PS2 is probably one of the best consoles ever made, whereas the PS3 is arguably with the worst of 'em.

I dunno', I'm sure you'll have Blue107 here in a second telling you how great it is because you can watch Blu-ray and stuff on it, but it is supposed to be for playing games, and right now, the Xbox 360 has the most selection. If you give it about 2 years, the PS3 will drop $200 in price and the games will probably be a lot better, so then and only then might the PS3 be superior. :P

Yea, It would be a better idea to stick with your PS2. Because of the PS3, the PS2 games are dropping in price. Even if I had a choice between a PS2, 360, or PS3, I would take a PS2 just because IMO, it's the best system ever made next to N64. So instead of buying a brand new PS3 for $600, buy a re-designed PS2 and a bunch of games.

Well you can't argue hardware-wise that the PS3 is the best system ever made. That doesn't translate to overall system success though, as we all learned. As they're not going to be making ps2 games forever, why not try out getting a Wii or Xbox360? Personally I'd recommend a wii. :)

ps2 vs ps3.

Graphics are better

No rumble

Better online

Bad ps1 downloads

Web browser

Motion sensor

If you've never had a ps2, i'd get a ps2 still. ps3 currently isn't worth it. Unless you're rich.

I'm sticking with my PS2 for now until Sony produces something worth buying the PS3 for(Which will probably be quite a while.

I'm a hard core RPGer so really, at the moment the PS3 has nothing for me.

I'm content with playing Rogue Galaxies on the PS2 for now.

I've been mentioned by name, my ego has never been higher

It all depends on what kind of gamer you are, PS2 has a huge library with good gameplay. A PS3 has an unpredictable library at the time so if you are on a budget then id go with a 360

Give the PS3 some time. The xbox wasn't the system it is todaywhen it first came out.

I personally am waiting for T6. I can't wait until that comes out!! :D

Anyway I'd say get a Wii but I'm more absorbed into finding a PS1 memory card so I can save FFVIII (mate said gamestation had VII, they had VI and VIII, so I went with VIII)

Sorry to ask, but could you explain your idea of what the xbox was 'then' and 'now'.

Because, IMO, I can't see much improvement >.<

You're completely right. A half hour of Zelda and I'm just mind-numbingly bored. At the rate I'm going I'll finish the game in early 2009, because, well, you know that wii. It's graphics and gimmicky gameplay can only keep my attention span for a half hour. But man, that Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire for the PS3. That game keeps me hooked for hours.

i wouldn't waste my money on a ps3 when you can get a 360 and a Wii for around the same price
You can get the crippled 360 and a Wii for the price of a crippled PS3

Ugh, that argument is so three months ago. You don't have to actively swing the remote if you don't want to. I have never gotten tired once from playing with the wii. It just doesn't happen. If you get tired using that remote, you shouldn't be playing it in the first place, and should be in a hospital doing physical therapy until you can go back to the real world where people actually use their arms. I was going to say muscles, but you don't even really use much muscle moving a remote through the air. Which, let me say, is completely optional. You can just flick your wrist if you want.

In order to do any kind of movement requires muscle
