February 28, 200719 yr A while back, in the "good ol' days" of Runescape, Thordur the dwarf sold disks to players. The disks, called Disks of Returning, were used to return from the black hole. Since I was not playing Runescape at the time, I was wondering If anyone has any pictures of what the black hole looked like, or just even what Thordur looked like. Thanks. :D Written descriptions are good too! Kiss my axe.
February 28, 200719 yr I think the hole was just like the black area at the end of where you can see with a low angle camera view, except it was all around you. All you could really see was the characters that were in there.
February 28, 200719 yr Author Right, but where there banned characters in there, just standing there, logged in, unable to do anything else? Could you walk around? Was it common to run into banned people, or others that were visiting? Kiss my axe.
February 28, 200719 yr I actually had a pic before my hard drive crashed, I was laughing at my friend who got sent there :P then I dropped the disk of returning. Thanks to Fally|Thor for the sig :Wub:It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt. - Mark Twain3636 to 99 fletching on Katakid1 date unknown#13,300 to 99 range on April 2nd, 2008#14,323 to 99 mage on May 18th, 200899/99 mage99/99 range94/90 hp75/88 str

February 28, 200719 yr i'd love to see a pic of it too, probably extremely hard to find some1 with it though.... There's no such thing as "wireless." Just really long extension cords.
February 28, 200719 yr To the topic poster : The black hole was just a black area of the map (that you see when going near borders) You were teleported in it and couldnt move anywhere, nothing to see either. Spinning the disk simply teleported you back to the mapped area. Quest cape obtained at combat level 83, march 07.
February 28, 200719 yr Apparently, some people who entered the black hole were tricked into dropping their disk of returning, thus leaving them stuck there forever. :XD: ....:::Datasi:::.... ....:::99 Magic:::.... ....:::99 Thieving:::....http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/3741/picture15jm6.jpg[/img:c156a
February 28, 200719 yr Apparently, some people who entered the black hole were tricked into dropping their disk of returning, thus leaving them stuck there forever. :XD: Pretty sure that was the reason why they got rid of it. Check out my Pocket Slot idea!

February 28, 200719 yr Author I know what being in a black space is like, as I've been in it as a glitch. However, could you see people in it, or talk to others in it? Could you see banned characters stuck there? Kiss my axe.
February 28, 200719 yr Oh I'd love to see a picture, but I guess it's impossible. Don't think anyone got one. Sure hope someone does. Credits to Skully Sc for the signature.

Could you see banned characters stuck there? You could see and talk to other characters that were doing the black hole experience. So, only people that had bought a disk and took the ride. You could not walk anywhere. A banned person was placed in an empty area away from the black hole , so you could not see, or talk to them. (it's not a punishment if you can talk to people) ~M
February 28, 200719 yr I'd love to see some pictures of it, probably nobody has got one as it was quite a while back.

(it's not a punishment if you can talk to people) there was early black holes where you was able to walk..some ppl might remember my story of it when i was put there for punishment but i got to escape from there in same day because i was able to walk by clicking minimap in black area and found falador where nearly same level player was able to kill me with bow and i got out to lumby.
March 1, 200719 yr I had some awesome RSC pics, but it got deleted when my computer crashed. I didn't have a pic of the black hole thing, though.
March 1, 200719 yr Wait, could you buy an extra disk of returning and give it to a banned person? I <3 Gears of War 2. Add me on Xbox Live and mention you are from Tif :D

March 1, 200719 yr Wait, could you buy an extra disk of returning and give it to a banned person? No, banned people were not in the black hole experience, so you couldn't see them. You could only see normal players that took the trip, and yes you could trade them. Many people had to make noob accounts to get out after they lost their disk. ~M
March 1, 200719 yr It would be good to see it, but what an origional way of banning people, I must say. Click sig for my hawt blog
March 2, 200719 yr http://www.geocities.com/runescapegrudge/ Not my web site, ok? This is an old pic of the black hole which was originally used as punishment or perm ban of players. People got so curious about it that they made chars just to abuse rules and get banned so they could see the black hole so Jagex made the black hole experience so that people could see it without getting into a lot of trouble. I used it back in the day for taking stat pics, it was good for screenies. The Runescape Wilderness - Meili's Blog
