It's the number of members that matters most of all. I realise that 99% of people only get members after being freeplay, but it's the number people who pay to play that really matters.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

untrue, most players stay at f2p cause they cant pay.

I read somewhere that there is about 9 Million RS accounts and about 1 Million Members, now of course lots of them are pures and stuff and people do quit so there are unused accounts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rs is still getting larger, and soon it might get a lot larger since Jagex are planing on making the game into other languages.

Um, I started off on Miniclip? I don't see what's wrong with that. I don't use it anymore but that's how I found out about it.

It's probably increasing overall. However, a lot of people do seem to be quitting as of late. I think that during the summer, after school is out, the number of players will increase (I'm sure it always does).

I think gaining players because they hit over 1 million accounts about maybe 1% autoers (10,000 autoers) and the rest are F2p and P2p accounts (duh!). But it is growing I can not give exact percents ( I do not know) but it is growing just at a slower rate.

I started out on Miniclip too but use the main page to access account for most of Runescape playing life

Nothing is wrong with Miniclip, Jagex pays to have the game posted on their, and Miniclip gets money from it somehow.

Alot of players are autoing on many accounts at once...Some are drop trading pures who multiple log...Some are people who quite early...Some Will play for a long time...Some played since the start...Alot are quitting...Most now days started just a while ago =; .

RS has definitely slowed down from about a year ago. To be honest I think that Runescape has just saturated the market. So many people started around the same time, and now it will probably settle into an average ebb and flow of players over the next 3 years or so.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And with the German version... it will probably [bleep]e by another 50k-100k people. But since most of them won't be able to speak english, that's a whole new amount of problems for Jagex.

ive been looking on wikipedia, and there is more and more people playing runescape than ever, although the german version is to talk german, perhaps they will invent a translator, so you can speak their but when spoke, using a program, it loads to your screen in english, although such programs are extremly difficult to create, i only know of 1.

I believe the growth rate on members has slown down quite significantly, as there used to be new servers created almost weekly. Nowadays, you're lucky to see a new server update every month. However, with the implementation of Runescape in different languages (such as the German Beta), there is great potential for growth. Jagex has to take into account, however, that the European gaming industry is much different from that in North America. If Jagex plays its cards correctly, expect to see an influx of players from these changes.

ANyway, the number of players usually peaks at 240K on weekends, I admit it has slowed down, but not stopped. Im thinking its because of the time of the year.
