks or bankalts.

 

 

 

Plenty of other classes has aspects I can see myself enjoying, some radically different from what a warlock does, but I like being a warlock, I like a ranged DPS role in raids. And I like playing a class, and learning as much as possible about how to handle it (and warlock, with arguably the most spells used in the entire game sure offers a lot of things to play with) picking up new tips and tricks here and there.

 

 

 

Speaking of which; I wish this worked against undeads and people with trinkets =/

It's a class I hadn't really given a chance, and I like what you say about the variety the 3 trees give a lock. I might have to try it again :)

Edit: I was still in a level 68 cape (from Shattered Halls I think).

Started a PuG Karazhan tonight; cleared through Opera. It was a really strange group build but did amazingly well. 2 Prot Paladins, 1 Prot Warrior, 1 Ret Paladin, 2 Holy Priests, 1 Resto Druid, 1 Rogue, 1 Hunter, 1 Warlock. I was amazed that we did Oz with no mage, on our first attempt too.

 

 

 

The Retribution Paladin rolled against me for Ribbon of Sacrifice and won. That really pissed me off, but the loot rules were open roll, so what could I do? :(

 

 

 

I hope to do at least Curator and Chess tomorrow, should be fun!

More Kara goodness; we one-shotted Curator (finally got my role in the fight worked out and we had very few problems with the adds), did Chess and I GOT THE ROGUE SHOULDERS WOOT.

 

 

 

Had a few attempts at Prince, got him to 40% first try, we messed up second attempt and on the third one of our Lock's went *poof*, losing connection in the middle of the fight. We called it soon after.

Had a pretty good kara run tonight. We didn't have any priests on so we had a fairly odd group, looked like this:

So yeah a really weird group. Anyways we 1 shot attuman (ezmode) and even though we had a line of sight issue near the end of maiden (ended up having to do that twice) we did well on moroes. We ended up swaping a lock with a priest that came on, and we did this:

 

 

 

Kill 1.

 

Paladin OT's 1. (kill 2nd)

 

Chain paladin fear 1.

 

Shackle one.

 

 

 

 

 

It worked out amazingly well and we 2 shot him. First time we were getting the plan down (usually we have enough so we can shackle two and frost trap one.)

 

 

 

 

 

Sadly I didn't get any loot (dagger didn't drop lol) but I did hit honored and got the epic ring, so thats nice.

Haha, I joined a new guild and we were going to do Durnholde so someone could get the Karazhan Key from Black Morass. My group decided to kill that level 'skull' dragon right near the meeting stone; it took like a half hour and he ends up flying off before you get to kill him saying 'you will regret this' or some rubbish.

Kara is one of the first raids you progress in at level 70. Because a lot of us haven't been 70 but for a month or two its still fairly new and exciting to us. :)

kara --> Grulls ---> SSC ---> The eye ---> Hyjal (?) ---> Black temple

Leatherworking is costing me so much money to level its ridiculous... I think I spent about 250G on mats to get from 360-365 (5 Heavy Clefthoof Boots). Is the way to go to 375 rep grind for the Sha'tar and Keepers of Times patterns? It seems the most cost effective, but sort of time consuming. #-o

You should really consider leveling engineering, the new goggles are amazing.

 

 

 

As for trade skills, I was one of the first few people on my realm to get both the spellstrike, and frozen shadowweave tailored sets. I regret it now because levelling from 350-375 and making both sets, set me back over 5k gold :shock: .

 

 

 

Looking at it now, primals are relatively the same price but cloth is about half the price that I paid for. I guess it's worth it in the end since it's about equal to tier 5 gear.
