*sob* my subscription runs out in 2 days.. I hadnt noticed and i have no cash for a gamecard.. Plus if i added another one now it would probably be a waste because i'm away from home for all the weekends for a month.. then going on a cruise for 2 weeks.. If i can scrape 20 quid together from somewhere really quick i might buy a card... If not.. Ah well, it'll be mid august before i play again.

To be fair I did have a little QQ at the GM about yesterday, and I know he spoke to some people about it, but tonight they got me to help clear some Kara trash out and we played a game Chess with the deceased mage.

 

 

 

The Rogue shoulders and belt didn't drop but I wasn't bothered - I helped team 2 out and gained experience.

 

 

 

After that a few of us did a Heroic Mech run. Nothing interesting dropped for me but I did get more badges and again, more experience. I can't be too unhappy with that.

 

 

 

I'm definitely going to stick with this guild, not only are they friendly and very experienced, they want a nub like me to better myself and step up into end-game, and as far as I know, that's rare on a game like this one.

Cool stuff biox. The chess event is such an ezmode encounter.

 

 

 

I'm really hoping we'll have enough for kara tonight. One of our main healers is on vacation so I don't know if we'll have another shot at the prince before the reset.

 

 

 

 

 

We did do MC last night though, was fun. Sadly we couldn't beat the first boss (only had 10 people, and 1 of those could decurse) so it was a stacked fight. The trash got dominated though.

 

 

 

 

 

I'm trying to figure out some easy ways to upgrade my gear currently, although I am lazy and will probably just end up waiting until kara loot. Think I will quest a lot more though -- there are some good quest lines I can knock out and make some cash. I still need to get a damned mongoose enchant on my OH...

Gonna be without WoW till end of July due to work. The work's awesome though, teaching 8-12 foreign students English. And it pays well.

 

 

 

Shame, though, because it was all going well, was leading the levelling race in the guild, but whenever I start to get into the game, something pops up, and I then lose track/interest in my current toon and end up re-rolling. Can't get 'into' the game at all, really. Had I been since when I bought, I'm sure I'd be in Outland by now.

 

 

 

It feels like the game is really end-game based and so things like this are quite disheartening. Not too sure whether to stick with it, try another game or just wait till AoC comes out.

I'm the same way bubs. I've leveled so many characters, I have at least a 20+ toon of every class and most of them are 30 + except for three.

 

 

 

 

 

Also please don't worry about rushing to the end game. Yeah, raiding is cool and all -- when you do it. You only raid so many hours of a day though, so many days a week and the rest of the time it is kind of boring.

 

 

 

I'd just stick with the game if you're still having fun and wait for age of conan to come out to be honest.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also I've pretty much given up trying to be competitive in the arena right now. As much as I have wanted to (and i'll still do it) the gear gap is too large for me. Even scrubs at a 1500 rating have a few pieces of arena gear / arena weapons, while I'm trying to duke it out with an arena OH and a couple pvp epics from battlegrounds.

 

 

 

The thing is it'd take me 5+ months or so just to get the gear to be competitive in the arena, and far before that time i'll be in age of conan. So I'm really just enjoying end game raiding right now, working on getting the best I can for it and to see how far my guild can get before I leave.

 

 

 

 

 

Trust me though that the leveling experience is better. Yeah it gets dreadfully boring at times but at 70 half the time when I'm not raiding i'm just standing in town or [bleep]ing around in a battleground (not paying attention really).

Okay, I'm getting annoyed by the Prince fight. It's completely true what you said, Nadril... it all comes down to how lucky you are. Why can't Blizzard just make the infernals land on the same designated spot each time? The way it is now isn't "challenging", it's just random and completely pointless. If you're unlucky with the infernals, there's no way you can win the fight.

yup, its one of the worst designed boss fights in the game. Which is really a pity too because the rest of kara rocks.

Bit the bullet before maintenance tonight and started working on fishing.. got up to 209 before the servers went down.

I've actually never fished, once, in the game.

The idea its self is weird, rogues using 2hers? Well what if they did this:

 

 

 

 

 

Normilize sinister strike and hemo (hemo'd have to be changed so lets leave it out) to a weapon speed.

 

 

 

For example, a 2.8 speed weapon will cost 40 energy to swing a sinister stike. a 1.4 speed weapon would take 20 energy. Mean while a, for example, 3.8 speed weapon would take take something like 70 energy (or whatever, can't get the calculation exact).

 

 

 

 

 

What would happen is any speed weapon could be viable. Likewise having a talent, perhaps deep into combat, to allow rogues to use two handers. I know the idea sounds silly but think about it -- look at current warrior MS crits! The normalization would mean that a rogue would probably sacrifice a lot with a 70 energy attack, and because it wouldn't be positional the extra 10 energy does it justice over backstab.

 

 

 

 

 

I dunno, just a stupid idea really. Even if we couldn't use two handers it'd be cool for it to be normalized to weapon speed live shiv currently is.

Finding a good guild to run kara with and stuff isn't too tough if you know how to play. A ton of guilds are either putting it on farm status these days and/or working on it. Just make sure you like the players in the guild too. :P

 

 

 

 

 

I read a thread on mmorpg.com (because wow forums are down for maint atm) about how a guy was complaining about bad guilds. Really made me realize how lucky I am for my guild. We're a smaller sized guild and pretty much everyone in the guild knows each other and are friendly to each other. We've had maybe 3 things of drama in the guild the entire time and the member that caused it was removed/left afterwards.

 

 

 

 

 

Plus they're a bunch of really skilled players. :thumbsup:

Yeah I, truthfully, don't PUG anymore. Aside from the fact I have very few upgrades I can get from 5 mans these days but it just isn't worth it for me.

 

 

 

Did a heroic slabs group the other day, had a good friend of mine (resto drood) healing. Problem is the tank we had sucked really bad. (tank was a feral druid).

 

 

 

Now my guild has a feral druid and he tanks kara. I guess maybe I'm just lucky (the feral is my 2v2 partner too :D) but I can not pull agro off of him. However, this PUG tank? not a chance of him holding agro. I ended up tanking some of these mobs (hitting me for 2k a pop in heroic) most of the time.

 

 

 

 

 

The druid then went afk for 15 minutes randomly. We kicked him and got this warrior. The warrior walks inside and goes "oh, this was heroic?" :wall: . He was a bit better of a tank luckily, but still not geared up enough to run a heroic instance.

Good to know it thrives throughout :P ...Wait.

 

 

 

I'm being very harsh though, I doubt I'm much better than the people I slag off - but at least I know when I smeg up :P

for alliance people... whats the least number of pulls you reckon you could do DM in. solo. I just did it in 8 but i know thats beatable.
